Chapter 53: Jealousy
Serena's POV:
"I thought you were never going to recognize me!"
"Well, it turns out we've both grown so much.You look good, Edward!"
I walked up to him and gave him a friendly hug.
"Seems like you haven't changed a bit,"

Someone made a coughing sound behind us.
It was Peter.

Alvin was the one who brought in a pot of burning coal to the middle of the hall.
"As long as it was made by magic, we will be able to track the creator of the concoction.I am interested to see who is behind this."
My uncle took the liquid and sprinkled it onto the coals, waving his hands.
The liquid sizzled onto the surface.
Different colored flames suddenly danced around the coals, resembling the polar lights.
After a while, the flames disappeared.
My uncle's expression was grave and serious.
"Well, you're just in time for dinner.I hope you haven't eaten yet! Let's continue catching up with each other in the dining hall."

"If what you say is right, then I'm afraid we're going to have to deal with more people than we expected."
Steve's voice was full of worry.
The anxiousness in the air was almost tangible.
"Don't worry about the investigation.I will personally go and find Alexander with Alvin," Peter announced, breaking the long silence.
"Good luck, boy.No one has ever seen Alexander.As for Serena, do not worry about her.Edward and I will stay behind and train her powers."
Peter's POV:
It was hard to admit, but I was jealous when I saw how close Serena and Edward were.Apparently, the two of them had known each other since childhood.Patricia even said that Edward was more handsome than I was.
