"Skyler," he said, "you're the only one I've kept this from. I trust you with everything else, but I just can't

Geoffrey's always prancing around in that mask of his because he can't bear to show his face, right?

"William, it just hit me like a ton of bricks. I've never seen your actual face. We're best buds, and I've

William was anxious. "Skyler, I'm not trying to lie to you, but I can't let anyone see my face." he said.
"You don't believe me." Skyler became a little agitated. He was genuinely upset.
Geoffrey lied to him even, even his beloved William lied to him.
William was bitter inside. The last thing he wanted was to lose Skyler as his friend.
"I can show you my face, but you gotta swear it stays between us. No blabbing to anyone else."
Skyler immediately raised his hand as if taking an oath, "Cross my heart, not a word to anyone."
William slowly removed his mask.
Skyler was stunned into silence at the sight. "You look just like Kane?" he asked in disbelief.
"Yes," William nodded.
"No wonder you've been hiding behind a mask," Skyler exhaled, his mind racing. He clapped a hand
over his mouth, eyes wide, "Don’t tell me you're Kane's identical twin brother?"
William nodded again, "Yep."
Skyler was floored, "So your real dad is Leopold, not Arnold."
"Yep," William shrugged, "I mean, sure, but I only got love for Arnold."
Skyler held his forehead, processing the revelation, "So you wear the mask because you're worried
Leopold would recognize you?"
"Yep." William put his mask back on, "This is my one big secret. If this gets out, I'm toast."
Skyler wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead, "Kane knows about this, right?"
"Yep."
"Have you guys ever, like, switched places?"
"Yep."
Skyler scratched his head, confused, "Leopold's a good guy. Why don't you like him? I dig him a lot."
"It's 'cause I already have a dad," William explained, "A guy's only supposed to have one dad, not two."
Skyler scratched his head again, "Doesn't have to be that way, William. You know, lots of families split
up, and kids end up with step-parents. You're luckier than most, living with your real mom and dad. If

"You worried that if you accept Leopold, Arnold will get upset?" Skyler asked, patting William's
