The CEO’S Secret Mistress

On the evening of Blaine’s wedding, Mavis awoke to the sound of people marching up and down the house. Luke, Lisa, and Amy still chose to sleep in her room that night as well so they also heard the noise and got up.

” What the hell is happening?” Luke asked as he sat up on the bed. Just then the door opened and Mavis cursed inwardly because “what if she was naked and trying to get dressed?” She wondered. It was just so annoying to her that they can’t even lock their own doors. Suddenly she hated technology in entirety, especially smart doors!

” Hello. I’m sorry to bother you but I need to check your wound and disinfect it.” Luke’s nurse said as she entered the room.

” Okay but what’s with all that noise and when can we shut our doors”

” I’m sorry but Mr. H is in control of all the doors in the house.” She responded to Amy who had asked the question. Then she set out her things and started to tend to Luke who looked very angry.

” What’s the point of this? Can’t he just let us go somewhere else? This is ridiculous” Amy was saying but Mavis noticed that the lady didn’t answer their question about why there is so much noise in the house.

” You didn’t answer her question on why there is so much noise coming from the house ” Mavis pointed out as the nurse tended to Luke’s wound.

” Oh. His son Miguel or rather Blaine is moving to his other residency with his new wife and his ex-wife. I believe you will also be joining them too while your companions remain here.”

” Excuse me?”

” It’s just what I heard.”

” Is this some kind of joke? I’m most definitely NOT going to live with Blaine or his stupid wives!” Mavis lashed out and then she got up from the bed, completely tired of all the oppression she was facing.

” Woah Mavis where are you going?” Lisa asked.

” To go find that old man and give him a piece of my mind.”

” Please sit down. It’s bad enough that we lost Darla because of all of this, I can’t lose you too”

“- Mavis that man can have you killed in an instant. Blaine was the only reason he didn’t do so. I know you’re angry, we all are but this is not going to do you any good. Trust me.”

” So what you’re saying is that I should just sit down and allow Blaine’s father to control us like puppets?”

” It’s either that or we die. ”

” Look, we need to remain alive first then we can put our heads together and think of something to do to get ourselves out of this situation,” Amy whispered.

” This is just the life we get to live and it’s all thanks to that punk Blaine ” Lisa muttered.

After the nurse finished treating Luke she left silently.

” I don’t like that nurse. She gives me this icky feeling and I suspect she’s spying on us. When next she comes to treat Luke we should all be silent.” Mavis said and they all nodded in agreement, all except Luke.

” Luke, what’s wrong?” Mavis asked but Luke said nothing. He just proceeded to rest his head on the bed. That was when señora Maria came in.

” Good evening.” She said in English and when she read the room, she exhaled and continued as though she was reciting each word, ” I know you are not happy because of what happens here, but I have some bad news. You all have to go to your separate rooms here while will be moving with those of us assigned to Master Miguel’s new residence so.. Mavis please come with me. ”

” That’s the bad news? Wheew, I thought it was something so drastic.” Lisa said placing her hand on her chest but then she stopped and looked at the woman who looked so uncomfortable.

” But I can’t stay without my sister.” She added after she finally realized that it was still bad news regardless.

” I don’t have a say in this do I?”

” You can bring one person with you. Your brother and friend will stay but just… just today. The boss didn’t tell me this but I believe he has something to say to them.” She explained and Mavis sighed.

” Señora Maria! Where’s the boss’s mistress? We’re about to leave.” A man yelled from down the stairs but Mavis didn’t understand because he said it in Spanish.

” She’s coming!”

” Lisa come with me. Let’s go” Mavis said before she hugged Luke and Amy. She wanted to say to them that they shouldn’t pull a ” Luke and Darla 2. 0 ” since it’s just them left but she decided against it feeling like both of them would feel offended by it and besides they will be sleeping in separate rooms.

Lisa hugged Amy and Luke too before she followed Mavis and señora Maria to Blaine’s residence. Mavis thought to herself that she would just mind her business there but she had no idea that it would be an impossible mission.
