Start With An Unexpected Affair

The next morning Alex came back after leaving to prepare few things at the company and also get things that he might need.

He enter the sitting room and notice he’s no longer on the sofa where he was laying yester-night

Maybe he feel sore from sleeping in such tiny space and decided to move to the bedroom instead

He place the things he got on the table and go in to check on him.

The duvet was pulled over his head and his whole body was covered with the thick clothing

Alex hurry over to the bed side and pull the duvet down from his face

He widen his eyes seeing the worsen condition he is in and quickly pull the cloth away from his body and yell his name

“Kyler! Are you trying to kill yourself?” He scold angrily.

He rush to get a thermometer and check how high is fever is

“You need to get to the hospital Kyler” he told him and try getting him off the bed

But he refuse to get off the bed and that got Alex feeling more frustrated

“You want to kill yourself over a woman who’s probably getting fucked right now?” He said out of anger

“Shut up” Kyler manage to say with the little strength left in him but his but his voice is barely a whisper

Alex glare at him not knowing what to do without upsetting him

“I’ll get a doctor to come over” he said and walk out ignoring his murmuring not to

She got herself discharged as soon as the sub came up and go back home with Talia by her side

Even as she eat the food Talia had forced her to, Yasmin still keep her eyes focused on her phone trying to get through to him

Since last night when he saw her in the bathroom, his gaze remains in her memory and it feels like it’s haunting her

“Do you want to tell me what happened?” Talia asked also picking at the macaroni salad

Yasmin shake her head to answer no and focus on her phone completely trying his number for the thirtieth time

“Why he was there at that time?”

“What he’s thinking of me now? Did he really believe what he saw?”

Yasmin ask herself these questions without having a good answer to them, although the last question seems pretty answered with his look last night and the fact that he’s not reachable

“Where’s your phone?” She turn to Talia anxiously

“Here”

Yasmin grab it out of her hands and quickly dial his number from it

She should have thought of this idea since yesterday, whether he’s ignoring her or it’s just his line not going through

Yasmin push the speaker button and wait to see if it will get through, as the seconds counts she get more anxious to find it out

The phone start to ring and Yasmin felt a hard blow thrown to her heart that instant, she stare at the phone and didn’t realize it has been answered

After making sure his body is no longer in danger, Alex send the doctor off and decide to make him something to eat

He force him to the table to eat the simple and warm dish while he take a call

“Where is your phone?” He asked as his call ended

“Don’t know” Kyler replied nonchalantly

He has thrown it somewhere when he realize she wasn’t going to call him.

Alex sigh and go to the sitting room to check for it, the search didn’t take too long as he found it just under the sofa

“It’s dead” he said to himself and plug it to recharge

“Mr. Wax called to pour out his disappointment on missing his party” he told him getting back to the table.

They had the meal in silence and Kyler went back to bed again locking the door this time to stop him from coming in

Alex sigh yet again and go to clean the plates, then went over to check the phone he plugged

He switch it on just in case important calls comes in and immediately the phone turn on, A call came in

Seeing the name on it Alex pick it up thinking it’s work although he has informed everybody at work not to call him

“Hello”

He waited for response but there is none, only silence and he waited for few more seconds before he say something again

“Miss. Cassidy?” He asked taking a guess and this time he got a response

Hearing her voice Alex also feel upset at the woman who has caused Kyler suffering but decide not to cut the call and listen to her

“I don’t think he want to listen to you right now, would it be okay to call him another time? He’s busy” he said and nodded with a slight sound then cut the call and leave it to charge

The phone went out of Yasmin’s hands to the floor beside her and Talia who has been watching her pick it up

“Are you okay? Who was that?” She asked checking the phone

“President Black? What did he say to you?” She asked but Yasmin just keep staring into the air with a horrified gaze that kind of scares Talia

He doesn’t want to talk to her, that’s why she has not being able to reach him since yesterday

She really wished and prayed it’s the network being funny but it’s not

“Did you see him at the office today?” She turn to ask Talia who is clueless about what’s going on

“I didn’t go to the office today” she replied with a ‘duh’ face

Right! She has been with her since yesterday and only go back home to change and come back again

“I’m tired” she told Talia and stand up to go to her room

“Are you sure you don’t want to talk?” Talia grab her hand back before she leaves

“Huh” she reply and walk inside closing the door, she fall to her bed and burst into tears.

After taking two days break from the world, Kyler decide to go back to it

Some stupid feelings or relationship would not affect his life too much that he would lose everything.

He is such fool to think she loves him like he do and he can not believe he was too stupid to realize all her tricks

Pretending to be in love with him to that extent just to get some revenge on him was something he could not believe.

Kyler make sure to shut her out of everywhere that is connected to him and out of his heart

For a week now he try to put things behind him and pretend whatever thing he had with Yasmin Cassidy never happened.

He decided to focus on work again and overwork himself giving no break in-between his schedules.

“Do you want to go home now?” Alex asked after the last meeting for the day

He has called the entire executives up and demand a meeting at past seven

“Don’t I have anything else?” He reply with a question

“No, unless you want to force something you can go home President Black” Alex told him

“What about the…”

“I’m sure the appropriate people already take care of it and my boyfriend is waiting for me in a restaurant now”

Kyler give a sigh and get up from the seat he has been on for three hours now

“You can leave I’ll drive myself home”

“Of course you are, because of you I might be breaking up with Drex again” he said and exit the room.

Kyler drive back home having no choice, it doesn’t feel better going back to an empty house

Maybe he shouldn’t have ask to divorce Veronica, but it still feels right with Yasmin being in the picture or not

Kyler walk slowly to the room and find it dark, he reach for the switch and switch it on only to find an overwhelming sight waiting for him on the bed.

Veronica pour the red roses on the bed and spray it at the edges also on the floor with a love shape

She put down a bottle of champagne beside the bed abd two glasses to help them get in the mood then put on a provocative lingerie

After making set everything, she took out the a small bottle she got from Emilia

It will be better if the both of them get drugged this time, she thought determined to get him back tonight

When the light came on, Veronica make sure to have a bright smile on her face as she look at him

“Hi” she said with a wink

She got up from the bed and pretend to just open the champagne then pouf it into the glasses then walk up to him

“A toast?”

“What are we toasting to?”

“To successfully getting that woman out of your life?” Veronica thought with a laugh inwardly

“We’re divorcing Veronica”

Veronica smile trying not to lose confident, she has been waiting for days for him to call her back but he didn’t

That makes her waver a little and she thought to do something quickly

“Can you just think of this as what you owe me? You know you owe me Kyler” she said and get close putting her hands around his neck

When she see he’s not going to bulge she pour the whole drink down her throat

“Drink” she told him and after hesitating he also take it down but loose her hand from his neck and walk to the bed.

Veronica watch him loose his tie and wait six more seconds for the drug to take it effect

If he could fall in love with that bitch just because he was drugged with this and slept with her, then he may fall in love with her again repeating the whole process

But why is she feeling this way? Is this how she’s suppose to feel? She is the one to make the first move but her whole body feels wobble
