“Are you crazy?”

Jackson yelled frustratingly.

“Rosa this is not the way to deal with this situation…”

He Scolded while she was sitting on her office chair calmly, unaffected by his words.

“You got ready to marry someone else just because you want to hurt Skyler, that’s it!… You are not moving on…”

He frowned. Jackson couldn’t believe that sensible girl like Rosetta will take this kind of decision.

“And you are going to hurt yourself too… Don’t do it… Please…”

He literally begged.

“You love Skyler, don’t punish yourself like this…”

Rosetta smiled bitterly.

“Love?!… I shouldn’t have put my faith in that word… It doesn’t matter anymore”

She shrugged.

“I experienced it once, everyone does it. Some people make it, some can’t… In my case, I wasn’t lucky enough to get it… And it’s okay…”

She replied casually but Jackson could clearly see the pain behind her careless words and cold eyes. She is hurt and he knows.

“I can’t fall in love with anyone anymore… I am sorry, I don’t like to repeat stupid mistakes… I want to move on and I can’t do that if I won’t take steps towards it… I trust grandpa, he will only do good for me…”

She replied.

Jackson shook his head. She was trying to sound confident but it was crystal clear that she is dying from inside. He can see the dark circles around her eyes, Now a days she doesn’t eat like she used to.

“I am sorry but I can’t let that happen… I hid your every secret till now. About Vlad, about agreement, about divorce and many more things because I thought i can protect you like my own daughter…”

He said sadly.

“I love you Rosetta, I love you like my own daughter… I never felt like making family because you are my child… Trust me, after seeing you for the first time, after holding your little hands and while playing with you I experienced fatherhood and those are best memories of my life… I stood by you everytime but not this… I can’t let you do this stupidity… You love Skyler and he loves you, don’t ruin your life… I need to tell Rose about this.”

“There is nothing to ruin anymore… I have no hopes from that man…”

Rosetta sighed.

“Mom loves him like her son, don’t tell her. She will be sad…. I don’t want that man to hurt my mother… He has done enough damage… I can only request you”

Jackson sighed defeated. They both went silent when they heard knock on the door and Isabella entered. She was wearing blue gown.

Rosetta looked at her mother’s twin sister. Isabella is Rose’s twin sister, exact replica of Rose but still they have difference of sky and earth. Rose is brave, strong, confident and still have kindness in her while Isabella is timid, introvert, not so smart and definitely not on good terms with people around her.

“Hii, Rosetta… Jackson.”

She greeted with small hesitated smile.

“Hello…”

Rosetta greeted dryly. She doesn’t like her aunt but she tries to respect her because Rose doesn’t like it when they talk bad about Isabella. Rosetta still don’t understand that why her mother is so forgiving, how can she easily forgive people for their mistakes. Isabella has done lot of things which has caused pain to Rose.

Jackson just nodded at her and looked away with awkward face.

Rosetta looked at him carefully, she often think how he must be feeling around Isabella. If Isabella keep her mouth shut then no one can tell the difference between Rose and her. And Everyone knows that Jackson was in love with Rose then how can he behave normally around the woman who looks exactly like his first love.

“I am sorry if I disturbed you, I went to meet dad and was passing by so I decided to meet you guys…”

She said with awkward smile. She knows that her mistakes has left deep scars on people’s hearts.

“It’s fine…”

Rosetta replied.

Isabella smiled at her and looked at Jackson.

“Jackson are you free?”

She hesitated.

“No”

He replied looking away from her but his voice wasn’t rude. He sounded embarrassed.

“Ohh!… I was thinking, may be we could go out for a coffee…”

Her face turned red with embarrassment.

“I am sorry, I should leave now…”

“You wait”

Rosetta said while standing up.

“I am leaving anyway… You two sort out whatever you have fucked up.”

Jackson frowned at her.

“What did you do to feel guilty like this?”

Rosetta Smirked at him and walked away giving them some privacy.

Rosetta walked out in the parking lot but she forgot to take her jacket so she turn back and walked towards her office.

She opened the door but stopped when she saw Isabella hugging Jackson. It looked like Jackson wasn’t responding to her hug.

“Why you can’t love me back, Jackson?…”

Isabella sobbed.

“You said you don’t love Arabella (Rose) anymore, then why?”

Jackson was still silent.

“I don’t mind if you love me while thinking I am her… I just need your love… I thought you love me when you kissed me the other day…”

Jackson gently removed her hands from his body and stepped back.

“I wasn’t in my senses… I shouldn’t have kissed you… Isabella I respect you because I know whatever you did wasn’t your mistake. You were manipulated. But loving you just because you look like the girl I once loved is not something I should be doing… It’s wrong… You are not Rose and you shouldn’t disrespect yourself like that..”

“When you kissed me… Who was in your mind… Me or Rose?”

She asked.

Jackson looked away promptly.

“You… It was you. Rose is happily married and I can’t imagine things about her… I can’t disrespect our friendship for my one sided love…”

Rosetta carefully closed the door and walked away leaving them alone. She was tired of hearing about love. It was irritating her.

She went back to the penthouse which she has purchased few years ago for herself. Now she got to use it.

She took her car and drove towards the restaurant where she was going to meet her so called soon to be husband. She wasn’t excited at all, it was only for her grandpa.

She parked the car and walked inside. Waiter led her towards the table where that man was already waiting for her.

She said and he looked up from his phone.

When his eyes landed on her she got the deja vu, his eyes looked familiar.
