Chapter 519 The Rebellion Begins
Chapter 519 The Rebellion Begins
Nicholas, who was shouting the chants, became frightened when he saw Sylvia pointing the gun at
him.
Right when Sylvia was about to pull the trigger, Nicholas suddenly came to his senses and made a run
for it.
As he was already standing in the center of the crowd, he disappeared into the sea of people when he
turned around and ran away.
When Sylvia noticed this, she held back from shooting to avoid hurting the others.
In her desperation, she pointed the gun to the sky and opened fire.
With a loud bang, the civilians got so frightened that they fled in all directions.
Richard did not expect Sylvia to actually pull the trigger. He was also frightened. Sylvia's eyes were
definitely glowing with malevolence.
If it were not for Nicholas' quick reaction, he might have already been shot to death.
Nobody saw this coming. They assumed that Sylvia would not open fire.
They were too afraid to continue protesting. Everyone fled the scene, fearing that they might be the
ones to get shot if they continued staying at the scene.
It did not even take half a minute for the thousands of people to flee the scene.
Some had even fallen to the ground. They did whatever it took to run away, even if it meant crawling.
Sylvia did not run after them. Since Sylvia and the others were part of the army, it was not appropriate
for them to continue running after Nicholas. If news were to spread, it would definitely be controversial.
With the war coming, now was not the time to pursue this matter.
"Lord Caspian, Nicholas got away! I had planned to kill him!" Sylvia said when she got back into the
car.
"It's fine. There's no need to mind him," Caspian said calmly.
He was the Diatoran God of War. Killing such people would be a piece of cake. He could do it anytime.
His priority was to head down to the coastline of Southlake City. Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
…
Nicholas had been running frantically. Eventually, he entered an alley. He collapsed to the ground and
sat there, trying to catch his breath.
The crotch area of his pants was damp. He had been so frightened that he peed himself. He did not
notice earlier as he was busy escaping.
Richard finally caught up to him.
"Are you okay, Mr. Archer?" Richard asked.
"Fuck, I was scared as hell! I can't believe Sylvia actually opened fire! Thank God my reaction was fast.
"Otherwise, I'd be dead!" Nicholas said, still haunted by the fear he felt earlier.
"Yeah, dude! You're the son of the Archer family. Wouldn't everyone be thrown into a frenzy if she were
to shoot you in front of them??" Richard asked.
"Our family means nothing to them! They're from the military. You think they give a shit about us?"
Nicholas asked.
"Why are your pants wet?" Richard asked.
The damp area at Nicholas' crotch was really obvious and reeked of ammonia.
"Did you literally pee your pants, Mr. Archer?" Richard asked.
Nicholas felt ashamed. He did not know how to respond.
"Caspian and his people are too despicable. How could they abuse their power and attack us? I was
too scared to do anything," Nicholas cursed.
He felt utterly disgraced and humiliated.
"Does he really think that he can do whatever he wants?" Richard said through gritted teeth. He also
hated Caspian's guts.
"He's a prominent figure. We can't possibly compare with him. What choice do we have?
"If we don't teach that fucker a lesson, we'll never be able to hold our heads up high again. I won't have
this!" Nicholas said, feeling helpless.
"There must be a way. Since everyone hates him now, we can continue steering public opinion to our
advantage. When the time comes, all the people of Diatoran will be prejudiced against Caspian,"
Richard said fiercely.
"If we can really manipulate the people's opinion of Caspian, he might really lose his position. There's
no saying that the King wouldn't dismiss him. And when that time comes, we'll finally achieve our goal,"
Nicholas gritted his teeth and said.
"Has the King been blinded? Why did he make a loser like Caspian such a prominent figure?" Richard
whined.
They could not believe that he was a prominent figure.
"Forget it. I think we should just give up. It's not like we're his match," Nicholas wailed.
"We'll see. He might just lose the war this time. When he fails, he'll definitely become the most detested
man in the country.
"And when that time comes, everyone will surely want to tear him apart." Richard smirked.
"You're right. Once he loses, the King might even ask him to pay for his sins using his life." Nicholas
was suddenly hopeful again. Richard was right.
"That's right. We're looking forward to Diatoran's defeat. When that time comes, Caspian's reputation
will be ruined.
"Everyone's definitely going to shit on him! Let's see if he can still be cocky then," Richard said.
Suddenly, a man clad in a black shirt, sunglasses, and a mask walked into the alley.
"I see that the two of you hold a grudge against Caspian!" he said in a malicious tone.
Both men were startled by this man's sudden appearance.
"W-Who are you?" Richard asked in a fearful tone.
Nicholas wanted to know who this man was as well.
Since they had no idea who this man was, they would not foolishly admit that they had a grudge
against Caspian.
What if he turned out to be one of Caspian's men?
"Calm down, both of you. I'm not acquainted with him. I'm Kenzie from Vadesia.
"I want to kill Caspian as well," Kenzie said, peeling off the sunglasses and mask from his face.
Richard and Nicholas took a closer look at the man and realized that he did not look like a citizen of
Diatoran.
"Do you also have a grudge against Caspian?" Richard asked.
"Of course! Now that Vadesia has officially declared war on Diatoran, we must kill him. He's the chief
commander, after all!" Kenzie said bluntly.
In fact, he had been observing Richard and Nicholas from the shadows. He had overheard their
conversation.
It was obvious that both Richard and Nicholas were not fond of Caspian. These two were the perfect
candidates for instigating rebellion, which made him approach them.
Kenzie had already sneaked into Southlake City for some time. His duty this time was to dismantle
Diatoran little by little from within.
He had been waiting for the perfect opportunity.
Earlier, he had seen everything that happened on the street.
He had also noticed that the two had been fanning the flames.
Hence, Kenzie wanted to use these two to start a big movement in Southlake City. This way, they could
lay the foundation for whatever Vadesia had in plan for their next move.
