Chapter Forty

"Now are you handing him to me or shall I call the cops?" Irtaza asks him, going near who steps back,

clearly afraid of his large frame.

"Stay back or it won't be nice I'm telling you., Zohan tries to sound confident but his voice comes out as

a whisper.

"Give him to me Zohan, and I promise to leave you alone." Irtaza softly tells him, now standing in front

of him.

Zohan looks here and there and sees the main door of his home open and then looks back again at

Irtaza who was as always ,wearing a blank expression.

Literally throwing Murtuza in his arms, he dashes towards the door, Irtaza takes hold of a crying

Murtuza who is now hiccuping, he turns towards Mushk, literally throwing Murtuza in his arms he

dashes towards the door.

Irtaza takes hold of a crying Murtuza who was now hiccuping he turns towards Mushk, still not meeting

her eyes he hands him to her.

And it all took one look at Mushk, he runs behind Zohan, inside. It was as if something snapped inside

him seeing Mushk's condition she was all skin and bones her eyes held so much pain that he wanted

to break each and every bone in Zohans body. But that&s not what triggered his anger, bruises.

Bruises on her face, neck and arms created havoc inside him and he couldn't resist running behind that

bastard who was responsible for it.

Mushk tried to stop, but it was like he vanished into thin air, saying a quick thankful to the Allah, she

looked at Murtuza,who was still quietly weeping looking at his aunt.

Mushk couldn't control herself and broke out in tears, seeing Murtuza so afraid that he wasn't even

crying out loud.

"It's okay my baby.. Shush!" Mushk tries to calm Murtuza while Soniya comes near her with Mujtaba

and hugs her.

All of a sudden there was loud noise and policemen break in from the main gate.

Mushk's relief knew no bounds, she was scared for Irtaza but the police was here and she wanted to

go in after him, But couldn't leave her nephews alone.

The police men rush in, holding a now beaten up Zohan who was still struggling in their grip. Her eyes

were worriedly roaming here and there, trying to find that one man who saved her.

And soon Irtaza comes out, with a few bruises here and there, nothing he couldn't handle. Mushk gets

closer to him and is about to say something when he stops her.

"Not here, let's get home first." He curtly tells her, who nods at him.

One word! Home. She was relieved that she was finally going home. Who knew Zohan's successful

plans would backfire like this.

Mushk comes out of her trance hearing Zohan's screams.

"I swear Mushk, THIS ISN'T OVER." And something in his voice told Mushk, that indeed this wasn't

over, yet!

Irtaza's eyes soften seeing her scared eyes, he felt very bad that he couldn't save her before, she

wasn't like this.
