Revenge is Best Served… After Reborn

Chapter 1185

Sandy bolted before Caelum could even get a word out.

"You little rascal! I didn't say you could tag along!"

The butler beside him chimed in, "Sir, if the young lady is willing, letting her gain some experience outside might be beneficial."

"That troublemaker is always giving me grief! Devonport is so dangerous; what if something happens to her?"

Frustrated, Caelum slammed his cane on the ground. "Send more people to keep an eye on Sandy! She must not come to any harm!" "Yes, sir."

Just as the butler was about to carry out the orders, Caelum suddenly changed his mind. "Hold on."

"Is there anything else, sir?"NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

"...Withdraw all the guards around them."

"But... this will put the young master and the young lady in danger."

"If they are to gain experience, how can it be called so without any danger?"

Caelum realized he had been too indulgent with these two kids. He thought of the Burke family's child, who had endured rigorous elite education and countless hardships to achieve their current mental fortitude and accomplishments. Then there was the Costello family's child, who, stranded abroad from a young age, became a legendary figure overseas with their own hands.

And the Russell family's girl? Smart and cunning, with deep schemes, she had established a company like S Corporation at such a young age. Her future was limitless.

The Aldridge family, of course, had Gordon-mysterious and unpredictable. Even Caelum couldn't completely grasp his thoughts.

And Harold? Reserved and strategic, with more grit than his older brother. The things he's involved in are beyond ordinary reach.

Jenna from the Dennis family was ruthless in the business world. How she managed to oust her own father to take control of the Dennis family was well known among insiders. Then there was the Tredgold family's boy, who loved to play the fool but was definitely not as simple as he appeared.

When these individuals gathered,

their interactions seemed no

different from ordinary people. But his foolish son and daughter standing amongst them instantly showed the stark difference. While others were plotting and scheming,

his son's mind was filled with

nothing but food!

Being carefree wasn't necessarily bad, but it was far too dangerous for those born into their kind of family. Moreover... he didn't know how long he could protect these two children. Letting them gain experience with Sophie and the others might not be a bad idea.

Meanwhile, in Devonport-

Late at night, outside a house beyond the city, Colby stood in front of his car, playing with a lighter in his hand. The flickering light cast & cold and gloomy shadow on half of Colby's face.

Sounds of a scuffle came from the house, but in just a short while, the people inside retreated.

"Sir, we've dealt with everyone."

"Okay."

Colby slowly walked into the yard. His men had tied up everyone inside. Each person was battered and bruised but not bloodied.

"Following your orders, we were quite gentle."

In the past, anyone who crossed Colby would end up in a terrible state. However, over the past year Colby had changed; he never shed blood in his actions anymore. But the outcomes for his opponents were never good.

Colby glanced over and asked, "Are all these people after Griffin?"

"All of them are."

Upon receiving this answer, Colby nodded.
