While Nathan was having a peaceful time with his family in Eurasia, Max was sitting in his office with a grim look on his face in Ariarica.

His vice general, Shearson, had just informed him about the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jessica's death, and the total wipeout of the Wasp Special Attack Unit.

Jessica was not only Max's superior but also his old friend.

She had always been the vanguard in his plans of thwarting Eurasia. Max never expected that she would die in

Nathan's hands this time.

He clenched his fists tightly, his gaze turning malevolent and terrifying.

Standing in front of Max, Shearson lowered his head and held his breath because he had never seen Max this angry.

With his voice barely a whisper, Shearson continued reporting, "The situation has changed recently. Remdik hates us to the core because we have cooperated with many countries and imposed sanctions on them for years. Now, with us doing the same thing to Eurasia, I believe that both the countries have formed a

pact."

Upon hearing that, Max finally recovered from the news of Jessica's death.

"Remdik's economy has deteriorated in recent years. As such, we have nothing to worry about them. As for Eurasia, they have strengthened their economy and defense but they still can't pose a threat to us,” he uttered. “That being said, if the two countries unite together to fight against us, we might have to start preparing for the worst."

Shearson replied, "You're right. The higher-ups are saying the same thing.

They think that we must do everything in our power to stop Remdik and Eurasia from becoming allies. In fact, it'll be better if we can destroy their friendship completely."

Max sighed. "They're already cooperating with each other closely, especially in military affairs. I don't think it'll be easy for us to create a divide between them."

After a brief hesitation, Shearson stepped forward and said, "I have an idea, Admiral Max."

Max's eyes lit up with interest as he looked up at Shearson. "What is it?" Excited, Shearson told Max his plan. "Our spies in Remdik have news for us. Gammon the Great's beloved daughter, Princess Sofie, was reported to have traveled to Eurasia to pursue her studies as a commoner."

"I've also heard that Gammon had asked Nathan Cross to look after his daughter. Now, Princess Sofie is staying at Nathan's house during the weekends," he continued.

By that point, Max could already tell what Shearson's plan was. "Are you going to make use of Sofie to create a divide between Remdik and Eurasia?"

Shearson exclaimed, "As expected of your quick wits, Admiral Max! That's right. Sofie is the beloved daughter of Gammon the Great. If she dies in Eurasia under Nathan's care, Nathan will definitely be held responsible for it."

He concluded, "Think about it, how

will Gammon the Great think of Nathan if his daughter, the Princess of Remdik dies in Eurasia? Even if the two countries don't start a war because of this, a rift will still be driven between Gammon and Nathan. When that happens, Remdik and Eurasia will cooperate less with each other. Then, Ariarica will have nothing to worry about."

Max nodded in approval and praised, "That's a great suggestion. It might just work. I leave this job to you then, Shearson. Send someone assassinate Sofie and remember not to send anyone from our

get

country. It'll be best if you can get someone from Eurasia who wants

to join Ariarica to do it."

Shearson replied, "Yes, Admiral Max! I'll make sure the assassination carries out perfectly!"
