“Hmm and who am I dating??” Alexander asked feeling rather confused.

Amelia just scoffed at him “wanna deny it?? Then suite yourself, just turn around so I can wear my shirt”

Alexander didn’t think about it and turned around for her to wear her shirt.

After she was done, she recounted all that happened at her father’s house.

“You’re such a big fish yunno” Amelia grinned at Alexander whose face were covered in a mist of anger.

So Amelia got hurt because of him?? He ruffled his hair a bit before crunching down close to Amelia.

“I’m sorry you had to pass through those pains because of me,” He said sincerely not even aware that his voice had turned hoarse.

Amelia just laughed it off “C’mon it’s not you okay?? Marion and Jolie are always so scheming and full of ideas” Amelia said as she prepared to get up but she winced a bit.

“Be careful Amy” Alexander said not even knowing that he had he had dropped some formalities.

“It’s no big deal, I have to go take some rest now, we have to go to the office tomorrow,” Amelia said and Alexander nodded in response.

Alexander watched as Amelia walked out of his room slowly, he was gritting his teeth in hatred towards that girl called Jolie.

Soon he took out his phone and called Resolver “Where are you?? Help me deal with something”

After instructing Resolver on what to do, Alexander ended the call and went to take a bath.

Meanwhile, Amelia also went to shower and after coming out of the bathroom, her face were all red, she had difficulty in bathing because she didn’t want water to soak the bandage so she ended up wiping herself clean with a towel.

After dressing up, she relaxed on the bed, and soon, her phone rang and saw that George was calling, she raised a brow and answered the incoming call.

“Hello”

“Hey sister-in-law, sorry for disturbing you,” George said from the other side

“No, no, not at all, thank you for your help earlier ” Amelia thanked him for coming to her rescue at the office earlier, he was the first person to help her as Alexander went to meet his girlfriend.

“Ah I must defend my sister in law, I wanted to ask, I just got information that you’ll start working in Ron’s headquarters from tomorrow,” George said

“Umm yeah, that’s true”

“No wonder…” George trailed off as if thinking

“What’s no wonder??” Amelia asked feeling confused.

“Alexander sure is something else, he drove his assistant to the entertainment center so you could be with him 24/7, and that’s so sweet,” George said with a cheeky smile.

Amelia was startled at that “No that’s not it, he said his assistant was assigned to go check something out in the subsidiary company”

“That’s bullshit, I don’t know why but he suddenly told his assistant to go work at the entertainment center and he shut down the assistant’s office close to his and I heard…. you’ll be sharing the same office with him, right???!!” George said with a sly grin

Amelia immediately fixed the puzzles, alexander had told her that it was an early decision for her to come to the office and that she had to share the same office with him, she didn’t think of the past assistant.

Which office had the former assistant occupied before getting transferred??

He must have his or her own office, alexander can’t just say that he also shared the same office with the assistant. That’s too ridiculous.

Why did he lie to her??

” Why would be lie to me about it??” Amelia asked instead after knowing the truth.

“Simple… he’s scared of you meeting any mishaps, even if you were to stay in the assistant’s office, his mind wouldn’t be at ease, yunno about this knight’s issue, so he’s being cautious,” George said

“So he wants you to be in his line of sight to be able to rest well” George added.

“Ooh…” Amelia was confused though, he had done so much for her but he wouldn’t say, but why was he so kind all of a sudden??

“Okay that is it, welcome in advance sister-in-law,” George said and directly ended the call before She could tell him not to call her sister-in-law again.

Amelia sighed as she was confused, he had gone to so much length to protect her.

But she didn’t think much about it again after a while and slept off, it was almost evening time.

Meanwhile, in Alexander’s bedroom, he sat there operating on his system, so immersed in his work when his phone rang.

Alexander frowned a bit before taking the call and placed it close to his ear.

“Say” Alex just spitted out as his eyes didn’t leave the screen of his laptop.

Ash bit her lip a bit, her greatest wish was for Alexander to slowly warm up to her even if it was a little.

“I just wanted to let you know that I’ll be resuming office tomorrow. I’m so bored in the hotel and again. if you have any place in mind that’s for sale, please buy for me, I can’t continue staying in the hotel” Ash said

Alexander raised a brow “thought you said you wanted to relax a bit”

Ash smiled a bit, at least he still cared to remember that “Oh yeah, that was the initial plan but you know I’m not the type to be lazy around, doing nothing, I want to work” Ash said as a matter of fact

Alexander agreed with that “I know, you’re really diligent in your work, your marriage partner will be so proud of you” Alexander said as his fingers danced on the keyboard of his laptop.

Ash immediately rejoiced in her heart that Alexander complimented her “Sure, that man will be so lucky to have me, he will be getting married to a gem so I’d just say, he comes to get me fast before I change my mind” ash said meaningfully but alexander didn’t even think too much of it as he thought it was just a simple remark.

“Yeah, the man will be lucky as not all women these days want to work for their money, but it seems like you’ve already found a man from your words”

“Yes, of course, I have a man in mind already and he’s so handsome and powerful” Ash giggled slightly and Alexander just shrugged

“Congratulations to you, when it’s time, send me an invitation card to your wedding,” Alexander said, he had always wanted the best for Ash as she was his friend right from college days.

“You won’t be needing it by then,” Ash said again and thought: Cause you will be the groom.

As if remembering something, Alexander stopped typing on the laptop and said:

“Mhm, and that… I forgot to tell you, my bad.. I just got married a few weeks ago”
