Chapter 116
Nesta’s POV
The room was filled with a peaceful stillness as I slept soundly between Nolan and Rowan.
The warmth of their bodies wrapped around me was a comforting cocoon, and for a moment, all the worries and fears of the past days melted away.
I slowly awoke, the first thing I noticed was the gentle rise and fall of Nolan’s chest against my back and the steady rhythm of Rowan’s breathing beside me.
I opened my eyes, adjusting to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains. It took me a moment to realize what was happening.
Both Nolan and Rowan were holding me close, their arms wrapped protectively around me. A frown creased my forehead.
When had Nolan allowed this? Did he even know Rowan was here?
But as I lay there, the initial confusion gave way to a sense of peace. I allowed myself to bask in the warmth of their embrace, feeling the rise and fall of their breaths synchronizing with mine.
For now, I decided to relish the moment, letting my eyes remain open and absorbing the serene sight of my surroundings.
Then, something unexpected happened. A gentle flutter in my stomach.
My eyes widened in surprise and shock. Slowly, I’moved my hand to my belly, and there it was again–a small, unmistakable kick.
I let out a small gasp, the sound barely audible but enough to stir Nolan and Rowan from their slumber.
Nolan’s eyes opened first, filled with concern. “Nesta, are you okay?” he asked, his voice still groggy with sleep.
Rowan sat up quickly, his expression mirroring Nolan’s worry. “What’s wrong? Is it another panic attack?”
I shook my head, a smile spreading across my face. “No, it’s not that,” I reassured them, my hand still resting on my stomach. “The baby kicked.”
For a moment, there was silence as the words sank in. Then, Nolan’s eyes brightened with -excitement. “The baby kicked?” he repeated, his voice filled with awe.
Rowan leaned closer, his eyes wide with anticipation. “Can I feel?”
I nodded, guiding his hand to where I had felt the movement. For a few tense seconds, nothing happened. The baby seemed to have decided to play coy, and I began to worry that they would think I had imagined it
But then, just as I was about to speak, there it was again–a gentle, unmistakable kick against Rowan’s hand.
A look of pure joy spread across his face. “I felt it!” he exclaimed, his voice filled with wonder. “I really felt it.”
Nolan moved his hand to my stomach as well, and the baby responded with another kick. His eyes softened, filled with a love and tenderness that made my heart swell.
“Our baby,” he whispered, his voice barely above a breath. “It’s really happening.”
Tears of happiness filled my eyes as I looked at both of them. “Yes,” I said, my voice choked with emotion. “Our baby.”Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
We stayed like that for a while, the three of us connected by the tiny life growing inside me. Nolan and Rowan took turns feeling the baby’s movements, their faces lit up ..h excitement and wonder.
It was a perfect, precious moment, one that I wanted to hold onto forever. I want to stay in this moment forever and ever.
“I can’t believe it,” Nolan said softly, his hand still on my stomach. “This little one is already making
their presence known.”
Rowan nodded, his eyes shining. “It’s incredible. We’re going to be parents.”
I smiled, feeling a sense of completeness that I hadn’t felt in a long time. Despite all the challenges and uncertainties, this was our reality.
We were a family, bound together by love and the tiny miracle growing inside me. Or is it with a force more than we know about?
As the baby continued to kick, I felt a wave of gratitude wash over me. No matter what lay ahead, I knew we would face it together.
This moment was a testament to our resilience, our love, and the unbreakable bond we shared.
Eventually, the baby’s movements slowed, and a calm settled over the room. Nolan and Rowan held. me close, their warmth and love enveloping me like a protective shield.
I closed my eyes, a contented smile on my lips, and allowed myself to drift back to sleep, knowing that we were stronger together and ready to face whatever the future held.
A minute later, the joy and contentment of the moment were replaced by a sudden jolt of realization. I felt a wave of confusion wash over me.
Had I told Nolan and Rowan that the baby was theirs? I couldn’t recall ever having that conversation. My mind raced as I turned to look at them, my heart pounding in my chest.
“Nolan, Rowan,” I began hesitantly, searching their faces. “Who told you the baby was yours?”
Nolan met my gaze, his expression a mix of concern and reassurance. “Maria did, Nesta,” he explained gently.
“When you were kidnapped, she told us everything She said you kept it a secret to protect the baby and because you were planning to run away.”
I blinked, trying to process his words. “Maria told you?” I repeated, my voice barely above a whisper. Memories of the kidnapping and the moments leading up to it flooded my mind.
I had confided in Maria, but I hadn’t expected her to reveal my secret like this. My heart felt heavy with a mixture of relief and apprehension.
Rowan nodded, his eyes filled with a newfound understanding. “She said you were planning to leave to keep the baby safe, but now you want to stay because you’re in love with Nolan. She said the baby is ours, mine and Nolan’s.”
I felt a lump forming in my throat. Tears welled up in my eyes as I absorbed their words. They knew.
They finally knew the truth. And their reactions, their joy and acceptance, were more than I had ever hoped for.
“… I didn’t know how to tell you,” I admitted, my voice trembling. “I was so scared of how you would react, of what it would mean for all of us. But it’s true. The baby is yours, both of yours.”
Nolan reached out, gently brushing a tear from my cheek. “Nesta, you don’t have to be afraid anymore,” he said softly. “We’re in this together. We’re a family, and we’ll face whatever comes our way.”
Rowan squeezed my hand, his touch warm and comforting. “We love you, Nesta. And we love this baby. Nothing will change that.”
The weight of their words settled over me like a warm blanket, comforting and reassuring.
For the first time in a long while, I felt a sense of peace. The truth was out, and their reactions had been everything I needed to hear.
“I love you both,” I whispered, my voice filled with emotion. “Thank you for being here, for understanding.”
Nolan leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to my forehead. “Always,” he murmured.
Rowan smiled, his eyes bright with emotion. “We’re in this together, Nesta. Forever.”
As we sat there, wrapped in each other’s presence, I felt a profound sense of gratitude. Our bond was stronger than ever, and the tiny life growing inside me was a testament to our love and resilience.
In that moment, surrounded by the two men I loved and the promise of our future together, I knew that everything would be okay. We were a family, and nothing could ever change that.
This right here is perfection.
