Chapter 1178
Chapter 1178
Agent A was in paleness and flushes.
"Maybe your brother has his set of troubles. If you weren't constantly at odds with him, why would he
be so guarded around you, unwilling to face you openly?"
Skyler spoke with a straight face, "I'm not opposing him. I walk the path of righteousness, and he
skulks in the shadows. Good and evil can never coexist."
The light of righteousness shone upon the earth.
Agent A was speechless. "What's right and wrong? Five thousand years of human history haven't
clarified these questions. It's all about the victors and the vanquished."
"Harming your flesh and blood and your brother is wrong," Skyler declared.
Agent A snorted. "Ancient monarchs killed their wives, children, and fathers. Brother turned against
brother, and yet they're still praised through the ages. History is written by the victors."
Skyler blinked, "Raines, why do you always take Geoffrey's side? He's the one who poisoned you. Do
you condone his actions?"
Agent A gave him an exasperated look.
"Don't think I'm unaware. Geoffrey was just the fall guy, taking the heat for Fredric and Leopold. The
ones who poisoned me were them."
Skyler puffed up his cheeks. "That's too much. Fredric and Leopold have been so good to you, even
working on an antidote, and you suspect them? That's like biting the hand that feeds you. I'm going to
tell them not to bother with the antidote anymore."
Agent A was fuming. "You're just here to rile me up, aren't you?"
Skyler leaned in close with a mischievous grin. "I came to check on you and shoot the breeze. You're
starting to act just like Geoffrey, quick to anger."
Agent A felt uncomfortable under his gaze. "I'm going to sleep. I don't want to deal with you anymore.
Just go."
Skyler pulled a face. "You've been poisoned for days now, how come the antidote isn't ready? When I
get back, I'll hurry them along. If you don't get that antidote in two weeks, you'll be paralyzed for good."
He turned and walked out, leaving Agent A with a seething heart.
Leopold came home early today, playing baseball with the kids in the yard.
Seeing William and Leopold enjoying themselves, Aurelia took the opportunity to pull William aside
during a break.
"William, are you having fun with Leopold?"
"It's okay, I guess. Uncle Leopold can't play baseball as well as Dad." William shrugged. Arnold had
been overseas filming and wouldn't be back until next month, so William was spending his winter break
at the Stirling Mansion.
William quickly covered her mouth, "Mommy, keep it down. Don't let others hear you. The Stirling
Mansion is full of people."
Aurelia held his hand. "One day, you'll have to accept him as your father."

deal with.
William pouted, "Mommy, why are you bringing this up again? Didn't we agree that I would decide?"

His string of questions carried a hint of accusation. "Don't forget our lives were saved by Dad."
