Chapter 1600
The living room was quiet, filled with a heavy air.
Tyrone sat in the armchair, his head bowed, his emotions hidden behind his lashes, leaving his thoughts a mystery.
Ever since Kira revealed Jennie's true identity, Tyrone suspected Jennie was his biological daughter. He pursued a paternity test to confirm his gut feeling.
Breaking the silence, Kira turned to Jennie with a warm smile. "Jennie, you're not an orphan. You have parents. Does that make you happy?"
Jennie, sitting next to Wanda, glanced timidly at Kira and Keilani, then at Tyrone, her mind a whirlwind of confusion.
This morning, after Sabrina had dropped Jennie at kindergarten, Tyrone called, saying someone would take Jennie to the hospital for some blood tests. Later, Jennie was brought to Wanda's house where a lady claimed to be her biological mother and her grandmother affirmed she was Tyrone's child.
Though Jennie had wished Tyrone to be her dad, the idea of Keilani as her biological mother didn't sit right with her.
A few moments later, Tyrone looked up and waved his hand. "Jennie, over here."
Jennie, looking puzzled, cautiously approached Tyrone.
Tyrone gently seated Jennie on his lap and softly inquired, "Are you scared?"

Tyrone had hoped to keep this from Jennie for a while longer, but Kira was adamant about Jennie being here, claiming it was important for Jennie to hear the revelation of her biological parents.
Even if Tyrone managed to avoid the issue now, Kira would find a way to inform Jennie, possibly even visiting Jennie at kindergarten to reveal everything.
Jennie glanced at Keilani, then quickly hid her face in Tyrone's embrace, giving a small nod.
Keilani was taken aback. "I regret not being there for Jennie all these years. That's why I want to take her with me, to take proper care of her."
At Keilani's words, Jennie clutched Tyrone's shirt, terrified. She couldn't bear the thought of leaving Tyrone and Sabrina, and the idea of leaving with Keilani was unthinkable.
"Absolutely not!" Tyrone's response was resolute as he comforted Jennie with a gentle pat. Turning to Keilani, he declared, "Jennie is my daughter. I won't allow you to take her."Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
"But she's my daughter too! I have her legal custody!" Keilani countered. "I carried her for ten months before giving birth to her. Do you think you can just take her because Sabrina can't have children? Do you think that means Jennie shouldn't recognize me as her mother?"
Tyrone was about to speak when Kira suddenly cut in, "Tyrone, did you ever consider what Sabrina might think about keeping Jennie here? If she finds out Jennie is your daughter, would she stay by your side? Will she be able to treat Jennie the same as before?"
Jennie looked visibly upset, biting her lip in distress. Just a few days back, her classmate Gary had shared that he had a half-sister, born from his father's affair. Neither he nor his mother were fond of his half-sister.
Jennie couldn't help but wonder, being the daughter of Tyrone and another woman, would Sabrina still like her? What if Sabrina despised her?
Tyrone was stunned, feeling a deep ache. He couldn't bring himself to imagine Sabrina's reaction.
He vividly remembered the sorrow he felt upon discovering Sabrina had given birth while abroad, a situation he felt powerless to change. Yet, his love for her allowed him to swallow his pride and accept the circumstances.
