Chapter 709 Strange People

Chapter 709 Strange People

Before Nancy left, she comforted Natalia.

“Natalia, don’t think too much about it. It could just be a coincidence. No matter what happened in the

several days, you’re living a very good life now. Even if there is something wrong, your life won’t be

affected.”

Natalia nodded, then gave her a smile.

“I know. You should go to bed now.”

“Good night.”

Nancy walked away then.

When Nancy was gone, Natalia lay on the big bed alone. Staring at the endless darkness of the night,

she couldn't forget the intermittent pictures that flashed in her mind.

She remembered how she was when she was sober after being rescued by Felix a long time ago.

At that time, she was actually very curious about her lost memories. She wanted to figure out what had

happened.

But she was too weak back then. And she didn’t have the ability to conduct an investigation.

She was occupied by training every day. She barely had her own time.

After coming home, she did her best to manage the company well for Shawn.

When the business started to make some money, she was hurt in their relationship.

Throughout these years, she was too busy to think about her own business.

Natalia closed her eyes.

She had been tossing and turning, and couldn’t sleep until late at night.

She had a dream again that night.

It was the same dream she used to have a long time ago.

In the dream, she was falling to the bottom of the sea.

Till a strong hand supported her.

She turned around and saw a familiar and handsome face. Even in the dim water, he still looked so

dazzling.

She desperately shook her head, telling him to let her go.

But he didn’t let go. With a determined look on his face, he never let go.

Tears began to well up in her eyes. She couldn’t tell if they were tears or seawater drops on her face

anymore.

At last, a big wave washed over her, trying to tear her whole body apart.

And the hand kept supporting her on the waist, finally, let go and she was pulled deep into the ocean by

the waves.

“AHHH!”

Natalia exclaimed and sat up on the bed.

It was already the next day.

But she actually didn’t have much sleep. She just woke up from a scary nightmare.

Natalia blinked and wiped off the cold sweat on her forehead. She removed the blanket and went out to

pour herself a glass of water.

Back in her room, she found it was 7 am.

Because their flight would take off at 10, she told Nancy she would get up at 7:30.

It was about time for her to roll out of bed.

So Natalia didn’t go back to sleep. Instead, she changed her clothes and walked outside.

Nancy was already up. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

Once Natalia showed up, Nancy greeted her with a smile.

“Morning! How’s your sleep last night? Are you alright now?”

Natalia understood Nancy was asking about her sudden collapse yesterday. “I’m fine,” she replied.

After that, she gave a glance at her watch.

“I think we should get ready and grab some breakfast now before we leave.”

“Sure.“

They had breakfast in a dining hall downstairs. Then they boarded the plane back home.

Because they needed to fly for seven hours, both of them brought stuff for rest.

Natalia didn’t sleep well last night, so she planned to catch up some sleep during the flight.

She put on her blindfold, closed her eyes, and sat back to relax.

The cabin was very quiet. People occasionally talked in a low voice, which wasn’t noisy, but comforting.

Before boarding the plane, she sent a text message to Archie, telling him the departure and arrival time

of her flight.

Archie would certainly come to pick her up at the airport. Both Anne and Oliver were overjoyed to know

that their mother was coming back home today.

Leaning against the back of her seat, she smiled in peace.

During the flight, she slept for two hours. When she woke up again, she found that the plane was still

above the stratosphere. She opened the curtain and looked outside the window. White clouds were all

she could see.

Nancy was sitting next to her, resting with her eyes closed.

Perhaps because Nancy felt she was awake, Nancy opened her eyes and said, “There are four more

hours. Go back to sleep.”

Natalia shook her head. “It’s OK. I’ve had enough sleep.”

Nancy then sat up to chat with her.

A stewardess came to hand out some food for lunch, but Natalia didn't eat anything.

Nancy had hers and said, "I saw two men walking to the back just now. One of them walked with a

slight limp. They look a little strange."

Natalia was struck dumb for a second, then asked in confusion, “A disabled man? Why is that

strange?”

With a frown, Nancy thought for a while, then shook her head.

“I don’t know. Just my instinct. But they already walked away. It has nothing to do with us anyway, so I

didn’t pay much attention.”

After a while of silence, Natalia said, “Well, if there really is something wrong with him, I think we

should inform the flight crew for the sake of safety.”

Nancy gave a nod. “I’ll go to tell them now,” she said, with a glance at the flight attendants at the end of

the cabin.

“Great.”

Natalia did that for a reason.

Nancy was a trained security guard. She had piercing eyes and never missed any possible danger.

Since she thought they were weird, something might actually be wrong.

Although she wasn’t sure of it yet, it wasn’t a bad thing to let the flight crew know.

Natalia stopped further thinking about it after she told Nancy to report to the crew.

They had gone through strict security checks before boarding. So normally everything should be OK.

She closed her eyes and continued to rest. But at this moment, the plane suddenly bumped.

Natalia became alert in an instant.

There were many people around who also noticed the little bump. They all opened their eyes and

looked around in surprise.

Natalia frowned slightly. She remembered that when she went out this morning, she had watched the

weather forecast and the conditions of this section of the route. It was supposed to be a very smooth

flight without any bumps.

But what just happened?

At this moment, Nancy went to the back to tell the flight crew about the two strange men, so she was

not in her seat next to Natalia’s.

Sitting alone, Natalia suddenly panicked for no reason.

She was a calm woman who had gone through many ups and downs in her life.

“Invulnerable” might be too strong of a word to describe her, but she wouldn’t be surprised or scared

easily.
