Start With An Unexpected Affair

The next two days, Yasmin made sure to work through the days in order to get her mind off all things in general including the deal she has with Mr. Bays. Very soon she will be leaving Black Corporation and won’t have the chance to carry out the task given

But whether or not she want to do it, Yasmin hasn’t figure it out yet and dilemma has been giving her serious headache for those two days

Since he only sees her as a burden he wants to get rid of, she can as well get rid of him too and have two wins, securing a more high position for herself in ARON and having her revenge on Kyler

Having sit in front of the computer all morning working, Yasmin decide to go out for a short walk before she continue her walk and went to the coffee room and drink a cup of coffee, the only thing in her stomach

Then she took the already draft document for the team head manager of Black in order to get his signature and submit the report back to president Black

“Is Mr. Kase in?” she asked one of his team members

“Yes but I don’t think he want to see anyone at the moment”

“I need him to approve this so I can submit to President Black, I know he doesn’t want to work with me but he has no choice than to” she inform, give the document to be given to him and left.

A minute after Yasmin left, Mr. Kase came out of the office like he was waiting for her to leave, the document was handed over to him but he look it over with disgust

“How dare she boss me around” he said with despise.

“That repellant woman, she has the nerve to come back here” one of the team members commented in like-manner

“We refuse to work with her and even cause her more work yet she didn’t give up, I must say she’s one strong woman”

“Strong woman my foot, she’s just so shameless, if I were her, I wouldn’t have the gut to continue working here”

Work hour is almost over and Yasmin has been waiting for a respond of the document she sent earlier, she need to wrap everything up today so she could meet with President Black and get what she wants

But the response doesn’t seem to be coming as she expected, having no other choice, she went back again to ask for it

When Yasmin got to the large office with few desks, there is only one person left and that is the person she handed over the document to

“Excuse me? Where is Mr. Kase?” she asked sounding as polite as she could be

“He went to the party organized by President Black”

“Party?”

“Yes party, I’m sure you are not invited since you are not an employee here” she said sounding boorish

Yasmin look dumbstruck not sure how to comprehend the situation, she is well aware they don’t want to work with her and she understand them, even though it seem unreasonable with her

But in order to make peace, she had let go and work on her own with all of them helping with little or nothing at all, and now just to review all that hardwork and yet they can’t, it’s not like she offended anyone of them or committed a crime that she need to suffer for.

“Where is this party happening?” she asked

After the reconciliation with Veronica, she has requested that he throw her a party to celebrate their reunion again as the last weeks wasn’t the best for their marriage and so Kyler agreed to it

Parties is the only way he have his fun and so it was easy to agree to it, many of their acquaintances was invited to the party although the real reason for the party was only known to him and Veronica

Soon the party hall was filled with lot of people who came to enjoy and celebrate with them, they had agreed to make it a love celebration party and couples are seen on the dance floor making the best of the night.

The music was stopped for few minutes to welcome the hosts into the hall, Veronica wearing a red mini gown with white straps on it, Kyler also wears a smoking Jacket which makes him look a bit younger and different

They walk in with their hands crossed against each other with Veronica having a big smile on her face as the guests give an applause to welcome them

A toast was made and soon the music turn on again, they both had he first dance and everyone else joined.

Conrad’s eyes watch Veronica as she dances slowly and dreamingly with Kyler, the party seems like a joke to him, after all they did together and Kyler aware of her infidelity, he still forgives her and now what? Celebration of our love

“what bullshit!” he spited

He got up from where he was sitting and walk towards the two dancing in each other’s embrace, just as he is about to get to them, Veronica’s eyes caught him and she immediately stops dancing

Seeing the uncomfortable expression on her face, Conrad smiles and stops, with his eyes gesture, he signal to Veronica that he wants to see her but she stare dagger at him

“Kyler?” she called

“Bathroom” she simply said and walk away

Understanding the information, Conrad follows almost immediately after her and the two meet at the bathroom’s corridor

“What are you…?”

Conrad didn’t let her finish her sentence and force a kiss on her, she try to push him away but didn’t succeed, when he was satisfied, he let go but not with a slap from Veronica after

“You dick!” she cussed

“I’ve always been a dick Veronica and you love it when I am one” he replied teasingly with a big smirk

“This is the last time you will initiate any kind of intimacy with me” she warned and want to walk away but Conrad was in front of her and didn’t let her pass through

“If I wanted to end things soon I wouldn’t risk everything” he said the smirk gone and a hard look replace it

“You are the one who seduced me and ask me to fill in for your husband’s shortcoming in bed, and now you think you can just end it?”

“Yes, I started this and I’m putting an end to it, I was a fool to want to choose you over Kyler, he’s a better man” she said angrily

“I guess you are still mad with me”

“Mad is an understatement Conrad!” she yelled

“You abandoned me and left me to face the consequences of our action”

“I’m sorry, at least now, it is resolved, if I had gotten involved, Kyler would have my head”

“You are such a coward” she said and cross her hand

Conrad sees her soften and move closer to her to coax her, Veronica didn’t resist at first as her body and soul missed his touch but then at the second thought of things, she push him violently away causing him to hit the wall hard

“Back off Conrad, whatever we have between us is over” she told him more firmly and practically ran off.

He watch her leave and groan in anger trying to nurse his pain, after he regain his feet back on the ground, he hit the wall in rage and swear repeatedly

“This is not over yet Veronica” he whispered to the thin air after her.
