Natalie’s tone was one of excitement and happiness. Perhaps it was because she’d just had a wonderful holiday in a castle–like estate.

Skylar couldn’t help but smile with her.

Suddenly, she heard someone calling for Natalie.

“Natalie, Mr. Hughes would like to see you. When did you meet him? He’s treated everyone to coffee!”

When Skylar heard them refer to “Mr. Hughes“, she raised an eyebrow and asked, “Is that Jeremy?”

Natalie was silent for a moment. She replied, “Alright,” before continuing, “it’s him. He came to the set with Helena, who was coming over to make a guest appearance. I have no idea why he wants to see me now. I’ll take a look. We’ll talk soon, Skye.”

Skylar replied thoughtfully, “Alright.”

Had Jeremy gone to Fachington with Helena? It looked like he’d given up on Natalie. This was a great thing.

Natalie went to see Jeremy.

Everyone knew that Jeremy was a powerful man. They’d prepared somewhere for him to rest. Even Helena was treated with the same level of respect as Austin.

Natalie had to admit that Helena seemed to glow when she was acting. It was hard not to fall in love with her. She believed that Jeremy genuinely liked Helena.

He must’ve been intoxicated when he went to see her in Jipsburg.

However, she felt like she had no idea what to say to him when they met. He was at once familiar and strange to her. Natalie didn’t know what to do.

“I heard my colleagues say you wanted to see me. What’s going on?” She believed that waiting for Jeremy to realize her presence was a waste of time, so she broke the silence first.

Jeremy looked at her. She’d slimmed down from the last time he’d seen her.

When Jeremy stared at her without saying a word, Natalie said hesitantly, “You…”

“Do sit down. Let’s have a chat,” said Jeremy softly. He averted his eyes.

Natalie shook her head and said, “This scene will be over soon. I can’t leave my place for too long.”

She was scared that Helena would misunderstand them. After all, she used to be married to Jeremy. Although they were divorced, people tended to misunderstand them when they were related in this way.

Jeremy’s eyes darkened like the calm before a storm. He asked, “Are you still bothered by what happened that day?”

“You were drunk. I didn’t hold it against you. In addition, it looks like you’re getting along with Helena well. Of course you’d just been drunk.”

Natalie sighed in relief. He’d probably sought her out to talk about that and apologize. There was no need for that.

Even if they couldn’t be married, and they couldn’t treat each other as siblings, there was no point in dwelling over this after getting over it.

Jeremy’s frown deepened. He asked, “Are you sure you’ve got nothing else to ask about why Helena and I have appeared on set together? Do you have anything you’d like to know?”

“What happens between you and Helena are your private affairs. I know how to keep my distance,” replied Natalie with furrowed brows.

Why did Jeremy seem to be behaving absurdly? What was he pissed about?

Jeremy’s eyes turned cold. He glanced at Austin, and Austin returned the glance. The director cut him off.

“Do you like Austin now? Have you gotten together with him now?” Jeremy’s knuckles were white from his grip on the chair. His every word was, forced through gritted teeth.

Natalie’s eyes widened. She asked, “Jeremy, who did you hear this from? I’m his assistant. I do like him, but that’s because he’s my favorite actor. It’s not what you’re thinking! Mr. Powell is focused on his career. Such suppositions are unfair forward him!”

Jeremy was probably the only person in the world who would come up with such unsupported guesses.

Jeremy’s fingers loosened around the chair. He knew Natalie. If this was what she was saying, she definitely felt nothing for Austin.
