Serenity and Zachary York

Chapter 3021

Chapter 3021

“Thank you, Mrs. House.” Camryn said. Ginny told Rosella, “Your daughter-in-law has a lovely voice. Listening to her soothes me.”

“You and your sisters-in-law must be happy to have daughters-in-law already. Meanwhile, | don’t even have a daughter- or son- in-law.”

Ginny looked toward her daughter and two sons when she spoke.

Her younger son was only in his early twenties, so he could be excused. However, her elder son and daughter were already of marriageable age, yet they had not gotten married yet.

Ginny's daughter, Tasha, was one of Elisa’s best friends.

Ginny was an expert in socializing. She did not only get along with Audrey Stone, but she was also close to the York missuses and had never offended any party.

Tasha used to be in a relationship while hiding her identity. In the end, her boyfriend left her for another woman for the money. Little did he know, Tasha, whom he had abandoned, was his golden ticket to becoming rich. After the breakup, Elisa often hung out with Tasha.

Serenity and Jasmine also got to know Tasha through Elisa. However, they were not as close because they did not meet frequently.

Elisa was one of the guests of the House family’s banquet. However, she was absent because she went to FC Manor with Remy. Tasha, who had gotten over the breakup, smiled resignedly at Camryn.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

On the other hand, Ginny’s eldest, Ken, looked unaffected. He maintained his composure and simply ignored his mother’s words.

“Let's continue the conversation inside. Please accompany Camryn, Tasha.”

Ginny invited the ladies into the house and instructed her daughter to stay with Camryn. The House brothers were already ahead. They started greeting other guests alongside their father.

Tasha and Camryn walked together slowly.

Tasha heard that Camryn’s sight had recovered partially and that she could only see near objects. Distant objects still looked blurry to her, as if she was short-sighted.

“I can walk, Ms. House.”

Camryn knew why Tasha was walking so slowly. She said, “I’m able to see things clearly within a few yards.”

“Can you not see anything beyond that?”

“It's blurry, but it's been getting better. Dr. Carden says I’m still recovering. I'll be able to regain my full sight in the future.” Camryn was still on medication.

After the medication for her eyes finished, she would start taking medicine to nourish her body. That way, she would be able to have a baby with Callum.

Camryn never thought she would be able to become a mother. Paige’s cruelty and cold-heartedness had made her reject the thought of getting married and giving birth. Nevertheless, her opinions changed after getting to know Callum and falling in love with him.

She wanted a child, as a crystallization of her and Callum's love.

Camryn swore that she would be a qualified mother and not follow Paige’s footsteps. “That’s great. Your eyes are really beautiful.” Camryn smiled. “Your eyes are pretty too, Ms. House. Your hair is gorgeous.”

“You're so gentle, Camryn.” Camryn returned a grin. “Other people are saying that I’m putting on an act and hiding an evil heart behind my innocent face.”

“Don't listen to their nonsense. They’re just jealous that you’ve married into the York family and can’t stand seeing you do well.”

“| don’t care what other people say.” Camryn chuckled and added, “Never did.”
