I didn’t know what to say. I couldn’t find the right words to answer him. Will I agree or not? What should I do?

I could see in his eyes the expectation that I would answer ‘yes.’

I saw the scratch papers scattered on the floor and other coloring materials.

I had just fallen asleep but our room looked like it had been hit by a storm.

“You’re not going to work anymore dad?” Hivo asked Steven innocently.

They didn’t even notice that I was awake.

I could see how happy my son was while talking to his dad. I really love my son.

‘How about the father of your child, Ria? Do you love him too?’ It was like a demon asked me in my mind.

I blushed at the thought. I just shook my head.

“Daddy needs to work, son,”

“So when will I see you again?” Steven got nervous when he saw the tears that were about to fall in his son’s eyes.

“Everyday. Papa will visit you every day. Shh.. Don’t cry buddy. I thought you’re a big boy already?” Our son wiped away his tears and slowly nodded to his father. He’s such a crybaby now.

Hivo hugged his father. I wiped my tears away. My heart is full.

Steven looked at me. “Good morning babe,” he said and beckoned me to come to them.

“Good morning mom,”

“Good morning, baby.” I said.

“Mom, I’m okay. Let’s go home.” Hivo stood up and started to jump. It’s my first time seeing him like this. Only his father can give him this joy.

I smiled and approached him.

“Can I ask for a hug, my love?” I laughed when he hugged me tightly. I looked at Steven and I saw him happily looking at us.

“Mama misses her baby so much,”

“Mama, I’m not a baby anymore. I’m a big boy now.” He said with a frown like how his father frowned. They really looked alike.

I’ve been very nervous for the past few days. I just breathed a sigh of relief now, especially seeing my son’s enthusiasm. I have been praying almost every night that he will be fine.

“You’re not a baby? But mommy wants you to be my baby forever,”

“Okay fine. For you, even though I’m a big boy, I’ll be your baby forever.” I chuckled.

“How about dad?” Hivo looked at him and our son scratched his head which made me laugh.

“Okay dad. I’m your baby too.”

Steven laughed and took him from me.

I stood up to match them. Because Steven was so tall.

“Mommy has a surprise for you.”

My son frowned. Even Steven, he frowned too and my jaw dropped when I saw their face together. Wow! They really looked alike.

Did my son inherit something from me? Cause he really looked like his father and no sign of me.

“Why mom? It’s not my birthday today.”

“Yes but since you’re brave, mom has a gift for you.”

“What is it mom?”

“We are moving house. We will live together with daddy.”

After I said that, my son smiled widely and rejoiced in happiness. He even jumped while shouting ‘yeheyyy’.

And I saw Steven looking at me in shock and it seemed like, he did not expect me to agree right away.

“Really mom? Yeeeeeeey! Dad will be with us all the time.”

I’ve thought ’bout it. My son is happy with his father so why should I stop that? I’m sure there is a solution to my worries and I have thought of something to counter that.

The door opened and Hannah suddenly entered.

“Steven?” She said in her eyes wide opened. She couldn’t believe seeing her brother here with us.

“What are you doing here?” she asked but Steven just glared at her.

Hannah already knew the reason why her brother glaring at her so immediately ran back to the door.

“Hi Aunt Hannah,” Hivo ran to Hannah.

“Look. Papa is here,” my son said happily to his aunt.

“My handsome nephew is very happy. Are you happy that papa is here?” Hannah asked my son and my son nodded.

Steven walked towards me and hugged me. “Thank you for raising him, babe. Thank you for saying yes.” I smiled. Anything for my son.

I will do everything for him. He wanted to be with his dad so who am I to hinder?

“Ahem.” Hannah cleared her throat. I immediately let go of Steven’s hug because of Hannah.

Hannah raised her eyebrows at us while carrying our son. It seemed like she was teasing us but Steven glared at her again so she pretended to look away and chose to play with my son.

“Brother, I’m sorry.”

I was currently feeding Hivo while Hannah was nagging her sister to forgive her.

“Stop it Han. You’re a jerk.”

Hannah’s muzzle lengthened. When the brother, who was clearly enjoying what he was doing, still couldn’t agree, he immediately wrapped his hands around his older brother’s arms.

Hannah giggled and she filled my son’s cheeks to her kisses.

“Of course, my son is smart. He’s my little me after all,” Steven said proudly, full of love looking at his son who was laughing because he was tickled by what Hannah was doing.

I’m currently fixing Hivo’s stuff. I will pay the bills later. The doctor said he’s fine, so we can go home now.

“Where are you going?”

“I’m just going to ask for the bills so I could withdraw from the bank-
