Yegor suddenly laughed. "Congratulations on becoming the Haleth Realm's ruler, James!"

James squinted and asked, "Who do you think I am?"

James ignored him, and his gaze drifted to the colorful clouds in the void. There stood Truett, and on the other side, Rebella, the Right Grand Steward of the Jademora Empire. It made sense for them to have past forms in the River of Time. However, Yegor's past form shouldn't be here. Otherwise, Yehria would also be present.

Seeing Yegor with a welcoming smile, James responded with a faint smile. Then, he pulled Zella along and stepped onto the cloud.

As they ascended the clouds, Yegor and the past forms of his friends accompanied them. With each cloud they stepped on, the previous one disappeared. After the final cloud vanished, they stood on a massive Path lotus.

Although he sat with his back to them, obscuring his face, his stature and build were hauntingly familiar to James.

The past forms that had come to welcome James assumed battle stances, surrounding James and Zella.

Zella also adopted a combat posture, ready for battle.

James, however, remained calm, focusing intently on the mysterious being facing away from them.

"You've invited me here but refuse to show your face. Is that how you treat guests?"
