Chapter 366.1 Letter of Understanding I

Eleanor’s expression remained unchanged, pretending to be kind. “Girls, our only intention here is to rescue Murphy. We don’t want to hurt your friend. You have to feel for others. No one wants to see their children in jail. We only did that because we were desperate. A bad compromise is better than a good lawsuit. I hope you can think about it thoroughly.”

“You surely know how to talk nice!” Charlie rolled her eyes. “But after all, all you want is for us to forgive your son, right?”

“If Ms. Franco wants to scold me, just do it freely,” Eleanor said calmly, “After scolding, I hope Ms. Franco can calm down and think about it seriously. Which is more important, your dignity or your friend?”

Seeing Eleanor’s calm and relaxed look, Charlie was also discouraged, deflating immediately like a balloon.

She looked at Imogen. Although Eleanor said so, they only had one choice.

Imogen smiled mockingly, “Aren’t you sure we will compromise by doing this? What do we still need to think about?”

Eleanor smiled and took out paper and pen from her bag. “There is no other way. You two girls are loyal to your friend and aware of current affairs. I would be willing to be friends with you if it were me. Write the letter now. After you finish writing the letter of understanding, we will let your

friend go.”

Imogen took a look at the notebook before her, raised her head, and asked, “Do the conditions you offered earlier still count?”

Now that they had decided to compromise, why not get a little more benefit so as not to get nothing after being upset?

Jacob smiled sarcastically, “Of course, they count. Don’t worry, Ms. Forbes.”

Imogen lowered her eyes, opened the notebook, found a random page, and wrote “Letter of Understanding” on it with the pen.

At this moment, there was a sudden sound outside the door.

The four turned to look at the door.

The door clicked as a crack was opened from the outside.

Imogen and Charlie looked at each other in astonishment.

They thought, “Who was it? How could he have the key to their apartment?”

Under everyone’s gaze, Troy’s tall and strong figure appeared behind the door.

He was wearing a well–tailored navy blue suit. He stood there with a calm expression and almost no emotion.

Troy’s sight passed over Imogen’s face as he strode in. He looked at Jacob and Eleanor, smiling. “Mr. Dodd, Mrs. Dodd.”

Jacob hid the surprise on his face, stood up, and stretched out his right hand. “Mr. Marshall, I have heard about you for a long time. Now that we have met today, you are really a young and talented man.”

Troy shook his hand and smiled lightly, “Thank you.”

He lowered his eyes, looking at the notebook lying flat on the table. The words [Letter of

Understanding] were already written.

If he had come a little later, the letter of understanding would have been finished.

Troy bent down slightly to pick up the notebook on the table with his slender fingers. He then glanced at Imogen, asking in a condemning tone, “Is this what you meant that you don’t need my help?”

Imogen flushed, clasped her hands together, and lowered her head, pressing her lips.

She never thought that the Dodd family would be so shameless to kidnap Alex as a threat.

Jacob’s face turned sullen when he heard what Troy said, and his tone was solemn, “Mr. Marshall, what do you mean?”

Troy glanced at Jacob and Eleanor with an indifferent expression. He calmly tore off the page, balled it tightly in his fist casually, and threw it into the trash can.

Jacob and Eleanor’s expressions changed as they looked at him in shock.

Imogen also stood up quickly, grabbing his hand and saying with a low voice, “What are you doing? Alex is still in their hands.” Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
