Beta Darius was in the house with Janice and when I opened the door, I saw Janice in his arms. They were cuddling. "What is going on here?"

They quickly disengaged from each other and the Beta bowed his head. "Luna, greetings."

eyes moved from the Beta to my friend and she shifted her eyes away from me.

This was my friend's moment. I felt betrayed that Janice told me nothing about her and the Beta, but again I did the same to her with Alpha Leo and I had no right to interrupt her moment. "Uhm! I was driving through this neighborhood and I just decided to stop by to see you. I have to get going now." "Let's have coffee before you leave," Janice said, stopping me in my tracks.

Coffee was just the thing I needed and I was not ready to go back to Alpha Leo's place so I agreed to stay back for coffee.

I walked over to the couch and sat on it. Janice left with Darius to make coffee in the kitchen.

I smiled to myself when I heard their loud chatter and giggles. They were a real couple and it felt good to see that Janice had found a match.

At this moment, I wished Dakota was here. I wanted to let her run wild and freely. I believed she was the one I heard this morning. That meant that she would be awake soon and I could not just wait for that to happen.

If she was here, she could have found a way to make me feel better. I wished she did not bail out on me when Sebastian rejected me. She was hurt alright, but I was too and it would have made a lot more sense if we were there for each other.

My phone came on for the hundredth time and I rolled my eyes For a while now, Alpha Leo was trying to get through to me and each time he called, I did not pick it.

Annoyed at how much he was calling me, I picked my phone and switched it off.

Alpha Leo was pacing up and down the room when I opened the door to our room. My eyes fell on the bed. It was changed, but that was not what had caught my attention.

There were petals of red rose flowers on the bed. The petals formed a heart shape around a bouquet of flowers on the bed.
