Chapter 10: Alfred, You Are Going This Far
Chapter 10: Alfred, You Are Going This Far
"You are not allowed to go anywhere without my permission!"
Alfred pulled her hand firmly as if he were about to break her wrist. He had to make it clear.
"Let go of me. You and I will be divorced soon. Do you want me to pester you again by pulling me like this?"
Lauren looked at him sarcastically.
"Lauren, you just want to attract my attention, right?" Alfred who seemed to know it all said. "You are really cunning. You have hooked up with another man before we get married. I've been cheated a long time ago. And you always act like an innocent and affectionate woman."
No matter how Alfred looked at Lauren and Noah, he felt so irritated.
As Lauren raised her head and looked at Alfred, her face also became gloomier.
He kept saying that she cheated on him. When did he admit that she was his wife? She didn't forget that he dragged her to the Civil Affairs Bureau for divorce today.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she got.
"Well. How can I compare with you? You got a wife at home and a mistress outside. You even forced your wife to give way to the mistress."
"Enough! Carrie and I sincerely love each other. And you are just a bitch who flirts with men
everywhere!"
Alfred walked up to Lauren and pulled her out of Noah's arms.
"I want you to draw a clear line with him now! As long as we have not divorced, you must abide by your duty as my wife."
He lost his temper. Even if he didn't want this woman, he wouldn't allow her to have an affair with other men first.
He repeatedly warned himself that this was just the dignity of being a man. Especially the man she seduced was his cousin, which was equivalent to slapping him in the face.
"My so-called duty is to watch you and another woman together. And I should even applaud for you, and then as the biggest obstacle in your love life, I have to make room for you."
Lauren was so furious that she wanted to slap him again.
She never knew that this man could say such vicious words. He considered her as a puppet without emotion.
However, Lauren's hand was caught by Alfred before she raised it.
"Lauren, I let you do it once because you almost died today. Don't think that I let you have a second chance to hit me. Don't push it."
He pushed her hard and Lauren couldn't stand it and fell directly behind him. Fortunately, Noah caught
her in time.
"Alfred, you are going too far!"
Noah hugged Lauren tightly.
He thought he was wrong. If he knew that Lauren would be so unhappy after she married Alfred, he would not let her go at the beginning.
Alfred looked at Noah angrily, "My cousin, don't forget who you are. If Lauren doesn't divorce me one day, she would still be my wife."
He called Noah his cousin for the first time for the purpose of reminding Noah of his identity.
In the Kent family, such scandals would never be allowed to happen. The Kent family would not allow it, nor would Noah Kent's parents allow it. Once the news that Noah cared too much about Lauren was exposed, only Lauren would be hurt more.
Noah felt sorry for Lauren. He had no choice but to let go.
"She fell into my arms just now because she was too seriously injured. Lauren is a good girl. She is not what you think she is." This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.
Noah looked at the stubborn girl who had passed out because of pain in his arms. The pity in his eyes grew stronger.
"It's just my unrequited love for her. But I can tell you clearly, as long as Lauren is willing to be with me,
I will give up everything for her."
Noah did not hide his feelings for Lauren.
Alfred was even more restless as he heard that.
Seeing Alfred's mood, Noah kindly persuaded, "Lauren is a very good girl. Perhaps one day in the future, you will regret everything you did to her."
"I believe there will never be such a day. But now please leave. I haven't divorced her yet. I am still her husband. With her husband taking care of her, you, an outsider, can leave."
Alfred felt annoyed when he saw Noah care for Lauren so much. He just wanted to drive this man out of his sight.
