Rush: Part One & Two: Part 2 – Chapter 82
The doctor applies the usual gel to Domi’s lower abdomen, and my aunt smiles from ear to ear, waiting impatiently to see her fetus. Nicolette grabs my hand, nervosity taking over for her as well. Jean is on the other side of the room, trying not to faint at the thought of a human growing inside of Domi. It’s a good thing too because he’s a fainter, and I don’t think I’d catch him before he’d drop to the floor. As long as there is no blood, he should be fine.
“How are we feeling, soon-to-be Mom?” Doctor Alvarez asks, and Domi lets out a sharp breath.
She’s not had the easiest of pregnancies this far with back pains, feeling extra sensitive everywhere, and nausea throughout the whole day. I’ve bought her more crackers and given her more backrubs in the past few weeks than I have for anyone in my entire life.
“Well, except for the fact that my morning sickness happens at any hour, I’m doing well,” she says as the doctor runs the machine over her stomach.
My eyes shift to the screen just to see… absolutely nothing. I don’t see anything at first, not until Doctor Alvarez points at the small bean that’s going to grow into my cousin. The thought is weird and beautiful at the same time.
“That’s good. From what I can see here, everything looks great. The baby looks healthy.” All four of us start smiling at the news.
For a split second, my mind drifts to the day Val and I will look at each other in the same loving, joyful way Domi and Nicolette are right now, after hearing their child is healthy.
I shake my head, forcing the thought away to focus on my aunts, who are asking Jean and me what we’d like to do now.
“I have a date I don’t want to be late for, but I’ll see you tomorrow,” I say, giving Nicolette and Domi a kiss on the cheek. Jean tells me he’s fine, he doesn’t need one, and I can’t help but chuckle as I walk out of the room.
Valentina called me yesterday, telling me to put on something nice for dinner at her house. I decide on a white dress shirt and black pants, hoping it’s fancy enough for her liking. The last thing I want is for Val to be disappointed because I didn’t put enough effort into my appearance.
With my hair still dripping from the shower, I walk toward her home, excitement now filling my chest. Rose petals lead from the open gate all the way toward the veranda, where she’s waiting for me in a long, red dress, the same color as my F1 car, and a smile that has my knees weak. Every curve of her body is highlighted in that damn outfit, and it takes everything out of me not to kneel before her.
“You’re the most beautiful woman to have ever walked the Earth,” I say as I approach the only person I want to spend the rest of my life with, pulling her against me by those hips that make my mouth drool.
“Ever?” she asks, amusement on her face as mine stays serious.
“Ever.”
I wrap my lips around hers, needing to taste the watermelon flavor of her lip balm, which I’ve loved since the first time I kissed her. Her hands lift to my stomach, one of her favorite parts of my body, while I slide my tongue through her parted lips. My hands hold her face, and a little moan leaves her, driving me crazy.
“The food’s going to get cold,” she says, breathless and quiet, when I move on to kiss her neck, feeling the soft skin against my mouth. “Gabriel,” she half-warns, half-moans, and I step back with a smirk on my face.
Her cheeks have turned a warm shade of pink, and I bite my bottom lip in response to the thought that she is definitely wet for me right now.
“Where do you want me?” I ask, and Valentina flashes me one of those naughty grins, which never fail to make me race more in love.
“For now, in that chair,” she says, pointing to the one on my left.
I walk to the right one, pulling it out and waiting for her to sit down to push it back against the table.
“Thank you.” Her voice is soft, full of love, and I press a kiss to the top of her head.
I settle down on my own chair, for the first time inhaling the aroma of the paella she made. Candles are on each side of the pot with more petals on the table.
“You look gorgeous,” Val says, and my eyes lift to hers. “Thank you for dressing up. I thought it would be fun,” she explains with a shy look, and I place my hand on top of hers, guiding it to my face where she traces my bottom lip with her thumb.
“It is. I just wish you would have let me help you cook or set all of this up,” I complain, and she lets out a small laugh.
“That’s not how it works, Monsieur Biancheri. I invited you on this date, so I get to organize everything.” I shake my head, disbelief washing over me. I’ve never had someone do anything like this for me…NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
“I’m the one that’s supposed to spoil you,” I counter, but that makes her frown.
“Says who?” she challenges, crossing her arms in front of her chest to push her breasts together and knock the air out of my chest. “Well, whoever it is, they can fuck off because I get to spoil you just as much as you do me,” she says, placing some of the food onto my plate.
I watch her with fascination, unable to speak.
“Bon Appétit,” Valentina adds before bringing a spoonful of her meal to her lips, a mischievous grin on her face again.
“Uh oh, what did you do?” I ask, trying her food too. Naturally, it’s the best paella I’ve ever tasted.
“I got a tattoo today,” she states, folding both of her lips between her teeth to keep from showing me any kind of emotion. I, on the other hand, must have a thousand of them wash over my face.
“You didn’t,” I say, too shocked to believe her. Val merely shrugs, putting another spoonful into her mouth. “Where?” I ask, needing more information. The thought of her having a tattoo excites me to my core.
“Hmmmm, I think you need to search and find it,” she replies, leaning back in her chair and wiping her mouth with the serviette she put on her lap minutes ago.
A smile tugs on the corners of my mouth until it has set itself on my face.
“Will you give me a tip?” I ask, standing up to walk over to where she is.
Her chest starts rising and falling more abruptly as I drop to my knees in front of her, one of my favorite places in the world.
“It’s in the same place as yours,” she says, and I forget how to breathe. Fuuuuck.
One of her legs rests on top of the other as I run my fingers over her ankles, guiding them apart. The slit in her dress lets me trail my hand over her right thigh, and I lean forward to press a kiss to it. Goosebumps instantly cover the area around my lips, making me smile.
“You have to stand, baby, so I can see your tattoo,” I say, but she takes my chin between her fingers to grab my full attention.
“It’s not on my ass.” It’s on her hip bone. I don’t think I’ll survive that.
My heart races while I lift her dress by the slit until the tattoo is exposed to me, two little words written on her skin: Bon Appétit. I lick my lips, my mouth watering.
“Do you like it?” she asks, but all I manage to do is nod. “It’s not meaningful at all, but I think it’s hot,” Val explains, and I reach out to trace the outside of the clear bandage.
“It’s too sexy, ma chérie. I don’t think I can resist what it’s saying.” She spreads her legs for me, and I bring one of them over my shoulder, her black panties exposed to me now. I lean forward, my fingers pushing the thin fabric—
“I’ve just had the weirdest day of my fucking life!” Adrian’s voice comes from the gate area, and I jump up, putting distance between Val and me.
He appears on the veranda just as I fall back onto my chair, panic in his eyes.
“Shit, am I interrupting date night? I’m sorry.” An awkward silence fills the room as he passes by us, stopping to inhale the smell of the food. “Can I take a plate?” he asks, and my girlfriend clears her throat, forcing her head back into reality.
“Yeah, sure,” she says, her eyes shifting to me as Adrian walks inside to grab a plate. “I guess we should eat first,” she whispers, and I smile at her.
“We should, but let’s hurry up. I crave dessert.”
