I had to make some necessary preparations to guarantee my friends’ safety. I asked Jessy to leave a

document that contains all the details of my state in a certain spot that does not have any CCTVs.

Tony’s clients would use the same way to deliver him the case they wanted him to work on keeping

their identity a secret and eliminating any trail of the process.

I instructed Tony to tell Diana, John, Jack, and dad about this in private when the right time comes, he

I stressed most the fact that I do not want his interference in my business, Tony does not like trouble

vacation so I did not know what to wear, I grabbed the simplest outfit in front of me which was a yellow

I looked cute in it, I raised my hair in a bun and asked the driver to take me there, I told him that I have

some work to discuss with the CEO, Gerald would know about this for sure so I wanted to make it easy

Shawn’s POV:

After Lily left the room that way, I got a call in the morning from my underling who informed me that he

has linked Gerald to the will’s disappearance. Indigo’s lawyer could not find the will no matter how hard

he searched for it. As soon as Lily agreed to marry me, the will suddenly show up on his desk.

We were wondering where it was but it seems that Gerald was the one who hid it. He also searched for

Lily’s dad first and invited him to the club he gambled in which means that Gerald did not want to

secure Lily’s safety as he said.

He was just taking her hostage and he must have threatened her to marry me. Fuck… I keep getting

agitated whenever I think about that. She did not marry me on her own accord that is why she was

acting gloomy on our wedding day.

Most probably, he threatened her with her friends; she has nothing else to worry about besides that. I

was trying to exclude myself from his business as much as I could since I know that he had his corrupt

ways, I did not want to take part in his corruption.

But now that it came to this, I will have to take over my dad’s business and force him to quit. If

necessary, I will be forced to even lock him up. I know dad, talking this out with him will not get us

anywhere; he is totally convinced that he is doing the right thing when he obviously is not.

As a start I am the best one who can take my father down, I have access to a lot of secret documents

that will cause the prosecution to investigate him. His connections are scarier than anything that ever

existed though. The judicial department and even the majority of the prosecutors do not dare to defy

him.

Unless I take over his place soon and show them that this era is mine, I will not be able to surpass his

connections nor get him imprisoned. I decided to give it a chance and talk to dad about assigning me

his whole business even though I knew he would not agree yet.

As expected, he declined my offer mentioning that my mindset is totally different from his, he said I

won’t be able to lead his business in the most correct way unless he teaches me himself.

I did not want to play it dirty and fake an act to trick him; he is my dad after all. I concluded that I just

could push him to a corner. I had a plan in mind and I think I will need Siergo’s help to achieve it.

I noticed that Lily has stepped out of her room, I called her driver to ask him where she was going and

he said that she was meeting with Mr. Siergo to talk about business matters. I can tell what this is

about; Lily is not a stupid girl who can be forced to do a certain thing her whole life.

She must be scheming for something; Siergo must have offered to help her. I can see the whole picture

now, that is why they have met before. I think I am ready now to join hands with Siergo and work

together for real.

I wore my clothes and headed to their meeting location, I need to talk with him as soon as possible. In

addition, I do not like when my girl meets alone with Siergo like this, I do not trust him.
