Revenge After rebirth (Mayra and Anderson)

Chapter 40

Chapter 40

The room at the amusement park was much larger than Mayra's house. As she was sleepy, she turned to Anderson and said, "Andy, I'm going to rest first."

Anderson removed his suit jacket. "Hmm."

She entered the room and noticed that there was only an antique sliding door between her and his room. Before he entered, she hurriedly closed and locked it.

Were all the hotel rooms at the amusement park like this? Did Anderson know that? He could hear any tiny movement she made.

She couldn't believe he arranged this room, but Mayra didn't believe he would do anything to her. He probably didn't know about it beforehand.

She changed into her pajamas, washed herself, and laid on the soft bed. Then, she turned off all the lights in the room, leaving only one on, and rested back against the pillow.

She vaguely heard the sound of the shower next door, but she soon fell asleep.

After his shower, Anderson walked out of the bathroom in dark pajamas, drying his hair with a towel. A black suit jacket was sprawled on the bed. When he saw something fall out of his suit pocket, he stepped forward and picked it up from the ground.

...

Mayra didn't sleep peacefully. The same nightmare haunted her. She was half awake when she began hallucinating.

She noticed someone standing next to the bed. It was a familiar silhouette that appeared to be Anderson. She grabbed him, weeping. "No! Don't hit me again! It hurts..."

In her dream, she heard someone say something, and her nightmare suddenly ended. She gradually calmed down.

Anderson wiped away her tears, wondering what she had dreamed about that made her so sad. Mayra slept peacefully throughout the second half of the night, with no more nightmares.

He had reserved all the luxury suites on this floor, and the floors were soundproof. As soon as she fell asleep, she slept until 1:30 p.m. the next day.

When she woke up, she turned over and touched someone next to her. Mayra was stunned for a few seconds.

She opened her eyes and saw Anderson lying beside the bed with his hands on his eyes. She didn't dare to take a breath. Her eyes widened as she accidentally laid her hand on his chest.

Seeing that he was about to wake up, Mayra hugged the pillow and feigned being asleep. She turned over again, facing away from him. She pretended nothing had happened. She slept so deeply last night that she had no idea when Anderson came in.

When she was a child, up until junior high, she relied on sleeping beside him to get over her nightmares. As she was no longer a child, she had to keep her distance from him in the future. She couldn't continue like this.

Mayra bit her lip and felt her ears grow hot. She then buried her face into her pillow. She was worried that Anderson would find something when he got up to get dressed. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Did she have another nightmare last night? Perhaps Anderson had come over to check what was going on with her.

Could she have grabbed his clothes and stopped him from leaving? She was so drowsy that she couldn't recall anything. He walked to the next room, closed the door, and got dressed.

Soon, the hotel manager knocked on the door. "Mr. Barlow, lunch is ready."

"Hmm, go prepare a new set of clothes."

"Yes, Mr. Barlow. By the way, our receptionist received a call from Ms. Fisher this morning. She claimed she had something to discuss with you. If it's convenient for you, please call her back as soon as possible."

...

Mayra got up shortly after Anderson left. But she found a delicate and exquisite pink diamond key bracelet by the bed. When she touched it, she felt something unusual. The diamonds on it might have been real.

"Did you sleep well?" Anderson walked in.

Mayra stood up. Her long hair was unkempt, and she hadn't yet changed out of her pajamas. She raised her head and asked seriously, "Do you give this to me?"
