Start With An Unexpected Affair

Kyler’s mind become more disrupt learning that Veronica really planned it out

He still couldn’t figure out her motive and decide to give a long thought.

A thought pop into his mind and he quickly shake it off his mind

There is no way Veronica would have been cheating on him even before that night.

The only reason explanation to give to his absurdity is that and as absurd as his thought sounds, Kyler feel like he is right too again

Taking a slow rethink of Everything Veronica had told him, most of it feels like bull shit now

None of it makes sense enough for her to cheat on him with his cousin.

Although these realizations came to him, he didn’t feel a slight sad, maybe because he has never believe her explanations but only acted for his own advantage.

Kyler decide to carry out an investigation about the whole thing, if Veronica had drugged him so he could sleep with Yasmin, what is the reason?

Or did it just accidentally happen to be her?

He already have a lead so he started from there and force Emilia to tell him everything she knows about what and why his wife had met with her

There he find out who introduced Emilia to the drugs and it caught Kyler quite unexpected.

The person is not an unfamiliar person, Thompson Bays.

Although Kyler had his suspicious about him and wouldn’t have worked with him if not for the good proposal his company submitted

But this finding only bring another difficult questions to his mind

If Thompson Bays has also purchased this same drug, why? Then is Yasmin aware of him getting the drugs?

Kyler feel overwhelm by the unanswered questions threatening to blow his reasoning.

Kyler sits lost in thought not seeing the person giving him the briefs or hear what is being said

He keep trying to answer the questions in his head but keep coming creating another questions leaving him really curious and upset about everything

“We can end today’s brief now”

Kyler finally let his mind return back to the meeting and notice everyone standing up to leave

He also stood up to leave but Alex’s word make him stop and turn to him

“Should I cancel all your schedules for today?”

“Why?”

“You don’t look like you can handle any work right now”

“I’m fine” he said and walk back to his office with Alex behind

“If you are that curious, all you have to do is ask”

“Are you scared of finding out the truth?”

Kyler turn to him with a glare as he take his seat, he’s really so annoying

“How is the investigation going?”

“It will take some time, I will inform you tomorrow evening”

“Do you have any plans after work?”

“Why? Do you want to ask me out on a date?”

“Yes” he reply sharply that Alex got startled by his reply and give a loud sigh after.

Conrad try to hug the two ladies standing beside him to himself and the girls giggle at his naughty touch

He has gotten another load of cash from Veronica and had decide to throw a short party

The small room is filled with alcohol, people and drugs having a blast of the time, the music makes it difficult to hear a thing.

Conrad kiss the first girl and the other grunt with jealousy and pull him to kiss her too

“Come on ladies you’ll get a share of Conrad” he said with giggle and pull the two closer having a good time.

Until someone put off the music and got everyone’s attention

Conrad look up in annoyed at whoever has stop the music and spoil the fun

He push the two girls slightly off his body and get up to see what happened

The second he sees Kyler standing hear the player, he froze on the spot and stare in surprise

“Send these people out first” he calmly tell him and he nod his head rigorously

In a minute everyone was out and he is now standing in front of him on his kneels

“Are you here to arrest me?”

Kyler look around the room in disgust and try to find a place to sit but none of the space in the room seems appealing to him

He sigh in anger and turn to glare at him

“You escape just to have party”

“Did Veronica sell me out to you?” He ask in a hurry

“You met with her even when I clearly warn you not to, this time should I send you to hell?”

He swallow hard and try not to show any fear but Kyler could clearly feel his fear.

“I have two questions for you and don’t you dare lie to me”

Conrad finally raise his head up and look at him in the eyes

“When did you start sleeping with my wife? And when last did you sleep with her?”

After dealing with Conrad and have Alex send him to an hospital, Kyler drive back home in rage

Every of Conrad’s word still keep playing in his head over and over again as he drives on high speed.

He arrive home in a flash of time and didn’t bother to park the car right but haste inside to meet her.

When he enter the house, Veronica’s smiling face meet him and the anger in him grow more

Seeing her, Kyler feel a great urge to go ahead and garb her neck to express his anger and throw her to the floor but he immediately put his hands in his pocket and take a hard breathe to cool down

“You’re back so early today again, I wish other days would be like this and you will always come…”

“What’s wrong?” She asked seeing his glare

“I met with your lover today, and he told me few things” he begin trying to be calm

“Who are you talking about?” She asked with a smile that Kyler wish to get rid of

“You started cheating on me with my cousin a week after our first anniversary, the nerve of you!”

Kyler almost cuss at her face as he move closer to her but refrain himself again

“That’s not…” She stammered trying to find an excuse

“Don’t you dare… lie to me again Veronica!” He warned

“Why?”

“Do you marry me because of my status and money?”

“No I swear Kyler”

“Why then did you cheat on me and even trapped me just to get money from me?”

Kyler grab her by the arm in anger and shake her violently before throwing her to the ground

Veronica give a loud sound of panic and fear, her eyes already full of tears

Staring at the fire in his eyes Veronica know everything is over

He must have found out about everything and that is why he’s being this way, but how did that happened? She thought she has been careful enough

Should she admit to her wrongs and beg for his forgiveness now? She wondered but thought against it

Not with his present mood that is ready to strangle her to death

“Kyler…” She shut her mouth and swallow down a lump short of words to say

“What else have you done that I haven’t find out?”

“I have nothing more to say to you” he said and give a low exhale

“Sign the divorce papers!”

The words ring twice in Veronica’s head and she quickly get up on her feet

He want to seize this opportunity to divorce her now, what wrong has she done anyway? He also had an affair just like she did

“No I will not sign any papers, I’m not divorcing you Kyler”

“I’m not asking your opinion, I will send my lawyer to you tomorrow” he said and turn to leave

“Make sure you’re not here before I come back” he warned and walk out of the door

Veronica let herself fall to the nearest seat and put her hands on her chest to calm down.

“What to do now?”

She hit her lap with her fist nervously and try to think of a solution

Kyler seem to have known everything but there is something he doesn’t know, the fact that she had teamed up to get rid of the other woman

“No I can’t let Kyler divorce me!” She thought aloud shaking her head to disagree

Losing Kyler now will make her lose everything, her inheritance, her mum

Veronica panicked thinking about the consequences of losing him now and get up on her feet

She can’t just sit here and think, he has told her not to be here by the time he comes back, then she can only force him not to divorce.

Perhaps that smart man could help her out after all they share a secret together

“Even if I have to betray you over again Kyler, I will not divorce you” she promise herself and rush back to the room to get her phone and make calls.

“What happened to the first one?” Alex ask

Kyler sigh and give him a glance which shut him up, he know not to mess with him today and definitely not at this moment

He was the one who brought the report of the investigation to him and know how exactly he must be feeling right now

“When you asked me to find out about your wife, I also find out something else”

“I thought to wait till you solve this before telling you”

“What is that?”

“Your wife did not only met with Conrad but also with Mr. Bays from ARON”

“Your wife and Conrad were also at the same hotel you saw Miss. Cassidy”

“What are you talking about?” Kyler cut in confused for a sec

“I thought they came there for their business but one of the attendant I asked claim to have seen them together, and Miss. Cassidy was taken out by Conrad”

Kyler stare with a puzzle look not understanding why they had meet up at all, and what relationship they have together

“Did you investigate about her too? Or it was just a coincident you find out?” He asked to be sure

“I was investigating to see when last Mrs. Black and Mr. West meet”

“It seems like she was also involve in all these schemes” Kyler said feeling his anger rising up again

“Should I investigate further? Or just leave it” Alex finish seeing his glare after his first question.

Her too! What reason does she have to go to this extent just to get revenge on him for firing her

Is it possible that she has been planning this right from the day she became his secretary?

No that can not be true, If she had wanted revenge on him she would have done it when she was with him there was too much chances for her to harm him

“But what the hell was she doing with Conrad too?” Kyler thought with great fury and hit the space beside him hard

“Investigate further, and give me feedback soon” he said to Alex as he get down from the car and walk into the vacation house.
