Chapter 74: The Farce Was Finally Over
Maybe she was the same with Song Yueming’s mother, so Xia Ru’nan was afraid of the old lady. From NôvelDrama.Org.
Because both of them were subconsciously repulsive to and wary of each other, Xia Ru’nan decided to kill the old lady. She bought off the family’s servants and the personal doctor of the old lady. Everything would have been clearly going well all within a year. The old lady would be paralyzed first, then she would lose her clear mind and would not remember things gradually and she would become a disabled person lying down the bed at last.
But there appeared a woman named Song Lan halfway who destroyed her plan. And everything went against her will. Besides, her daughter under her careful protection hit the skids again and again and finally was driven out of the family.
She blamed all on Song Qinghuan and Song Lan. Xia Ru’nan got to know why Song Qinghuan became hostile against her when she privately discovered that Song Lan had contact with Song Qinghuan.
‘Song Lan, Song Lan!’
‘The damnable woman!’ Xia Ru’nan hated Song Lan. But Xia Ru’nan was caught off guard as Song Lan counterattacked her fiercely, who was supported by the old lady. Before she found a solution to Song Lan, a home conflict happened that time, that was, Song Yueming cheated on her with someone else!
During the short time of a few months, Xia Ru’nan fell from heaven to hell, who thought there was an invisible hand pushing her toward the mire step by step.
Her daughter had an mishap, she was dismissed, her husband cheated on her, and the mistress came to provoke her. But a second spring came to her before Xia Ru’nan was going to collapse.
That man was gentle to her. As the executive president in the Chinese region of a multinational company, he had a fine sense of humor. At the bottom of her life, he came close to Xia Ru’nan. Besides, the man was more generous than Song Yueming, giving her houses and cars. His courtship went in a fierce and romantic way.
Thinking of those houses and cars under her own name, Xia Ru’nan believed that she was blessed by the god. She secretly checked the identity and assets of the man, finding that he was widowed and had no children. He was like a red apple in front of her, so attractive that Xia Ru’nan could not help but bite it up.
At first the apple was very sweet, which Xia Ru’nan was indulged in, but she did not know that there was a bug in the big attractive apple until Xia Ru’nan bit the core of the fruit!
It was an ugly and disgusting bug!
After being addicted to drugs, Xia Ru’nan found that the man disappeared from her life by means of a business trip.
Xia Ru’nan could not contact the man and she lost economic sources. She called the man the first day, and the second day, who refused her calls. “Sorry, the number you dialed does not exist…” that was the reply when she dialed the number on the third day. Further more, her villa and her cars were also taken away by the police.
Xia Ru’nan learned from the police that the man was a member of an international fraud gang, and there were several cases like that happened in the country. Xia Ru’nan felt like in an ice house, who finally realized that she had been defrauded.
Xia Ru’nan was not a fool, but the man took undue advantage of occasions, who appeared when she was depressed from suffering a multiple spiritual blows. She was lured to jump into the sweet traps one after another.
A worse blow came later. When Xia Ru’nan went back home from the police station on that day, she found the lights were not on in her villa. She frowned and came in. Suddenly, an ashtray was thrown to her.
Xia Ru’nan was hit on the head which was broken. The lights were on and she saw a man standing in front of her. Like a demon in the eyes of Xia Ru’nan at that moment, Song Yueming grabbed her by the neck and threw her onto the floor bitterly when she thought she was going to die.
As the photos were scattered all over her face, Xia Ru’nan knew that she was finished.
She had been scheming half a lifetime, but in the end she was schemed against, and she was more miserable than her closest bestie!
How ridiculous!
With her last straw broken, Xia Ru’nan went mad!
And this time, Song Yueming was determined to divorce with Xia Ru’nan, and even Song Yueming’s mother who concerned her reputation the most only sighed deeply without any comments after she was told about what Xia Ru’nan did.
Lying on the bed, the old lady looked much older and weaker. With two cloudy eyes, she looked like a defeated peacock. Song’s family was chaotic with one blow after another. She was unable to do what she was expected to do.
In this failed marriage, Song Shuyao was the most disappointed, in addition to Xia Ru’nan with mental disorder who was sent to a convalescent hospital by Song Mingxiu for drug treatment in the name of “rehabilitation”.
Song Shuyao believed that she was still the young lady of Song’s family as long as her mother was in Song’s family.
Xia Ru’nan was the guardian angel of Song Shuyao.
But the guardian angel was gone, her mother was mad, and she herself was driven out of the family. Song Shuyao went down on her knees out of the door of her grandmother’s room, crying hysterically.
She did not know what had gone wrong and why everything had changed.
She was no longer the young lady of Song’s family, nor was her mother the President’s wife of the Song’s Group. Everything she was dependent on was gone.
Despite of Song Shuyao’s crying, the old lady’s door was closed all the way.
Finally Song Shuyao went out of the Song’s house with her broken forehead.
Seeing Song Qinghuan with an umbrella in the rain, Song Shuyao with burning hatred rushed to Song Qinghuan. “It is you, it is you who did all this, isn’t it?” she sternly accused Song Qinghuan.
Holding the umbrella, expressionless Song Qinghuan looked impassive. Song Shuyao did not know why she trembled when she looked at the eyes of Song Qinghuan.
Song Shuyao was surrounded by cold, freezing cold and she stepped back vigilantly.
Song Shuyao stepped back in the rain as Song Qinghuan took a step forward with the umbrella, which caused Song Shuyao to step back hastily and finally fall on the ground.
The heavy rain was pouring on the top of the umbrella. Song Qinghuan held it up and looked down at Song Shuyao on the ground and said in a cold voice, “If you do not harm others, who can harm you?”
With her teeth chattering, Song Shuyao clenched her hands and she raised her head and stared fiercely at Song, “So what? You owe me that! You’re only a daughter of a mistress. How can you overpower me in everything?”
“A daughter of a mistress?” Song Qinghuan sneered. She slowly squatted. The rain was spattered on her boots. Song Qinghuan pinched the chin of Song Shuyao with her cold fingers, saying slowly and clearly to Song Shuyao, “What a pity! Xia Ru’nan was a mistress, and she was replaced by another mistress. I can live better without Song’s family, but can you?”
Song Qinghuan let go the chin of disgusting Song Shuyao. Standing up, she wiped the fingers that she had just touched Song Shuyao with an embroidery handkerchief slowly, “Without Song’s family, you, and your mother who was mistress, would be just blood suckers dependent on others to live.”
Throwing the clean handkerchief into a dustbin, Song Qinghuan turned back and saw Song Mingxiu standing not far away.
“It’s not true, it’s not true! You lied to me, you lied to me!” Song Shuyao hysterically screamed, covering her ears with her hands. And she finally fell into a stupor with her eyes turning up the whites. Song Mingxiu came over and picked up Song Shuyao who was still in a coma. He then left in the opposite direction of Song Qinghuan.
