Stuck In The Wrong Marriage

Chapter 69

Happy reading…

Fed up.

One word that can describe Haidar’s feelings right now. Seeing Jayden talking friendly in front of his father, occasionally laughing also made Haidar want to throw his fists at the man’s face full of tricks.

He don’t know how long Jayden will stay there. Just testing Haidar’s patience.

“Looks like I have to say goodbye now,” Jayden said looking at his gray watch.

“Any other business?” asked Thomas. It seemed that the middle-aged man was not satisfied chatting with Jayden without caring about his own son’s passionate feelings, wanting Jayden to get out of their sight.

With a shy face Jayden replied, “I have an appointment with my future wife to prepare for our wedding.”

“You’re getting married?” Thomas asked with a surprised look on his face.

Haidar chuckled. He really wanted to say that Jayden’s marriage was his second marriage after he betrayed his first wife.

“Yes. It’s next week,” Jayden said as he held out an invitation to Thomas. The man immediately took it. Observed for a moment then looked back at Jayden. “I hope you and Mr. Haidar can come to our event,” he continued.

“Of course. We’ll definitely come,” Thomas said happily, patting Jayden lightly on the shoulder.

“I really hope that Haidar also gets married soon after you,” said Thomas suddenly making them; Jayden, Haidar and Ridwan looked at him.

“But to this day, he hasn’t introduced his future wife yet,” said the man in a sarcastic tone to Haidar. While those who were being sarcastic could only exhale slowly.

Jayden smirked. “Really? I think Mr. Haidar has introduced you to the woman he is currently close to.”

“You’re close to a woman, Haidar?”

Hearing Jayden’s words made Thomas look at Haidar with a curious look. Is it true that his son already has a girlfriend? But why didn’t he introduce her to their family?

Haidar knew that Jayden was trying to trap him in a complicated situation. His relationship status with Hera is uncertain and Haidar doesn’t want to lie.

“Yes, that’s true,” said Haidar curtly.

“Then why didn’t you ever tell Mom and Dad?”

“Right now our relationship has not gone that far.” Yes, Haidar will never lie, even if it will disappoint his interlocutor. And sure enough, Thomas’ smiling face turned disappointed.

“But I’ll make it mine as soon as possible,” Haidar continued then looked at Jayden as if hinting that what he was about to say next was meant for that man. “Because from the start he was mine.”

Jayden woke up. What does it mean? Hera was hers from the start, is that so? tsk! What an asshole!

Jayden’s hands were clenched into fists, jaw clenched. Especially when he saw the smirk that was displayed by Haidar. Unlucky! Jayden would have wanted to beat the man to a pulp if he didn’t remember where they were.

Haidar chuckled barely audible seeing Jayden’s expression. In the end the master eats weapons. Jayden, who initially wanted to annoy Haidar, now turned around. It was Haidar who managed to harass Jayden. But that didn’t make Haidar happy at all because if Jayden was still angry or somehow only the man knew, then he still had feelings for Hera.

The two of them glared at each other there. The tense atmosphere between the two of them was disturbed by the sound of Thomas’ laughter.

“Very good, Haidar. Immediately make her yours and introduce her to Mom and Dad,” he said with a happy tone again.

“Yes, Dad. In fact we will come with her to Jayden’s wedding,” said Haidar grinning.

We’ll see how much you still like my woman Jayden. Haidar thought.

Look. Even Haidar has branded Hera as his woman.

“Coming to Jayden and Elena’s wedding?”

“Yes. Why? You’re not planning to come?”

Hera looked away and shrugged her shoulders faintly. “I don’t know. I didn’t think about it.”

After the meeting earlier, Haidar rushed to the hospital. The man didn’t want Hera to wait too long. Even though it was only his own mind because Hera had been busy taking care of Juan. But let it be. Remember, Haidar does have a very high level of self-confidence.

“They invited you?” then asked Hera.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

“Yes,” replied Haidar nodding. “You know that Jayden and I are still business partners.” Haidar had tried to be joking but Hera still looked disappointed when she heard his words.

“Actually I really wanted to break our cooperation contract but—”

“Don’t confuse your work problems with mine, Haidar. It has nothing to do with it,” Hera interrupted immediately.

“No, Hera. This has absolutely nothing to do with you,” said Haidar.

Hera giggled. “You’re not a good liar.”

Oh shit!

Haidar got caught. He couldn’t help but smile awkwardly as he scratched the back of his neck that didn’t itch.

“You can still have a cooperative relationship with Jayden without feeling guilty about me. In business you can trust him. He’s the best,” said Hera.

For some reason hearing Hera praising Jayden made Haidar’s heart throb in pain. Haidar was jealous and he didn’t deny it.

“You still have feelings for him?” asked Haidar after a moment of silence. Suddenly the question made Hera flinch but she could still control her expression so as not to overdo it.

“What kind of feelings should I have for him again?” Hera took a deep breath. “After everything he’s done to me and my family, even hate doesn’t seem enough.”

Seeing Hera’s sad face made Haidar feel guilty. Why did he have to ask such a stupid question? Yet he himself already knew the answer. Maybe Haidar just needed clear confirmation from Hera so he wouldn’t be jealous anymore.

“Then why are you still reluctant to accept me?”

“I never said I rejected you.”

“But you didn’t give me any certainty either.”

Seeing Haidar whining like this really made Hera irritated herself. Until unconsciously she laughed a little. No one would have thought that a cold and charismatic figure like Haidar could whine like a child. They had to see it for themselves, like Hera in order to believe it.

“Hey, why are you even laughing?” Haidar protested.

“That means you still have to wait, Haidar,” Hera said after her laughter subsided.

Haidar chuckled. “How much longer do I have to wait?” he asked suddenly approaching Hera who was now sitting beside him.

Oh my God! They were too close. Even Hera had to hold her breath for a while when Haidar’s warm breath brushed against the surface of her skin. If he had released his dominant aura like this, no one would be able to move in front of Haidar. Including Hera? Of course, all this time she was just holding it in so that Haidar wouldn’t know if they were in such close proximity now, Hera’s heart was working doubled.

“I’ve waited long enough and this time I don’t accept any more rejections,” said Haidar suddenly making Hera’s eyes widen.

Their gazes met. Haidar’s clear black irises could make Hera seem hypnotized. Fall in the charm of the man. Haidar is right, what is Hera waiting for? Actually, it doesn’t exist anymore. So far, it was only feelings of doubt that made Hera walk in place. She had failed in a relationship and it left a sense of trauma and fear.

But seeing Haidar’s sincerity all this time, it should have cleared Hera’s doubts and fears. Haidar is not Jayden who will hurt her. Instead the man promises love and happiness. Hera alone was stupid for making the man wait indefinitely.

As the distance between them is erased. Hera steadied her heart. In the kiss without demands, Hera hoped that her decision to believe this time would not be wrong.

Okay. I will try it.
