Chapter 1581 Refusal Of Another Invitation
Chapter 1581 Refusal Of Another Invitation
The Rule Soul Avatar took the old man's life, while Lord Starry Sword and Lord Feng were engaged in
battles of their own. They brandished their weapons and killed the men they were each fighting.
In just a quarter of an hour, all four enemies had been vanquished.
"Look at what I found,"
Darren said, flying over with a green gourd in his grasp.
Each of his companions found the same thing as well.
"This is the spatial treasure of the Archean world. It's where their items are stored," revealed the Rule
Soul Avatar.
"Is it possible for us to open it?"
A spatial treasure was a very special thing. If opened by force, it would be destroyed. But with the Rule
Soul Avatar present, that might not be how things went.
"Sure,"
replied the Rule Soul Avatar. There were very few rule cultivators in the Archean Age and the spatial
treasures that could be refined were very ordinary. Opening the gourd wasn't difficult for the Rule Soul
Avatar because of this.
A few strands of Spirit Power swirled out, and the four green gourds were all shattered open.
Many things floated in the air, packed densely together, like four small mountains.
The purple crystal with blood streaks floated on its own, as if with a mind of its own, like it was trying to
escape.
Whoosh!
The Rule Soul Avatar glided over and slammed it with his palm. The purple blood crystal glowed and
began trembling.
However, nothing came of this. A moment later it dimmed and floated on quietly.
"This purple blood crystal contains very pure Archean energy."
"Put it away for now. We'll refine it when we find a safe place to do so."
The Rule Soul Avatar then put the crystal away.
Boom! Boom!
Just then, a massive shadow blocked out the light, covering Darren and his companions in shade and
dulling the world. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
A fierce aura spread out and the strong pressure that came off it made their bones creak.
"A beast!"
It was a mountain-like Archean beast, enormous and intimidating.
It seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. How curious.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
They all flew away immediately at the sight of it. The Archean aura coming off it was as strong as the
sea, pushing against them. They felt it was safe to assume that it would be quite troublesome trying to
fight against such a monstrosity.
Even if they were to use their god's power, they still might not be able to kill it.
They chose their best course of action, which was to flee.
They flew dozens of kilometers before Darren glanced back to discover that they were being chased by
the fierce beast.
It moved at such great speed that it was getting dangerously close to catching up to them.
The Rule Soul Avatar mobilized the Wind Rule, tripling the speed of the other three.
They darted away like four rays of light sweeping across the sky, quickly putting some distance
between themselves and the beast.
"Bastard!"
echoed a clear, deep voice throughout the sky.
The beast that had been hot on their tail now turned suddenly and dashed away in the other direction.
Bang!
It only took a few steps before it exploded into smoke and flames.
The entire sky was covered with chunks of flesh and blood raining down within hundreds of kilometers.
Darren and the others stopped dead in their tracks, taken aback by the mysterious events unfolding.
'Who was it just now?' they all wondered. Whoever it was, they possessed a terrifying strength!
As they paused in thought, rays of brilliant sunlight beamed from the depths of the sky. A figure
emerged, gradually getting larger and larger.
Buzz.
The void trembled as if distorted by an immense disturbance.
'Oh my. It's a real master. A master in the Archean Age,' Darren thought, in shock at this reality.
"Please wait. Do not be alarmed."
The figure stepped out of the light towards Darren and the others, as if breaking through layers of
space. He eventually landed tens of feet away from Darren and his three companions.
"Who are you? Why have you stopped us?" Darren asked calmly and coldly, remaining wary of this
stranger.
The man simply nodded and didn't answer Darren's questions.
"As expected, it's you, the three rumored divine bodies," said the man. He then turned his gaze on
Darren. "As for you..."
He seemed confused and unable to make out Darren's constitution.
"Dakota, are they truly divine bodies?"
asked a beautiful girl as she walked out from behind the man.
Darren and the others quickly recognized her. The girl was none other than Aria, the Holy Maiden of
the Ye Clan.
"So, you've come for revenge, is that it?" Lord Feng asked with obvious hostility and narrowed eyes.
He wasn't afraid, he was ready for anything.
The worst case scenario would be the four of them would have to use their god's power all at the same
time. Even if they were only allowed three seconds, it might still be enough time for them to defeat the
old man.
"Oh no, you must have misunderstood me. And besides, if I wanted to kill you, you would have been
dead thousands of kilometers back, wouldn't you?" Dakota Ye said.
"Humph!" Aria snorted with displeasure. It seemed Dakota Ye was in fact not going to kill them. These
four had tried to kill her and now she would not be avenged.
She understood Dakota Ye's decision, though. There were, after all, three divine bodies standing right
in front of them.
Last time she saw them, Aria had her suspicions that these people were divine bodies. Even so,
hearing Dakota Ye reveal the fact still startled her.
"Well then, seeing as you have no intention of killing us, we'll be on our way. Goodbye," Darren said
jovially and unbothered.
"What's the rush?"
Dakota Ye added, waving his hand in dismissal of his response and indicating them to stay.
"It doesn't matter where you've come from. I need to warn you." He swept a look across them all, and
his gaze suddenly turned to a menacing glare.
"Despite what you think, you may not know what being a divine body means. This land is led by the
eight ancient clans, and each clan has their own Eternity Realm warriors. Each of these Eternity Realm
warriors was only a kingly body. Your divine bodies' potential is even greater than a kingly body. Do you
understand what I'm saying?"
Darren stepped forward, calm and collected and asked, "Does it matter whether we do or don't
understand? You just want us to submit to your clan and be your puppets to do your bidding. Let me tell
you something; that's never going to happen."
"Hahaha..."
Dakota Ye laughed haughtily. "I'm flattered you would think me capable of such things. I'm merely here
to offer a sincere invite to you on behalf of the Ye Clan, not to ask you to submit. If you are interested, I
promise you will receive treatment of the highest quality as well as the best resources we have to offer."
"It's useless trying with these guys, Dakota. I've said as much many times before. They're all brainless
and won't listen for half a second to what you have to say," Aria said with annoyance.
"My friends, are you unwilling to join our Ye Clan?" Dakota Ye asked calmly when Darren and the
others did not give an answer.
"Yes,"
all four of them replied in unison.
Dakota Ye's chest puffed in sudden shock. He smoothed his beard and let out a long sigh.
"Is it that you're not afraid of death, or is it that you think of yourselves as too noble for our clan?
The divine body may be an unmatched treasure body, but it is still useless until you're strong enough to
wield it. Understand?"
It was obvious what he meant; if they turned him down, he would kill them.
"Is that how you invite people in, with that attitude?" Darren sneered with detest.
The old man didn't sound sincere at all.
He had threatened to kill Darren and his companions if they refused him. They were now only more
determined to turn him down.
If the old man had been disappointed but let them leave, he might have left Darren and the others with
a good impression. Even If they did not join the Ye Clan today, they would not be their enemies and
might even help them some day.
Unfortunately, that was not the path of action he had chosen. The old man and the Holy Maiden of the
Ye Clan possessed the same attitude, an attitude that Darren and his companions were disgusted by.
They wanted nothing to do with them.
"If it's a fight you want, bring it on,"
Lord Starry Sword, who had been silent the entire time, finally spoke up, infinite killing intent flowing in
his black and white sword pupils.
