I chose to stay next to them to monitor them especially that bitch.

I have also met some of her friends, Agatha and Angie. They are a bunch of pests. All of them are parasites.

Years have passed by, I’m always observing Steven from afar. I’m happy for him especially since he is in charge of their family’s business.

But I know that everything is risky until that b*tch and her son are alive.

Things didn’t go well. Dad got sick so I need to take over his business. I was in charge of his illegal businesses and the Casino while pretending to be friends with Ria and her squad.

As Hivo grows up, I see Steven in him. He looks exactly like his father.

It would perfect if I could be his mother. Steven will probably be happy. It’s not a bad idea also to replace Ria as Hivo’s mother. Why not? He will be happier with me.

“Hivo, my son,”

“Yes, aunt?”

“Baby, didn’t I tell you to call me mommy?”

I smiled at him. I want him to follow me. He should get used to calling me mommy because that’s where we going cause soon enough Ria will be dead for sure.

“But aunty, I only have one mommy. It’s my mommy Ria,”

The smile disappeared from my lips. I didn’t like his response to me.

“O Lia, you’re here,” I looked up and saw Divine with Angie.

“Ria is not here today because she has something to do,”

“Oh. I brought you rice porridge. It’s my specialty,” I said, smiling. I wish I put some poison on that.

“By the way, we have something to tell you,” Angie. Hmm.. What’s that?

“Do you know the bachelor who was featured in the magazine recently?” Angie asked.

“Bachelor? Who?” I asked confused. Don’t tell me that-

“Steven Marcus Alvante,”

Suddenly, my heart beats faster at what Angie said. I’m restless. I tried to calm down but I felt like I’m going to explode.

“W-What about him?” I stammered.

“Hivo exactly looked like him. Maybe the man who got Ria preganant was him.”

“I-I guess that’s impossible,” I drank water to hide the nervousness on my face.

“There’s nothing wrong if we show Ria that magazine. Let her recognize the face,”

No! I should stop them.

(BACK TO PRESENT)

RIA POV

“Are you ready, son?” I checked his lunchbox, tumbler, and his things to secure that everything was prepared.

While I was doing that, I saw Vios leaning against the door and looking at me with his arms crossed. I raised an eyebrow at him and immediately turned back to Hivo who’s now eating.

“Mom, can I go to school with Hivo?”

I looked at my daughter who’s holding bread and sausage in her hands.

“You can’t go to Hivo’s school yet, honey.”

“But mom-

“Princess, Hivo is going to school to study. You are not allowed there because you are still a baby,” Vios. He talked my daughter with me and they started to talk about the things that only of them can understand.

“Mom, you can eat now. I already checked my bag earlier except for the lunchbox,” I looked at Hivo. “And relax mom. I will be fine. With the amount of bodyguards you will send with me, I’m sure nothing bad will happen to me,” he said.

I let out a deep breath. I’m still nervous about what might happen. I don’t want anything bad happen to him.

“Okay, I’m sorry. I was just worried. ”

Hivo just smiled at me and continued eating.

After we ate, we took Hivo to his school.

“Please watch over my son? Don’t let him out of your sight,” I said to the boyguard.

“Yes ma’am. We will remember that,”

I nodded to them before turning to Hivo.

“Wow, Hivo’s school is beautiful and big,”

Stefanny said amazed by the school buildings in front of us. It’s not part of the plan to bring her here but she kept on nagging us earlier so we have no choice but to bring her also.

“When you grow up princess, you will also study here with me,” Hivo said to his sister and Stefanny was jumping because of joy.

“Okay son, go inside and you might be late. Just always remember-”

“Yes mom. Don’t talk to strangers.”

I smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

“Very good. Now go and have fun,”

He kissed my cheek and his sister’s cheek before saying goodbye.

“Bye Hivo!” Steffany is waving her hand to her brother as Hivo keeps on waving her too while running backward to go inside the school campus.

“Mommy,”

“Yes my darling?”

“Jobee. I want jobee!”

What? We just ate a while ago.

“Are you hungry? But we just ate before we leave,”

“Yes mom. I’m hungry,”

I chuckled and kissed her forehead. She’s so adorable. How can I say no to her?

“Let’s go. Let’s go to the jobee,”

“Yeeheey. Thank you mommy,”

We got into the car. I put her in the backseat and secured her seatbelt before I drove the car.

We are on our way home after our drive thru at Jobee. I called Vios to ask where he was.

“Thanks God you called me. I couldn’t contact you earlier. Anyway, go to the office right now,” he said.

“Why?”

“Someone wants to meet you,”

“Who is it?”

“Just come here and stop asking,”

“But Stefanny is with me today. Can I take her home first?”

“What? No, it’s fine. Just bring Stefanny here,”

I looked in the mirror and saw my daughter eating the fried chicken we bought.

Is it okay for me to take her in the office?

Well Vios said that it’s okay to bring her.

“Alright. I’ll be there in a minute,” I said and drove the car straight to the office.

When we arrived at the office, everyone was surprised that I had a child with me. It feels like a deja vu when I brought Hivo to Steven’s office years ago.

I don’t know who’s waiting for me but I guess it’s important.

When we entered the office, I was immediately greeted by a person I did not expect to see today.

“What are you doing here?” I asked in disbelief.

“Papa!” Stefanny ran to Vios when she saw him. I saw how Amanda was surprised to see my daughter ran to Vios.

“Do you want me to tour you here, princess?”

“Yes papa,”

“Alright, let’s go. ” Vios took Stefanny out of the office.

When I looked at Amanda again, I saw her lips parted, being confused to what she have witnessed. “I didn’t know that-” I cut her off.

“What are you doing here?”

“I’m here to ask for help,” she said in a serious voice.

Her face is too thick for me to ask for help.

“You’re not going to get any help from me Amanda. Go away,”

“Ria, please listen to me,”

I turned away and didn’t answer.

“Steven, he needs your help”

“Why don’t you help him instead? You’re married, aren’t you?”

“Ria, I know that I did a lot of bad things to you. But please help, Steven. He needs you and Hivo. He needs someone to hold onto now. He is losing hope,”

“What are you talking about?”

“I shouldn’t be the one to tell you this but Steven doing all of this for you and Hivo. He knew all along that you survived the accident. You don’t know what he went through just to protect you from afar. If you have time, please talk to him at his condo,” she said and left me full of questions in my mind.

Before Amanda could get away, I chased after her. I just want to know something. I want to confirm something.

“Amanda, wait a minute”

She stopped and turned to me. There is sadness in her eyes. She’s different from the Amanda I used to hate.

“Why? Why are you doing all this? Do you like Steven?”

“Ria, the child will do everything for the parent and the mother will risk her own life for her child,”

I was confused to her answer.

“I love Steven because he is my best friend since we were kids. But everything will change, and I have fallen for someone else.”

“Then why? Why did you do all that? For what reason?”

“Because… I have to do that, Ria. I have to do that even though it was wrong. I have to do that even though I know that I will hurt someone else. I will do everything for my child, Ria. I will do everything just to save my baby.”
