Chapter 89
CHAPTER EIGHTY NINE. "Welcome sir" the police commissioner greeted as Damian and Rubby entered his office but they both ignored him as they sat down. "What brings you here sir?" He asked again, he felt intimidated by the way the two men were looking at him. "What happened to Jenni and Gwen Wilson, they both got life imprisonment and now Jennie Is out?" Damian asked in an authoritative voice.
"Well actually sir, we have been on that case for years now".
"Years?" Rubby asked in confusion. "Ten years ago there was a fire in the prison, a lot of people escaped and we lost a few. She was among those who escaped and Gwen lost her life in the fire" Damian gritted his teeth in anger as he glared at the commissioner, "And you didn't deem it fit to inform me right? Now she is back and she abducted my daughters" "I am really sorry sir, we will continue looking into the case" he replied in a serious tone. "You better come up with a good explanation because I will sue you for incompetence if my daughters are not found"he growled angrily, his eyes still peering into the police. "Sir, you and your team should immediately do something about it," Rubby added before they left. As they boarded the car, Damian was hesitant in turning on the ignition. He didn't want to go home and see his wife in tears, it always broke his heart and there was hardly anything he could do in this situation.
"Sir, why did she not attack all this years?" Rubby asked, cutting into his train of thoughts. "She was just waiting for the perfect time Rubby, but don't worry, Cody is my daughter too and I won't allow anything to happen to either of them. "We shouldn't underestimate that woman, from the way she was talking I have reasons to believe she is more ruthless than ever". "Don't worry Rubby, I won't allow any of them to suffer" he replied and zoomed off.
Teresa kept pacing up and down the room, she was visibly worried about her sister and Cody but there was little or nothing she could do and could only hope and pray for their safety, but what she didn't understand is why Jennie would wait until now to strike and take revenge on them. Her thoughts were interrupted when she felt a pair of hands envelope her in an embrace and she immediately knew who it was.

"I am just restless Ethan, what if she does something to them. From what mum said, she isn't someone to mess with" she replied dejectedly and his heart broke seeing her like this, he wanted to take away her pain and make her smile always but how?..
"We are five men in the house Terry, we can handle that woman. Just don't worry or you might fall sick and I wouldn't want that".
She sighed softly still in his embrace, "I just don't like seeing mum like this" she muttered.
He wanted to reply when his phone began to ring and he picked it.
"Hello".

"Ethan, why did you refuse to come for dinner?" His mom asked from the other end. "I told him to tell you I am a busy mum, something urgent came up and I can't make it" he said into the receiver.
"Is that your mum?" Teresa asked and he nodded. "You should go, it's been a while since you went to see her" she said and he sighed. "Okay mum, I will be home". "Bring your fiance with you" she said from the other end. "It's not a good time mum" he replied and quickly cut the call. "What did she say?".
He moved closer to her and encircled her waist again," she wanted me to bring you along.
"That would be next time Ethan, now is not a good time"
"I know baby, i already told her" he replied before kissing her forehead.
"Everything is just fucked up Ethan" she added leaning into his embrace.
"It's okay".
"You should prepare and go home, extend my greetings to your mother in law. I will visit her once all this is sorted out". He slowly disengaged from her as he cupped her face in his palm, "I told you right?I will handle it, just don't worry and try not to fall sick okay?" He asked in a concerned tone and She nodded. She had always been close to Cody and Amy more than anyone and not having them here was something she couldn't handle. She was just praying silently in his embrace that both of them are fine when they are found.
It was already dinner time before he entered the house, he loved his mum but he was reluctant in leaving Terry alone but since he already promised her, he just had to come. CHAPTER EIGHTY NINE.
"Right on time," his mum said the moment he entered the dining room. "I know you have a reason for calling me here mum, what is it?" He replied sitting down beside her.
"How is your fiance?" She asked back, a mischievous glint dancing around her eyes. He wanted to reply when his mum's assistant entered the dining room. "Young master" he bowed respectfully and he nodded to him without answering. "What is it?". "There is an emergency at the warehouse and it requires your presence". "Can't you see I am having dinner with my son?" She asked, smiling through gritted teeth. "Sorry ma'am" he bowed and made to walk out but Ethan stopped him. "Greg, I will go and handle the issue for mum" "Don't worry about it son, it's not important" she quickly chipped in, how could she allow him to go to the warehouse. "Are you sure?". "Yes, Greg you may go". He bowed respectfully before walking out as she turned back to Ethan. "Why don't you tell me about your fiance, I haven't seen her since you became official He sipped his drink before dropping it," you guys will meet sooner or later, alot is going on now and it's not a good time". "Oh I see" she added and continued with her food but a smirk appeared on her face, if only her son saw it.
