Colby was dead serious.
Sophie just laughed.
Meanwhile, at the Minton estate...
Odie was sitting in his study, looking out at the yard below, feeling inexplicably irritated. "Have they arrived yet? What's taking so long?" "Boss, our guys just left; they can't have gotten there that fast."
Just then, the sound of a car engine came from below.
Sophie and Colby got out of the car, and upon seeing this, Odie returned to his desk chair.

rooms have been prepared

Sophie nodded and then supported Colby as they headed upstairs.
Polly pointed to two guest rooms opposite each other, saying, "Both rooms have been prepared for you. Please, rest early."
"Wait, we're a married couple. Why would we need two rooms?"
"Oh, that... It was the boss's
arrangement. He said Mr. Colby has serious injuries and should rest
properly. It wouldn't be convenient for you to stay in the same room, so"
"You don't need to worry about that on your boss's behalf. We're fine sharing a room."

Colby nodded, and Sophie told Polly, "You don't need to report back to your boss. We're quite tired and will rest now."
