But Chester didn’t loosen his grip. He looked away in fluster and fear to meet her eyes. “Let me give you a lift.”

Then, he let go of her wrist and locked the car door as he started the engine.

He seemed to be doing every move with the facility, but only he himself knew how still his body was.

Nova didn’t know his nervousness. She just said softly, “Will you picking me up become the top hit on the Twitter?”

“No,” Chester answered without thinking.

Nova looked at him in surprise, but she didn’t say anything.

Chester heaved a sigh. “Alright then. See you later.”

She got off the car and went directly into her office.

Leonard and the others remained silent when they saw Nova pulling a long face.

Eudora blinked and said incredulously, “Is it because of what happened yesterday? That she pulls a long face?”

“No one would be happy after Old Mr. King said such things to her.” Leonard cast Eudora a glance. “Hurry, get to work before the boss gets so angry and fires you.”

Leonard was amused. “I am petty? You know what my name Leonard means? It is Lion. Always be regal and strong as a lion.”

“I think you are always finishing your work before the deadline.”

As they were talking and laughing, Nova entered her office. Stella had been there for a while. As she turned around and saw Nova, she felt that Nova was not her usual self.
