Sweet Subterfuge

Chapter 86

Chapter 86

The police did not restrict access to the surgery building, so Dylan reached the rooftop pretty easily. There

was a policeman guarding the entrance. When he saw Dylan coming over, he blocked him off.

“The rooftop is still off limits.”

Dylan got out his business card and handed it over calmly. “Hello, sir. I’m a lawyer representing Ms. Larissa Seymour, specifically here to negotiate with Ms. Levange.”

Everyone present knew about how Janine wanted to meet Larissa through her wailing.

The policeman went out to the rooftop briefly before coming back. He said to Dylan, “Go on up.” NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

“Thank you.” Dylan made the last few steps to reach his destination.

The rooftop of the surgery building was quite large. It usually served as a resting area for doctors and nurses. with several long tables placed there.

As people frequently came up here, the doors to the rooftop were not locked, which gave Janine the chance to jump“.

Turning a corner, Dylan saw two uniformed policemen and Janine, who had gone over the railing to stick herself to one of the letters that spelled out “Surgery Building“.

The policemen were trying to persuade her. “Your daughter–in–law’s lawyer will be here soon. You have to

come back over for him to negotiate with you, right?”

Janine kept shaking her head. “I don’t want to meet her lawyer! I want to meet HER! If Larissa doesn’t come. I

won’t go back over!”

Dylan adjusted his collar and walked out while carrying his empty briefcase.

“Hello sirs, hello Ms. Levange. I am Ms. Seymour’s representative attorney, Mr. Shields.”

The policemen nodded at him, while Janine glared. “Where’s Larissa? Where is she?!”

“It is not convenient for Ms. Seymour to appear now, so she sent me.” Dylan kept a smile on his face, and his tone was friendly. “I am able to fully represent Ms. Seymour, so it’s the same if you raise any requests to me.”

Janine hesitated a little upon hearing his second sentence.

“Can you truly represent her?”

“Yes.” Dylan nodded twice with emphasis.

“Good, then.” Janine stepped forward to hold the railing. She stood there, eyes staring straight at Dylan. “I

want Larissa to take back everything she said tonight!”

“This…” Dylan frowned. As he was hesitating, he noticed the looks given to him by the police.

He then said, “Of course.”
