The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 551

Chapter 551

She wasn’t a fool. Emma knew that much. But what she couldn’t fathom was why this handsome and wealthy man, Hughes, would be interested in her. With her looks being rather average, her notably alluring figure was the only standout feature. It surely couldn’t be due to some elusive inner charm. No, at her age, she was far too practical to buy into such concepts.

However, with a swift movement, Emma took off her black jacket, revealing her smooth skin which immediately sent a rush of heat to Hughes’ cheeks.

In the tranquility of the lounge, Hughes carried her to the bed. Emma wrapped her arms around his neck and their lips met in a kiss. Neither of them were the inexperienced youths of their past; their mature and attractive bodies drew them irresistibly to each other.

Before long, they were lost in pleasure.

Two hours slipped away.

Emma began to pick up her clothes from the floor, getting dressed. Hughes asked, “Not staying the night?”

Glancing at her wristwatch, which read 10:30 PM, Emma replied, “I’ve got some important matters to take care of, Mr. Hughes. How about I come see you tomorrow?”

Hughes got up from the bed and pulled her into a deep kiss. His voice was husky. “The Blue Club. You can come over here anytime. Anytime you want to see me, come to my office. It’s exclusive to me.”

As Emma was leaving, she added, “I forgot to say, my name is Lauren. At work, it’s Emma.”

He responded with a single word, “Hughes.”

After Emma left, Hughes moved to the window, gazing out into the night. The air was filled with a decadent scent, mixed with the refreshing aroma of jasmine. This woman was truly interesting. She came off a bit stiff and conventional, and in bed, she was as innocent as a fledgling.

Emma drove all the way to Powell Estate. While waiting for the elevator, she caught sight of the trending discussions about Allison, most of which were too distasteful to read. Concerned for Allison, she quickly made her way to her apartment upon exiting the elevator.

Allison had given her a spare key, so Emma opened the door to find Allison seated on the couch. “Allison.”

“Emma, what brings you here?” Allison put down her phone. Her eyes were slightly red.

“I found Robbie,” Emma said as she approached.

Allison’s voice was hoarse. “Did you tell Patty?”

Emma shook her head. When it came to certain things, she and Allison seemed to be in sync, understanding each other without needing to exchange words. This time, pertaining to the issue with Robbie, they had kept it under wraps. Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

It wasn’t that Allison didn’t trust Patty. It was that Allison didn’t believe Patty would openly support her against Penelope. Penelope was still parading as the future heiress of the Flanagan family. Considering Patty’s longstanding position at Epic Entertainment, how could she openly confront Penelope? It was all about self-preservation.

Surely, Patty verbally offered her support and help, but it was all with Lucian in mind, and for the sake of her own standing in the entertainment industry, her position at Epic Entertainment.

Emma transferred the footage from the camera hidden in her clothing onto the computer.

Allison watched the video calmly, after which Emma said, “There’s also footage of Penelope with Robbie from that night, the one from the photos, but it hasn’t been sent over yet. With this video, and Robbie’s words, Penelope is going to take a fall. We can change the story about you online”

“Let’s hold on to these videos for now. We are not releasing them just yet.”

Emma nodded. “Understood.”
