He brings me trouble

A hand was holding mine, I opened my eyes slowly and spotted the maid from yesterday. It seems that

she slept from fatigue due to looking after me.

Looking after me? She was taking care of me. It is my first time being taken care of. This thought kept

repeating itself in my mind again and again. I didn't want to wake her up by pulling my hand so I just

admired her facial features as I waited for her to wake up. After a while, she woke up and yelled when

she spotted my eyes wide open.

" Why did you shout?" I asked placing my hands on my ears from the sound.

" I am sorry... I was shocked, I am really sorry," she begged.

" Hey. Hey... No worries, I am not mad, I wanted to thank you for what you did."

" No need, I am just a mere maid, it’s my job." She replied.

I caressed her face and kissed her forehead. She flinched from my reaction but I could see a smile

being drawn on her smooth lips.

heroine of your own story, so repeat after me."

She nodded in agreement.

" I am..." I stopped midway as I recalled that I don’t know her name.

" Jessica."

" I am Jessica and I am the coolest person on earth, I shall look forward to my future and anticipate a

good ending as I try to achieve my goal throughout my life," I instructed.

She repeated after me and I was happy that I make her smile.

" Thank you, Mrs...."

" Call me Lily." I cut her off ordering which made her blush.

" Rest here until I come back from the bathroom. You need to get some more sleep before you get to

work."

I got up and headed to the bathroom, after passing my room's door, I located Shawn who was leaning

on the wall next to my door crossing his arms.

" You are giving her false hope, don't make it any harder for her." he started.

" You are aware she can hear you from here, right?" I replied pointing out to my room.

" That's the point; kindness is a double-edged sword... make sure you don't use it in the wrong way."

He added walking away.

He has a point but isn't he overreacting over such a small thing?

I suddenly remembered the kiss he gave me before I lose consciousness yesterday. My cheeks got red

and I rushed to the bathroom, I washed my face and my mind went blank for a moment. My first kiss

was taken away by a douchebag who thinks he is the center of the whole world. That is something that

I should not have let happen, damn.

I went back to my room, wore tight jeans and a loose sweatshirt then went downstairs for breakfast.

" They said that you were sick yesterday," Gerald stated.

" Make sure to take your medicine."

" Sure."

" Can I meet my friends today?" I asked shyly.

" The bodyguards will accompany you." He stated back cleaning his mouth with a handkerchief.

" Thanks."

I finished my toast and drank my coffee in the car on the way to college. I couldn't meet my friends

yesterday, I have to meet them today... I sent them a message and we agreed on our meeting location.

I reached college and the stares were increasing with every passing day, it is not likely for an 18 years

old girl to be accompanied by bodyguards on her way to university. I soon joined Alicia and Penny in

our first class.

" Hey, the whole university is talking about you," they commented.

" Why?"

" You have talked back to the prime minister's daughter; she was so mad that she mumbled to herself

the rest of the day yesterday," Alicia commented.

" C'mon, we have been friends for 24 hours now, can't you tell us whose daughter are you?" Penny

begged.

I didn't have a problem with my status, I totally accept it... I just couldn't tell them about it to not attract

unnecessary questions that I don't know how would I respond to.

" It is a secret." I giggled.

They rolled their eyes at me leaving me to walk alone to our class. I spotted Molly running after Shawn

in the corridor; I passed by them ignoring their presence. I didn't know that he will be attending the

same class as me.

It was a Pharmaceutical legislation class and no one paid attention to it. I can swear I saw Shawn

smirking at me just now, what is he planning. He threw a piece of paper my way.

' What is your favorite movie'

I did not reply and he threw another one.

‘Treat me to lunch.'

This is getting stupid, what does he want? I realized his lousy plan just when I asked myself this

question since I noticed Molly glaring at me, she literally stabbed me with daggers just with her eyes.

This is getting scary, I laughed.

I was thrown another paper but this time Molly was the sender.

‘Meet me after college in the cheerleader's room.'

I was totally not going to meet with her, Shawn is trying to give me a hard time and I am not falling for

his trap. After college, I was exiting our department's building when suddenly I got pulled from the

sweatshirt by a bunch of dudes. It looked as if they were from the football team; I guess they are since

their bodies were so muscular and tall.

They took me to the building's backyard in where Molly was waiting.

" I knew you wouldn't have come on your own so I made some preparations." She commented proudly

as if she was the smartest ass on earth.

" Smartass." I retorted.

" I will teach you to sew that mouth of yours, you fuckin pig." Molly spat out and the three guys

surrounded me from all directions getting ready to give me a beating, I guess.
