The Billionaire's Regret

Chapter 197

Chapter 197

Ivy averted her gaze. “Ignore it. I can’t drag you into my mess for selfish reasons.” She was well aware that Wyatt would not believe a simple photograph. Wyatt was only furious right now because he hadn’t come to his senses. Ivy smiled as she averted her gaze. “Good night, Mr. Seely.” “Goodnight.” She returned to her room. She showered, changed into pajamas, and was summoned by her father for a video call with the rest of the family. Cooper needed to speak with Ivy about some business matters. The heaviness on Cooper’s brow remained unabated after they sorted it out. Sebastian appeared on the screen at that precise moment. “Are you really dating Marco Seely?!” yelled Sebastian. Ivy was well aware that Sebastian was the family gossip king. “No.” Sebastian breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s great. You can have a fling, but it should not be taken seriously. If you do, you’re a total loser.” Ivy was rendered speechless. “Sebastian has a point,” said Cooper. It was unusual for Cooper to agree with Sebastian. They were devastated to see Ivy in love because of her humility and caution when she was with Wyatt at the time. To them, there was no such thing as a person good enough for Ivy! Leo hung up on the iPad and called. He coughed slightly. “Forget about them. Ivy, you can spend yourwhomeverith whoever you want, rich or poor. Daddy isn’t going to mind. We can’t say we can’t afford it, right?” Ivy blinked and burst out laughing. “Yes, but I believe that making money is more important. After all, I can have as many men as I want if I have enough money!” Leo gave a solemn nod. “Right! I’m glad you can think like that.” All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

Ivy chuckled as she walked away and returned to her room to sleep. THE DAY AFTER. Wyatt’s preparations were meticulous. They could still travel together for the first half of the day because Marco was only leaving in the afternoon. Ivy could feel the romance in the air when they arrived in Venice. It was soft and warm to the touch. She didn’t have any complaints. There were no automobiles in the square. The entire place felt like it was still in the nineteenth century. Unbeknownst to him, Leo was walking alongside Marco. They were both deeply engaged in their conversation as they walked through the square. Pierce cheerfully gripped Ivy’s hand and refused to let go. This romantic trip with his lovely lady was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Wyatt was agitated by Ivy and Pierce holding hands, so Jimmy pushed him. Nonetheless, he tried to keep a warm and loving smile. In his heart, he felt Pierce was as irritating as Marco! Jimmy sped up his steps, concerned that Wyatt would miss out on some alone time with Ivy. While he was at it, he bought a colorful cotton candy that resembled a fluffy cloud and handed it to Wyatt. Wyatt looked at him with a cold expression on his face. “I don’t eat this,” he gritted his teeth. Jimmy froze for a split second. Because his mood was too complicated, his smile was unnatural and twisted. “It is your responsibility to give it to Ms. Morgan.” Jimmy suddenly realized why Wyatt needed outside help with his relationships. Wyatt would almost certainly fail if he relied solely on his abilities. However, if Wyatt continued in this pattern, Jimmy would be thrown into the Seine sooner or later! Wyatt grunted as he took it from Jimmy. Jimmy didn’t dare to mock him and hurriedly waved to Ivy. “Hello, Ms. Morgan!” Ivy spun around. Jimmy shoved Wyatt and ran over him. “Mr. Reed just saw this cotton candy and thinks you’ll enjoy it a lot. He knows that girls don’t like to eat, but he hopes that Ms. Morgan can be as sweet and

happy every day as this cotton candy!” Jimmy smiled brightly and lied without blinking. Ivy turned to face Wyatt, holding a cotton candy in his hand. His gaze was gentle and reflective. “So, how do you like it?” Ivy’s face was puzzled as she looked at Wyatt. ‘Cotton candy? This is not at all like Wyatt!’ Before she could react, Pierce dashed over from her side. “I like it!” Pierce took over the cotton candy and bit into it viciously as the crowd froze. “OMG! My baby teeth will fall out because it’s so sweet!” Pierce hid his little cheek behind his hand and ran angrily into Ivy’s arms. “Pretty Lady, my teeth are aching.” Wyatt was irritated, but he had to keep his cool and pretend to be gentle and kind. Ivy stroked Pierce’s soft curls. She was aware that Wyatt was acting, but she did not expose him. “In that case, don’t eat it.” Pierce shook his head. “Only kids eat candy. Whiner Mister, you’re such a stingy person. Pretty lady, if you want, I can make you a big gold cotton candy to look at every day!” In any case, Pierce was not as stingy as Mr. Wyatt Reed. Ivy was at a loss for words and quickly refused. “No. It doesn’t sit well with me.” No ordinary person could raise such a rogue young master. Ivy went to retrieve Pierce’s water bottle from his side bag. Wyatt smiled as he looked at Pierce’s small face. His tone was gentle as he purposefully teased him. “You like Ivy, right?” “What’s the big deal?” Pierce folded his hands in front of his chest like a small adult. “I must congratulate you then. Because your father and Ivy are together, you will be her son.” Pierce’s brow furrowed immediately. His twisted little face was twisted with surprise and rage. “What?!” His fists were clenched tightly together. Wyatt cocked his brow. “You still don’t know? Your father is pursuing her.” Marco walked towards them, holding the same colorful cotton candy, as his words fell.

Ivy turned around and was taken aback. ‘Why are so many people buying cotton candy?’ Marco approached them, looked at his son, and smiled softly at Ivy. “Ms. Morgan, I just noticed that the cotton candy Mr. Reed had planned to give you had been ruined by Pierce. I apologize on his behalf and hope that this makes up for it.” He handed Ivy the cotton candy he was holding. Wyatt’s eyes narrowed, but he showed no signs of aggression. On the contrary, Pierce, standing next to him, snatched the cotton candy from Marco. The youngster glared at his father. His face was flushed with rage. He was wary and alert. “Daddy, Pretty Lady isn’t a fan of cotton candy! Hmph!” Even though Pierce was only a child, he was a bright one! ‘Is Whiner Mister telling the truth?! Daddy is making the most of this opportunity to pursue my pretty lady! No! Pretty lady can only be mine! Even Daddy can’t take her away from me!’ Pierce glared at Marco before passing the cotton candy to Wyatt. “It’s for you.” He’d instead give it to Whiner Mister than his father. That was because he knew Whiner Mister did not like his pretty lady. Whiner Mister was simply not up to the task. Marco’s expression remained unchanged. He still had a gentle smile on his face, but he was stunned and doubtful when he looked into his son’s eyes. Pierce considered himself unlucky to have Whiner Mister as a love rival. He imagined that when he inherited his father’s estate, he would be able to be with his pretty lady in a dignified manner. ‘How come Daddy got involved?! Isn’t he aware that I like Pretty lady?’
