Chapter 447 Rashad'S Visit
Chapter 447 Rashad'S Visit
Chapter 447 Rashad's Visit
When it was almost the weekend, the Old Riley hoped to have a family gathering and invited Emma.
Usually, the Riley family gathered, but Emma had divorced Baron, so she never joined them.
This time, however, the Old Riley deliberately invited her. Emma didn't know the reason. NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
After arriving at the Riley manor, Sophia and Emma heard laughter from the living room. They
exchanged looks in confusion.
When they entered, the Old Riley still smiled. "Here you came. Baron, look who she is."
Baron went over with Sophia and Emma. When his gaze fell on a woman, who didn't seem to have
been aged by time, he recalled something.
"Is that you, Lily?"
Emma also walked to the woman. "Lily. It's really you, Lily!"
Sophia saw a young man smiling gently at her while sitting next to the woman, who was called Lily by
her parents-in-law.
"Why are you here, Rashad?" she asked.
Rashad stood up. "It's been a long time, Sophia."
Drake watched him walk to Sophia.
'Rashad?' Drake had heard about "Rashad" before and finally met him in person.
Much to his surprise, the man looked slightly similar to him.
Drake also recalled that he seemed to have met the woman called Lily by his parents before but
couldn't remember where or when.
In confusion, the Old Riley asked, "Sophia, do you know Rashad?"
Sophia was excited. Earlier, she heard Rashad would come to Sealand and wanted to pick him up.
Much to her surprise, Rashad had shown up.
Nodding, she answered, "Right. Rashad is my senior in high school. He's an excellent man. Grandpa,
why is he here?"
Not to mention Sophia, others were also puzzled.
Aria had no idea what was going on.
Baron asked the woman, "Lily, where have you been over these years?"
The Old Riley looked at her and asked, "Lily, just tell them."
Lily Witt looked upset. "Baron, after your brother passed away, I was too frustrated, so I ran away from
Riley Manor and didn't return in the past decades."
"After I left, I found myself pregnant. I gave birth to my son, Rashad. I've never considered returning
here in the past years. Once I come back, I'll think about your brother. You know how much we loved
each other before."
Baron nodded. He envied his brother and sister-in-law in the past, for they loved each other deeply.
Unfortunately, his brother passed away in an accident.
"Now my son has grown up. I can't hide him from you selfishly. That's why I brought him back to the
Riley family."
Sophia gaped. "Rashad, you... you are Drake's cousin."
Rashad walked to Drake. "Nice to meet you, Drake. I didn't expect you to be Sophia's husband. It
seems we're destined to meet."
Rashad looked gentle and easygoing. Somehow, Drake didn't feel touched, although they were blood-
related.
Instead of shaking his hands, Drake glanced at him and asked, "It seems you knew my wife earlier
than I did."
Rashad knew it took time for Drake to digest all the information. With a smile, he withdrew his hand and
looked at Sophia dotingly.
"I think so. Sophia was quite brilliant at school. I was in my last year of senior high, but she always won
first place in each contest. I could never win against her."
"Oh, come on, Rashad. You deliberately let me win at that time." Sophia was excited when mentioning
the past.
"How could it be possible? You had two post-doctoral degrees back then, but I only obtained one. How
could I be compared to you?"
"Rashad, stop being so modest. Do you think I don't know how competent you are?"
They were in friendly banter with each other. Watching them, Aria smirked as she could tell Drake had
a new rival in love.
The two talked to each other and ignored Drake utterly. When Drake couldn't tolerate it any longer, he
held Sophia into his arms and announced, "No matter how early you knew Sophia, she has become my
wife."
Sophia looked at him in confusion. "Drake, what nonsense are you talking about? He's my senior."
Drake whispered in her ear, "If you talk and laugh with another man, I'm gonna torture you after Bonnie
falls asleep at night."
Sophia wondered if he got jealous.
Watching them interact, Rashad smiled, "Sophia, you and Drake seem to love each other deeply. I'm
so happy for you."
Drake stared at him with an inquisitive look in his eyes. He didn't believe a single word Rashad had
said.
Baron walked to him. "Sophia, since you know Rashad, I won't bother introducing him to you. Drake,
you must take good care of your cousin. I've told you about your uncle before. Our family would have
been lively if he hadn't passed away."
"Also, we wouldn't have to be parted from your cousin. By the way, Lily, why did you hide Rashad from
us all the years? You must have encountered much trouble when bringing him up alone. Before you
left, we told you you could always return to our family. I could have treated Rashad as my own son. I
could have helped you."
Lily beamed at him. "I didn't want to disturb you too much. After all, I would think about your brother
when seeing you..."
"Alas..." Baron heaved a sigh. "I couldn't accept the news when my brother passed away. It's been so
many years. Life still goes on. Don't worry. Now you've returned. We'll hold a grand celebration party
for you."
Lily was touched. "Thank you all so much. I thought..."
Baron immediately interrupted her, "Stop overthinking. As we said years ago, even though my brother
has passed away, you still belong to our family."
Lily nodded in appreciation.
The Old Riley also echoed, "Since you've returned, stay here. We still keep your room. I also let a
servant prepare a room for Rashad."
The Old Riley liked Rashad very much. Earlier, he had thought Drake was the only grandson in the
Riley family, but surprisingly, he had another grandson.
He believed his oldest son sent him luck from Heaven.
Later they had dinner together.
