Chapter 2088
Last time Alaric fell ill, Thalassa couldn't help but notice something unusual between Lydia and Mr. Ethan.
At first, she didn't think much of it. Ethan and Alaric were close friends, and it was only natural for Ethan to be concerned. Besides, it was Thalassa who had suggested Ethan consult Lydia for Alaric's medical issues. Having Ethan and Lydia at Alaric's house seemed perfectly normal.
But now, what was going on?
Ethan and Lydia were together in the acupuncture room, Ethan shirtless, allowing Lydia to insert acupuncture needles into his back. Lydia, with professional ease, wielded the needles without any sign of discomfort.
Their relationship appeared to be anything but ordinary.
Lydia, embarrassed by Thalassa's probing, blushed and awkwardly said, "What could possibly be going on between us? He wasn't feeling well and came to me for treatment."
Thalassa noticed the blush on Lydia's face and the meaningful smile that followed, but she didn't push further.
Perhaps Lydia wasn't ready to talk, and Thalassa respected that.
"Come on, spill the beans. Have you and Mr. Sinclair made it official?" Lydia inquired, genuinely concerned.
"We've signed the papers. I came here today to share the good news with my aunt," Thalassa replied openly. "Really? That's wonderful, congratulations!" Lydia exclaimed, sincerely happy for her friend.
Her eyes then caught the sparkle of the diamond ring on Thalassa's finger, large and luminous, impossible to miss.
Even without being told, Lydia knew the ring was a gift from Lysander.
The normally reserved Lydia couldn't resist teasing, "That diamond is nearly blinding me. Lysander's choice, I presume?" With that, she playfully nudged Thalassa's shoulder.
Thalassa, slightly embarrassed by the tease, replied, "You know it is."
Happiness radiated from her smile.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
Meanwhile, Ethan, standing shirtless and covered in acupuncture needles, felt awkward in front of Lysander. "L got sick and came here for a doctor, only to find a quack. Look at what she's done to me," he said, attempting to salvage some dignity by blaming Lydia for the

uncomfortable situation.
Hearing Ethan's remark, the usually calm Lydia stormed into the room, demanding, "What did you just say? Who are you calling a quack?"
Ethan, faced with Lydia's fury, sheepishly looked away.
Lysander, sensing the tension, suggested they leave, "Let's not disturb them further." He guided Thalassa out of Dr. Funke's office, hinting it was time to leave to avoid becoming unwanted intruders in Lydia and Ethan's affair.
Thalassa hesitated for a moment; her original plan was to have Lysander's leg checked for any lingering issues. But with Dr. Funke absent and her aunt not around staying would only make them third wheels to whatever was unfolding between Lydia and Ethan,
With that thought, Thalassa got into the car.
Left alone with Lydia, Ethan initially cowered but then, bolstering his courage, defiantly declared, "I called you a quack, so what? If the shoe fits! Are you going to deny it?"
Lydia, infuriated, clenched her fist, ready to strike.
