Super Mommy and Her Triplets

Chapter 906 Ask For Humiliation

Chapter 906 Ask For Humiliation

Bailey allowed Blaze to yell at her without a word.

Cameron only got poisoned while rescuing her, so she should take full responsibility.

Whether it was Edmund or Cameron, she never wished for them to risk their lives to protect her because bearing the weight of others' lives was a heavy burden to carry.

She would rather die herself than watch them die for her.

“You're right. I am a nobody and have no right to talk big, but now that it's come down to this, I hope you can stay calm. Losing your sanity will bring about dire consequences.” Having said that, she got up and walked toward the door.

Blaze pursed her lips, a hint of regret flashing past her eyes.

She got way too emotional just now and lost her composure, saying something she shouldn't have.

Just as Bailey was about to exit the room, Blaze said in a hoarse voice, “I'm sorry.”

Bailey chuckled nonchalantly without breaking her stride and said, “I'm not that petty. Get some rest for now. Call me once Cameron wakes up, and we'll discuss the method of detoxification.”

With that, her silhouette vanished at the doorway.

Blaze narrowed her eyes.

At times, she truly envied Bailey for her mature and steady demeanor in the face of adversity as well as her calmness and ability to devise strategies.

A woman like her deserved admiration, affection, and protection from many men.

Sometimes, Blaze would wonder if she would fall in love with someone like Bailey, too, if she were in Cameron's shoes.

That was because only someone as outstanding as Bailey were worth their admiration.

As soon as Bailey stepped out of the room, her legs gave way and she fell straight to the ground.

Before her upper body could hit the ground, someone rushed over and caught her just in time.

“What's wrong? Why are you so weak? Don't tell me you're poisoned, too.” Artemis began searching her body for needles.

Nestling weakly in his arms, she said hoarsely, “I'm not poisoned. I wouldn't have still been alive if I was. Don't worry. Dodging those silver needles drained my energy, and now that I've let my guard down, my body has gone into shutdown mode, that's all.”

Artemis scooped her up in his arms and walked toward the room next door.

“Is the poison inside Cameron tricky to deal with?”

Burrowing her head in his chest, she said through tears, “I don't want to owe them anything, but I just

can't stop all this from happening.”

Artemis paused in his tracks and looked down at her, saying soothingly, “Even without tonight's incident, Kurt would still find other ways to poison Cameron. They are sworn enemies, just like you and Zoey. Neither can tolerate the other's presence, and it's only a matter of time before they confront each other. There's no escaping it.”

Bailey couldn't help smiling bitterly. “You always seem to know how to comfort me. Then can you guess why Kurt used such a lethal poison against Cameron?”

Artemis furrowed his brows.

I can't read Kurt's mind. How can I possibly know what he's thinking? That guy had already been banished from the Yablon family and even stole the Encyclopedia of Poison. Logically speaking, he should've disappeared and gone completely off-grid. But instead, he didn't bother concealing himself and concocted lethal poison to harm the heir of the Yablon family, making an enemy of the entire clan. It's truly bizarre.

“I can't really tell for now, but generally, only two things can make men go crazy. The first being power, and the second being women. Even if Kurt kills Cameron, he still won't be able to become the head of the Yablon family, so he didn't do it for power. He must've done so for a woman.”

Bailey looked up at him, having a faint inkling of what was going on after hearing his analysis.

There was only one woman who could drive Kurt to kill Cameron, and that was Blaze.

Could Kurt have fallen for Blaze?

“All right, stop thinking and get some rest. Kurt will soon show up himself,” said Artemis.

Bailey nodded with a sigh. “Well, there's no use speculating right now. It's hard to tell what someone is thinking. Who knows what plan Kurt has in mind?”

In the study at the Hoffman residence, Tucker's personal bodyguard rushed in and addressed his boss, who was sitting on the couch dealing with work matters. “Mr. Hoffman, Sofie is dead.”

Tucker was momentarily taken aback. Once he regained his composure, he closed his notebook and looked up at the bodyguard, his voice low as he asked, “Is the information reliable? Who killed her?”

“Rest assured, the information is reliable. Moranta is the Hoffman family's territory, so our informants are everywhere. Every little thing that happens in this city will be caught by our undercover agents. Sofie has indeed died in a storage shop on East-West Road, leaving no trace of her remains behind. Our informant reported that she was severely injured by Zoey before Bailey went over and dealt the finishing blow.”

Tucker sprang up from the couch. NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

He couldn't be bothered about how Sofie died. What mattered to him was the whereabouts of the confidential documents that controlled the Hoffman family's economic lifeline.

“What about the documents in her possession? Did they manage to retrieve it for me?” he asked.

The bodyguard fell to his knees with a thud, his voice trembling as he said, “I'm sorry for my

incompetence. I couldn't retrieve the documents, but I suspect they are in Zoey Shurmer's hands. That woman is so much easier to deal with compared to Sofie. Please give me a little more time. I will surely retrieve the item you want.”

Tucker launched a swift kick at the bodyguard and fumed, “Useless prick! Why can't you even handle such a small task? I'm giving you three more days. You must find Zoey Shurmer for me even if it means turning Moranta upside down.”

“Yes, sir, I'll promptly escalate the search efforts. You have my word that I'll deliver that document to you within three days,” the bodyguard promised.

“Get lost!” Tucker yelled.

In response, the bodyguard scrambled out of the room.

A moment later, the butler came in, informing Tucker that Juliana requested an audience.

Tucker chuckled sinisterly when he heard that.

She shows up on her own when I haven't gone to mess with her yet.

“Let her in.”

Before long, Juliana entered the room.

Tucker couldn't help mocking, “Are you here asking for humiliation?”

Standing by the door, Juliana looked at him coldly and clenched her jaw. “Do you really wish to become an eternal sinner of the Hoffman family?”

Tucker laughed heartily. “It's quite an achievement to be known as an eternal sinner. In the thousand- year history of the Hoffman family, I'm the sole sinner. I won't consider it a disgrace. Instead, I take pride in it. What can you do about it?”

“You...”

Before she could say anything, Tucker interjected, “Sofie is dead, and the confidential documents have fallen into Zoey's hands. You're accusing me of leading our family to doom, so why don't you do something practical like snatch the documents back from Zoey?”

Sofie's dead?

A flicker of surprise flashed through Juliana's eyes for a fleeting moment.

If the documents are really in Zoey's possession, they'll be much easier to retrieve.

“All right. I'll retrieve those documents for you, but you'd better not do anything foolish. Otherwise, if the family is ruined, you'll fall from grace and get trampled upon by others,” she warned him before turning to leave the room.

The moment Tucker regained his senses, he watched Juliana's retreating figure with a glint of murderous intent in her eyes.
