Chapter Thirty One

What a cunning man he was, he knew she would try to call someone so he took her phone. Clutching

her hair, she sits down, tears pouring from her eyes. Hearing small footsteps near her, she looks up to

"What's wrong my baby?" She hastily wipes her tears and takes him in her lap.

"Why do you always hide everything aunt? I know you were crying, and your tears wiped the makeup

you put on." Mujtaba softly tells her, wiping her tears.

Mushk silently cries hearing his words, hearing his tiny gasp she looks at him, who was looking at her

wide eyed, more like looking at her bruise.

"He hit you?" Mujtaba whispers softly, caressing her cheek making her wince.

"No, I fell down." Her tone held finality so he didn't question back, but he knew his aunt was lying,

hatred was brewing in his heart for Zohan.

It was midnight when Zohan entered the house, his footsteps wobbly, reeking of Alcohol and an overly

sweet perfume.

Taking careful steps ,he reaches his room to see Mushk sleeping alone. He smiles seeing his wife, but

soon that smile changes into a scowl once he hears the voices again, muttering how she is going to

leave him once her brother wakes up.

Shutting the door loudly he moves towards her, his posture unsteady. Mushk gets startled hearing the

loud voice and immediately gets up from the bed to see Zohan's shaky form coming towards her.

Thinking he might be sleepy, she moves forward to help him, but stops when a strong smell hits her,

her eyes widen in disbelief.

She stumbles back as if life physically pushed her back, tears well up in her eyes seeing the man

smiling like a maniac in front of her. She smelled the betrayal of him, soon the pain was replaced by

anger, Immense anger. She strides towards him, clutching his collar and shaking him.

"Where were you? Where did you come from Zohan? Tell me!" Mushk angrily screams at him shaking

his form.

I think I asked you something, for god sake Zohan! Answer me!" Mushk screeches in agony in front of

the man who was still drunk.

"Why do you care?" Zohan irritatingly tells her, pushing her hand away making her stagger.

“What do you mean by that? Are you out of your mind? I'm your wife" Mushk yells at him, making him

angry in her loud voice.

"Then what shall I do huh? You always stay 10 metre away from me! When my wife doesn’t allow me to

come near her then what shall I do?" Zohan easily blames her for the infidelity he committed, making

her shock.

“What the fuck is wrong with you? you never came near me once and you're blaming me for the sin you

just committed?" Mushk was horrified at his words.

"Oh really!? So this means you're ready to fulfill my desires huh?" Zohan teases her, still standing on

his wobbly legs.
