Barbara was about to say something, but Johnny's phone rang. He picked it up and said, "Hey, Grandma." Zelda on the other end said something, and Johnny nodded, replying, "Got it, Grandma."
After hanging up, he turned to Alina and asked, "Do you want to grab lunch together at noon?"
Barbara, standing beside Johnny, was surprised and asked, "Johnny, are you asking her out for lunch?"
Alina flicked her flowing hair and said, "Mr. Sutton, your way of hitting on someone is so cliché."
Johnny felt a bit upset upon hearing that. He wasn't hitting on her. It was Zelda who knew Alina had come to his company and insisted he invite her for lunch.
But he didn't mind that Alina turned him down. If Zelda asked, he could say he'd invited Alina, but she didn't want to go.
"I remember yesterday you seemed to have misunderstood me. I told you yesterday that if you found out in the end that I'm not the kind of person you thought I was, you'd owe me an apology." Facing Johrmy, Alina showed no sign of fear.
Everyone around was shocked by Alina's words. They couldn't imagine someone daring to make Johnny apologize. They were sure Alina must be crazy. No sane person would dare to be so bold.
Johnny knew he was wrong yesterday. After taking Laura back, he had the doctor check her, finding out that if Laura hadn't received timely treatment for her injury, she might have had to stay in the hospital for days. Laura hated hospitals the most.
"I truly appreciate your help yesterday, Ms. Chavez. I misunderstood you. I'm sorry."
Others were confused and shocked after hearing Johnny's apology. They couldn't believe Johnny had actually apologized. They all wondered who Alina really was.
"Your apology doesn't sound sincere at all. At least shed a few tears! You must apologize while crying!" Alina wasn't satisfied with the apology.
"You're out of line! Johnny, can't you see she's being a pain?" Barbara wanted to tear Alina's face apart.
Alina's pretty, sharp eyes locked onto Barbara. Alina's vibe was so much like Johnny's. It squeezed Barbara's heart tight.
"I forgot, you're his girlfriend, right? Okay, I can give you a chance. You could come and cry for apologies," she said with a
sneer.
A big-time star like Barbara couldn't do that. Barbara felt so wronged. "Johnny, she's pushing it, she's bullying me!"
"So what if I'm bullying you? Besides, if someone insults you, why not fire back yourself instead of relying on a man's help? Acting all weak and innocent here, like a silly little girl! I won't accept this apology! Mr. Sutton doesn't want to apologize sincerely, it's okay. We'll meet again, and I'll make you apologize Alina declared before striding into the company. Barbara's nails dug into her palms. Her face twisted in rage, but she held back her anger in front of Johnny.
"Johnny, I..." she began, but Johnny ignored her, walking straight into the nearby elevator, and continuing his work upstairs.
He had an important meeting being delayed because of Barbara's usual shenanigan.
Barbara hurried to catch up. "Johnny, wait..."
At 11 a.m., Danny stood at the entrance of the Sutton Group company.

He was here today to check out his mom's fiancé. According to George's information, Danny knew that Alina's fiancé worked there. Considering this man was going to be his stepdad, Danny needed to check him for Alina.
The company looked impressive at the gates. The décor was tasteful, something Danny liked. 'No wonder he could become my mom's fiancé. This company sure is impressive!' thought Danny.
He walked in and as he reached the front desk, a pretty lady stood up. "Hello, Mr. Drake."
Then a string of voices echoed. "Hello, Mr. Drake."
Upon suddenly hearing everyone use an unfamiliar name to address him, Danny couldn't help but furrow his brow, looking utterly puzzled. Mr. Drake? Who's Mr. Drake? Do these folks mistake me for someone else? This is getting weird!' thought Danny.
