Chapter 46
Chapter 46
Third Person's POV
Demonise didn't expect the turn of events. Everything was under control when she started chanting the spell, but she underestimated the powers of the other five spirits; they were fighting her to save the little boy. She's enraged but continues chanting a spell as a counterattack to the other spirits. Her pride is too strong to be defeated without a fight because she believes she is much stronger than the others.
Alexandria and her other four spirits wouldn't allow Demonise to take advantage of the little boy's power. The five of them didn't let go of each other's hand and continued the rituals to bring Demonise to submit to Alexandria as one of her spirits. When their powers conjoined as one, they became stronger than Demonise.
Demonise was so enraged and decided to use her power in full force. But that was an impulsive move she had put up. She wasn't thinking deeply and now blood was coming out of her nose for using too much power, but she doesn't care as long as she won't be defeated by the other spirits. She still thinks she is too mighty and has more advantage because she is not trapped anymore as Alexandria's shadow. She is powerful and no one can defeat her! That's what she thought.
"You can't defeat me! Never!" Demonise shouted in rage and used all her strength just to defeat the other spirits because she doesn't have any slightest plan on giving Alexandria's body back. She's so adamant to stop the spirits from fighting her.
But she's wrong because the other spirits successfully get out from the darkness and they are back in their world because of Azrael and his wolf. And their power was so strong when their bodies absorbed some energy.
Demonise screamed and decided to face the five spirits in their world. Her body was glowing with dark energy and she saw the five spirits circling together while holding hands and powerful energy enveloped them. She gritted her teeth because she couldn't come closer to Alexandria and the others.
I am more powerful than them! She thought and began chanting a spell while collecting all the dark energy around her.
When their powerful powers clashed together, the clouds darkened, indicating that a rain will pour down soon, but it wasn't raining because the clouds were filled with electricity and lightning. And a huge hole like a whirlwind appeared. It looks scary and any time, the hole might absorb them.
From the outside, Luke and Alexandria's bodies were floating inside a magic ball while a string was connecting to their bodies. Luke's power is now awakened. Even though Luke is unconscious, his powers automatically enhance the recipient who desires it.
Demonise laughed because she can feel her overflowing power because of the little boy's augmentation magic. But her laugh died down when Alexandria and the other spirits' powers also overflowed. She couldn't believe it. She wasn't the only one to receive Luke's power!
"Demonise, stop your wrath now and be one of my spirits," Alexandria said gently.
"NO!" Demonise opposed while clenching her fist.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
"Then we don't have a choice but to eliminate you in Alex's body." Damona uttered while glaring at Demonise. She doesn't like Demonise even one bit.
Demonise laughed deviously, "Let's see who will win! Hahaha."
Demonise stopped laughing when her gaze met with Alexandria's alluring eyes. They were oddly calm like a sea, and she didn't know, but she felt the warmth in Alexandria's gaze. Is she hypnotizing her?
"Demonise, you only have one chance. Be one of my spirits and let's save the whole world together from the real devil." Alexandria said and stared straight at Demonise's dark, hollow eyes. Alexandria continued, "We will still accept you and love you as you are. We are one and we should stay together forever."
"Be one of us, Demonise." Xandra, Val, Willow, and Damona said in unison.
Alex! Xandra! Val! Willow! Damona! I know you're in there. Please come back! We need you. Azrael and I need you!"
Khael's voice echoed, and they all looked at each other, flustered.
'Demonise, please stop this! Have mercy on us.' Khael continued.
Suddenly, they felt pain around their body like something was wrapped around them. All of them screamed in pain. Demonise stumbled into the ground and crumpled like a ball, trying to ease the pain. But it won't subside.
They knew someone attacked Azrael using silver, but it wasn't just any ordinary silver because it weakened all of them.
Alexandria and the others didn't let go of each other, even if they felt intense pain. They heard Demonise screamed in pain while trying to ease the pain. Damona tried to reach for Demonise's hand.
"Demonise, hold my hand," Damona uttered weakly.
Demonise was too weak to argue and stared at Damona's hand in surprise. She hesitated, but the pain in her stomach reminded her and finally reached Damona's hand and gripped at it tightly. Willow grabbed her other hand and all of them fought the pain together. Demonise didn't argue and was fascinated by how the other spirits reacted. It's like they weren't holding a grudge on her anymore. It was making her uncomfortable, and she didn't know how to react properly.
Just like that, Demnonise felt like home. She wasn't feeling alone anymore because she had them. Now, she regrets being a rebel spirit. Being with Alexandria and the other spirit was hard to believe.
Suddenly, all of them were floating in the air and the wind was blowing furiously. They screamed and tried to fight the strong force. Their world goes upside-down, and the wind was like a madman that was continuously spinning them in circles. They closed their eyes and they don't know what happened anymore when a familiar force pulled them up. It was like a feeling of déjà vu.
Meanwhile, Sabrina and the others were trying to stop Azrael from getting inside the huge hole, but they used the wrong tool. When lightning struck the silver rope and it was cut, all of
them were shocked when Azrael's body was slowly absorbed by the huge hole followed by Alexandria's unconscious body.
It was so strange why only Azrael and Alexandria were taken by the huge hole. Sabrina couldn't believe what had happened because it was so sudden. And now, they don't know what to do. It's like they lost all their will to fight, especially Layla. They felt weak and unmotivated.
Lucia stands strong for everyone. "Let's go back to the Kingdom. The King and Queen should know what had happened," she said while letting out a deep sighed.
Sabrina just nodded and stood up. Her eyes were swollen and sad. She felt so useless after what had happened. Without a word, Lucia opens a portal, then they get in one by one, including Vorges.
When they arrived in Tibbertan Mountain, it was filled with warriors in full armor and weapons. They were all ready for the war. Lucia walked towards Felix Agua, the head of the knights, and she told him about their encounter earlier with the enemies. She told him where the enemy's current location was. They chatted for a bit longer and gave some tactics on how to get the enemies down. Though, Felix feels uneasy when he learns that there are thousands of enemies marching towards Tibbertan Mountain. It wasn't helping when he also leamed that their enemies had taken the beast on their side.
"Lucia!"
Lucia turned around when she heard her name being called by a familiar voice. Her eyes widened when her gaze fixated on the beautiful girl who was smiling and walking towards her.
Cybelle was so surprised to see Lucia, and she couldn't hide her joy. The moment she
reached Lucia, she hugged her enthusiastically. However, Lucia's feelings were the opposite. She felt scared for the princess. She let go of the hug and stared at the princess then said, " Princess, welcome back but you shouldn't come here. It was so dangerous. Come with me and we will go back to the Kingdom."
Cybelle frowned and shook her head, "Lucia, I can't go back. I want to fight. You can go but leave me here."
Lucia stared at Cybelle intently. She knew Cybelle pretty well, and the girl always got what
she wanted. That being said, she knew the King and Queen let Cybelle fight in the war. If not, Cybelle wouldn't be here. She sighed in defeat and nodded, "Okay... but Princess, please be careful."
Cybelle grinned and nodded happily. "Don't worry about me, Lucia. I trained so hard all these years and I'm sure, enemies can't hurt me."
Lucia just gave the princess a faint smile and didn't argue. She saw Sabrina and the others with a creased forehead while studying Cybelle intently.
"Who is she, Lucia? Why did you call her a princess?" Layla asked, confused. Because the only princess she knew was Alex.
Cybelle studied Layla and smiled. Before Lucia could reply, she introduced herself, "Hi! I'm Cybelle, the princess of Moonlight Kingdom. I didn't see you before. Are you new in the Kingdom?"
Layla and Sabrina frowned and their forehead creased in confusion. "Who the hell are you? Alexandria is the Princess of Moonlight Kingdom. Are you fooling us?" Sabrina said harshly with her eyebrows furrowed together and her eyes narrowed while studying Cybelle carefully.
Cybelle, on the contrary, felt hurt by Sabrina's harsh words. A mist formed in the corner of her eyes and Lucia saw it. She sighs and says, "Princess, I apologize on their behalf. They didn't know your identity. I will talk to them about you." Lucia said in worry. Tears streaked down on Cybelle's face while shaking her head.
"No need, Lucia. I understand." She sniffles while wiping her tears. It still hurt her when she learned that she was adopted. The truth hurts, and it stabs like a knife. She still couldn't accept the truth, though. She lifted her head and looked straight at Sabrina. "I may not be the real Princess, but I grew up with that title and everybody knows me well and respected me. But whether you like it or not, I am still the Princess of Moonlight Kingdom, even if Alexandria is back," she said confidently. The reason why she cried was that the truth just slapped her hard that left a scar on her chest. She can't accept the truth that she wasn't the real Princess.
"You're ridiculous. Claiming the title that was not yours in the first place? How brazen." Sabrina said, eyeing Cybelle intently. She doesn't know what is happening and decided to talk to the King and Queen as soon as possible.
Lucia frowned and looked at Sabrina. "Sabrina, please respect the princess. Let's go back to the Kingdom and you can ask the King and Queen about Princess Cybelle." Sabrina frowned at Lucia and then eyed Cybelle once again. "Come with us," she said and walked towards the gate. Lucia gave Cybelle a reassuring smile and nodded. Cybelle has no choice but to come back to the Kingdom.
Sabrina, Layla, and the others already step inside the gate, and then Lucia and Cybelle follow. They were all just silent.
Vorges was still in awe when he stepped inside the gate and a calm forest greeted them. He looked around and couldn't believe that there was another world. His mouth agape when they reached the entrance of the forest and saw the whole Kingdom. It's like they were in another dimension.
Allia and Clinton had the same reaction with Vorges. They couldn't believe a beautiful place existed behind those white gates. Are they in another dimension? They thought. Unfortunately, they couldn't voice out their opinion because of the awkward atmosphere caused by Sabrina and Cybelle.
The town folks greeted Cybelle and Lucia as they passed by. Sabrina learned that the town folks respected Cybelle. So it only means one thing, Cybelle grew up as a princess. She was confused and badly needed an explanation.
When they arrived at the palace, they went directly to the throne room where they found the King and Queen discussing something. They greeted the King and Queen first. Queen Leia looked at each and everyone and frowned, "Where's Alex?" she asked.
Sabrina and the others except for Cybelle suddenly became gloomy that made Queen Leia nervous. She couldn't help but think that something had happened to her daughter. "Auntie, Uncle, we're sorry, but we failed on our mission. We failed to bring Alexandria back."
"W-What happened?" Queen Lela asked while shaking. King Alexander waited for Sabrina to talk furthermore.
Sabrina sobbed and Lucia decided to tell the King and Queen about what had happened. They shook their head incredulously, completely flabbergasted at the news. Queen Leia stumbled back in her chair while shaking her head. She went completely shocked at the news. She was overthinking the scenario in her head and constantly shaking her head.
Sabrina sighs and looks at Queen Leia, "Auntie, Cybelle claimed that she was the princess of the Moonlight Kingdom. Is it true? I'm confused. Can you enlighten me?" Queen Leia and King Alexander looked at Cybelle, then at Sabrina. Queen Leis cleared her throat and nodded to Sabrina, "Cybelle is my adopted daughter."
That sentence alone enough for Sabrina to comprehend the situation. However, she finds it unfair to Alex. She was about to say something when Layla spoke furiously. "That is unfair! You took Cybelle into your home and she had been living a princess life and growing up with a complete family and happy while Alex was living miserably? I don't understand this! You choose this girl over your real daughter?!"
King Alexander and Queen Leia were speechless at the sudden outburst of Layla. Layla gritted her teeth and clenched her fist tightly. "You don't know how much Alex had suffered all these years thinking she had no parents anymore. And yet here you are raising another kid? Yet you can't raise your flesh and blood? Bullsh*t!" Layla was in so much rage and barged out from the room hurriedly full of tears. Her emotions had been bottled up inside her and she couldn't control them anymore. She wanted to vent out her anger, so she chose to leave the room.
Sabrina looked at Queen Leia while shaking her head in disbelief and followed Layla. Sabrina and Layla are affected by Alex's disappearance and their emotions turned rollercoaster and couldn't think straight. They blamed themselves for what happened. Vorges followed Sabrina and Layla hastily. Cybelle also darted out of the room in tears. While Allia, Clinton- with Luke in his arms, and Lucia remained standing and didn't know what to do. Silence filled the room, and it was deafening.
Queen Leia burst into tears, and now that someone said it in front of her face. She felt guilty, and it was eating her alive. Because in the first place, they should've taken Alexandria when Rachel and Dominic died. Now that Layla reacted that way, they were more afraid of Alexandria's reaction.
