TAMING THE BEAST IN HIM ( His Red Phoenix )

After the kiss, Phoenix refused to go to Axion’s room. She didn’t have the courage to look at him after what he said she did. Night came and Axion, when Phoenix didn’t come to his room, went downstairs to look for her.

And there she was on the couch, snoring peacefully. Axion went back upstairs and came back later with a tilt, which he used to cover her up. Staring at her calm and peaceful face, he scoffed.

” Do you seriously think you can handle the responsibility of being my Phoenix? ” With that, he just left.

THE NEXT MORNING

A knock came on Gianna’s door before it opened and Phoenix stepped in. Seeing her with a tray, Gianna smirked mischievously.

” Thank goodness you’re here. Here, make sure you make my bed and clean this room up before I’m back ” She commanded much to Phoenix’s surprise. She frowned deeply.

” Excuse me? ”

” Are you deaf? Or don’t you know your job? ” Gianna snapped and a huff left Phoenix’s lips. Gianna headed to the table and opened the plate on the tray. Her face squeezed up in disgust.

” What is this? ” She demanded, glaring at Phoenix who only folded her arms.

” Make me some french toast and take this shit away. Hurry, I don’t want to be late for work ”

” What do you think I am? ” Phoenix asked, displeased.

” A maid obviously. Why else will Axion have a lady living with him who isn’t his girlfriend? ” Gianna shrugged.

” I knew she was no good the first time I saw her ” Phoenix sneered.

” Do you seriously think someone like Axion needs a maid? ” She scoffed.

” You are his friend so it’s kind of embarrassing you aren’t aware of his powers ” Gianna’s face clouded in a frown.

” How dare you? How dare you question my friendship with Axion? Who do you think you are?! ” She bellowed?

” I am Axion’s Phoenix, thanks for asking ” Phoenix smirked in satisfaction.

” If you want some French toast, go make one for yourself. And also, if you don’t have the hands to make your bed when you wake up, then don’t sleep on it ” She hissed and turned to leave.

Gianna grabbed her hair and pulled her back but Phoenix pushed her off and she fell to the floor almost bumping her head into the bed frame. Her eyes dilated in shock.

” Just because you are a guest here, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t know your limits ” Phoenix warned and left. Gianna clenched her fist in anger, getting up.

” You aren’t as weak as I thought, Phoenix. But… that doesn’t mean you’re stronger. I’ll make you pay for touching me ”

Axion was in his office busy going through a document when someone knocked.

” Come in ” The door opened, revealing Gianna.

” Hey ” She greeted, grabbing a seat.

” Why are you here? Is anything wrong? ” Axion asked, not even sparing a glance.

” Not really. I just came to remind you of the invitation of our company to Dragon Empire’s 25th anniversary ” Gianna replied.

” I never forgot about it, ” Axion said.

” It’s tomorrow and you’re expected to come with a plus one. Have you decided who it will be? ” It was then that Axion looked up.

” No ” He answered simply.

” Do you need me to help you find one? ” Gianna offered.

” Don’t worry. I already have someone in mind ”

” Who? ”

” You will find out soon ”

THE NEXT DAY ( DURING NIGHTTIME)

Phoenix entered the room and saw Axion all dressed up and ready to dash out.

” Are you attending a party? ” She couldn’t help but ask.

” Grab the dress on the bed, clean yourself and get ready. Don’t keep me waiting ” Axion instructed, heading to the door.

” You don’t have to know ” Axion replied and left.

” Weird ” Phoenix mumbled, walking over to the bed. She opened the box and took out the elegant, red dress with a silver color bag and heels making her gasp in awe.

Axion met Gianna downstairs, ready and waiting for him. On spotting him, she walked toward him with the most sincere smile she could think of.

” Let’s go,” She said.

” Not yet ”

” Are we waiting for someone? ” She asked and Axion nodded.

” Who? ”

Gianna’s question was answered as she and Axion looked up. There on the stairs was Phoenix, looking as beautiful and elegant as ever. The red prom gown fitted her perfectly, coupled with her red, golden hair which was tied in a neat ponytail, bringing out the smoothness and beauty of her cute face. You could say… red is just her thing.

Axion couldn’t stop staring at Phoenix as she climbed down. Even though he doesn’t like her, he couldn’t deny she looked beautiful which made his heart skip a bit. Gianna on the other hand hissed angrily in envy.

” So she is his plus one ” She mocked.

Phoenix was done climbing down and walked up to Axion who was still staring at her.

” I’m ready ” She reported, snapping him out. Letting out a slight cough,

” Let’s go, ” He said and the three of them headed to the car.

The drive was filled with Gianna trying to start a conversation with Axion and him cutting it off. Phoenix was busy staring outside the window, enjoying the cool breeze. It felt as though it’s been ages since she has seen the outside world.

The car finally pull over on getting to their destination and the three of them stepped out. Walking to Phoenix,

” Hold my hand ” Axion commanded much to Phoenix’s surprise. She stared at him blankly while Gianna watched with burning anger. Axion glared at Phoenix.

” Now ” He snapped and Phoenix quickly wrapped her hand around his arm. They all went inside.

Immediately they stepped inside, the heat of uncomfortableness ran down Phoenix and she tightened her hold on Axion’s arm. Seeing many people gathered and they were all outfitted elegantly reminded her a lot about the club.

” Behave ” Axion eyed her and she nodded.

” Oh Mr. Rivera, so happy you came ” A man exclaimed, approaching Axion who smiled faintly.

” Mr. Adams ” He greeted and they both shook hands.

” Gianna, so happy to see you,” Mr. Adams said to Gianna and they both hugged. Looking at Phoenix, who was nibbling on her lips nervously,

” And you must be? ” Mr. Adam asked.

” Phoenix, his plus one ” Phoenix answered with a forced smile.

” Nice to meet you, Phoenix ”

” And you too ”

” Erm… Axion can I have a minute with you? ” Mr. Adams requested.

” Of course ”

” Stay here Phoenix and don’t go anywhere,” Axion said to Phoenix who nodded. With that, he and Mr. Adams left. Gianna too left, leaving Phoenix all by herself.

Not knowing what to do, Phoenix found a seat and sat down, playing with her fingers. Just then, a hand passed her a glass of wine to her making her look up only to see a guy smiling at her.

” Some wine? ” He asked, grabbing a seat.

” No thanks ” Phoenix declined.

” You don’t drink? ”

” Not in the mood ”

” Really? ” The guy scoffed.

” Don’t you even remember me Phoenix? ” He asked and hearing him call her name made Phoenix glared at him in surprise.

” Excuse me? ”

” Or are you pretending not to know me? ”

” Sorry but I don’t remember meeting you before ” Phoenix replied, already feeling uncomfortable. The guy let out a subtle laugh.

” Have you forgotten, Jason, your client? ” Phoenix’s eyes widened making the guy smirk.

” I haven’t seen you in the club for a long time now and we have some unfinished business to deal with ” Jason pointed out. Phoenix was starting to feel irritated.

” Sorry but I don’t feel comfortable with this conversation. Excuse me ” She said and made to stand.

” Not so fast ” Jason held her hand.

” You can’t just walk out on an unsatisfied customer. I paid for it, remember? ” He grinned. Phoenix pushed his hand off and left.

She started looking for Axion, with the desire of going home. She just doesn’t like it here anymore. What if she meets another client? Or what if she comes across Jason again?

Seeing Axion discussing with some men, made her sigh sadly and she grabbed another seat, waiting for him.

Soon, the party began and everything was going on flawlessly. Phoenix was starting to forget her encounter with Jason.

Halfway through the party, Phoenix stood up and left to answer nature’s call. She was done and was washing her hands when the restroom door barged open and Jason walked in. Seeing him, Phoenix’s eyes widened in horror and her heart skipped in fear. Jason approached, grinning evilly.

” We met again, didn’t we? ”

” What are doing in the ladies’ room? ” Phoenix scowled at him.

” To see you of course. As I said earlier, we have an unfinished business ” Jason approached even closer.

” Jason, what are you doing? Stay away from me ” Phoenix said, stepping back.

” I can’t Phoenix. You left me hanging the other day without gratifying my urge. Now I’m horny and you have to satisfy me. Isn’t that your job? ”

” Don’t come closer Jason, else I’ll scream ” Phoenix threatened, stylishly looking for a way to run to the door.

” Sure, go ahead ” Jason mocked. Phoenix made to rush to the door but Jason grabbed her hand and pulled her back, pinning her roughly to the wall.

” Let me go Jason ” Phoenix struggled to break from him but his grip was tight. Jason mad to kiss her and Phoenix kicked him hard at his d**k making him let go of her, grunting in pain.

Phoenix rushed to the door. But her eyes widened in horror on realizing it was locked.

” Not so fast baby girl ” Jason grinned.

” Help! Somebody help! ” Phoenix screamed, banging at the door. She looked back and saw Jason walking over to her with a satisfactory grimace.

” Somebody help me, please!! ” Phoenix yelled at the top of her voice, kicking angrily at the door.

” Stop trying Phoenix, nobody will come to your rescue ” Jason revealed and tears flooded Phoenix’s eyes.

Jason grabbed her arms and pinned her to the wall. He started kissing her neck forcefully.

” Stop please, I’m begging you ” Phoenix pleaded in tears, hitting and struggling to push him off but he was stronger. To worsen the matter, Jason claimed her lips in a rough kiss. More tears rolled down Phoenix’s face as she felt disgusted.

” Stop please ” She whimpered into his mouth.

” Shut up ” Jason snapped, pulling out of the kiss and landing a slap across her face. Well, he was gonna regret it soon.

The slap made Phoenix’s anger reach its climax. She closed her eyes and a rush of anger and power went down her, making her clench her fist and tightened her jaws. She snapped her eyes open which were now burning red, her whole body vibrating.

” Enough!! ” She roared in rage, pushing Jason away with all her might and that sent him flying across the room and slamming to the wall. He plopped to the floor with a loud thud, yelling out in pain…
