Chapter Twenty One

I thought about it for a while before I called Tracy that night, we talked for a while before I told her what

I thought would be the right thing for us to do.

I suddenly started feeling nervous when I was about to ask her, so I asked her if I can see the kids

tomorrow instead, she declined then I asked if I can see them on Sunday, she said she'd think about it,

by then I've mustered enough courage to tell her what I thought.

"There is something else I'd like to request for, once again I'm thankful for everything you've done for

our kids, I appreciate you, but I'd like that I and my kids are closer, you said it earlier that they asked of

their father, that's why I thought if we all live together they would grow used to me, what I'm trying to

"Are you still there?" I asked to see if she hung up

"You are pushing your luck, sir." She said and she hung up, I was very pissed and disappointed that I

threw my phone on the bed, it bounced and stayed at the edge, almost falling.

I knew Tracy won't make it easy for me, but then I'm ready to keep trying.

Unlike the night before I slept well and I dreamt about two pretty angels and their beautiful mother, the

dream was mocking me, because in it we were a happy family.

I woke up the next morning pumped, I took my bath, dressed for work and I went to work early, Tracy

was there already but it looked like she just arrived, and man she was looking hot, hotter than the first

time I saw her after six years, I didn't know what changed but I like it.

"Good morning Sir." She greeted and I rolled my eyes, I didn't let her take my briefcase, I dropped it on

the table and turned to reply to her.

"Good morning my love," I replied and she frowned

"Please don't do that, have breakfast first but there are a lot of things you have to do today." She said

placing a sandwich in front of me with a latte, she tried to leave but I didn't let her, I held her and she

struggled to remove her hand from mine, I stood up and turned to face her, I pulled her close by her

waist and she looked into my eyes shocked, just like I wanted her too.

"Let go of me!"

"Why should I?" I asked

"Why shouldn't you?"

"I do what I like, we are at work and I'm the boss."

"Seriously?"

"Listen to me sweetheart, don't try to leave, but if you still want to, it's okay, I'd just clear the table, lay

you on it and make sure you are unable to walk away from me for the next few hours," I whispered in

her ear, I left her alone and started on my breakfast, I looked at her and her face was still upturned, her

mouth slightly opened, I almost choked on my sandwich.

It took few minutes for her to compose herself and when she did, she didn't walk away like she was

trying to earlier, she sat down in front of me instead.

Good thing she took my threat seriously because I was planning on carrying it out.

I ate breakfast while she read my schedule out to me, I had a lot to do but I wanted to try my luck with

the kids hoping Tracy would change her mind about me seeing them today.

"When am I having the meetings again?" I asked

"You have a meeting by 10 am to 11 am, 1 pm to 2 pm."

"Hmm, so most of what I have to do today is going through documents?"

"Yes sir." She replied

"Tracy don't call me sir, call me daddy," I said flashing her a charming smile but she rolled her eyes

"Behave yourself."

"Okay ma'am, please tell them to make the meetings 30 mins each, and help me pack up the

documents I'm supposed to go through, I'd do that at home."

"Okay."

"Where are our kids?" I asked

"Sorry?"

"I said where are our kids?, Let's go pick them up and go have fun."

"Alex, keep your voice down, and I told you, you can't see them today."

"Why not?"

"They are at my parent's."

"So?, That is even better, I'd get to apologize to your parents for what I did six years ago."

"No, I refuse." She said folding her arms against her chest."

"You know I know the way to their place right?, I can go there by myself," I said and she glared at me,

she said something under her breath then she turned to glare at me again

"I'd bring the kids to your place, and we are spending just two hours, you can't see them tomorrow if

you see them today."

"Don't worry, I'd be neck-deep in those documents tomorrow."

"Okay then."

We finished everything we were supposed to do at the office and we left the office by 2:30 pm, I

dropped by the store and I bought swimming floaters for the kids and I bought clothes for the four of us,

a simple T-shirt and trousers, I had to guess their trouser sizes and I hoped they would fit, I bought

swimming attires for them too.

When I got home, I changed into casual and I prepared everything we'd be needing, I cut the fruits at

home into smaller pieces and put them in the fridge, I brought out snacks too.

By the time the security guards opened the pool and checked it, Tracy and the children were already

around.

"Hello," I said waving at the kids

"Hii!" They replied waving

"What's your name?" Michelle asked and I looked at Tracy, she looked away.

"Just calling me Dee," I said and she smiled

"Thank you for the toys, Dee," Micheal said

"Yes thank you, we love them so much," Michelle added and I couldn't resist smiling

"Glad you love them, we are doing something fun today, we are swimming, well I am, I got you guys

swimming floaters."

"Really?" They asked excitedly

"Yes really, now go grab that bag, let mummy help you change into your swimming attire," I said

pointing at the bag on the sofa and they hurried there

Tracy wanted to follow but I held her hand.

"Let go of me."

"Why?" I asked

"Because we are at home and I am the boss." She replied trying to use my words against me.

"Wrong, you are in my house, and anything can still happen," I replied.

"Mummmm!" One of the twins called and she removed her hand from mine, leaving me smiling.
