"Haven't you mentioned me to your cousin?" Ronan leaned against the headboard, asking Cordelia.

"We're bound to part ways, not much to talk about," Cordelia said with her eyes closed.

She decided to retract all her feelings for him and keep her distance until their agreement ended.

"So, you're a bit smug because she mistook Jamie for your husband?"

Cordelia didn't respond. She got up, dressed, and went to prepare breakfast.

Ronan noticed a hickey on her neck, which she covered up with a turtleneck sweater. He also got

dressed and got ready for breakfast.

The breakfast at Cordelia's house wasn't as rich as at Ronan's. Judy bought a breakfast of cornbread,

pasta, and eggs.

When Ronan was around, Judy would cautiously say, "Mr. Evans, hope you don't mind."

"No worries," Ronan responded.

Cordelia didn't eat any eggs that morning. Because if she did, he would eat the yolk for her, which

"Brooklyn said, you love sleeping." Ronan suddenly laughed.

Cordelia was taken aback, Brooklyn? So he chatted with her mother last night and knew about

Halloween? No wonder he was so nice today! Last night he nearly scared Cordelia to death.

"Yes, I do love sleeping!" Cordelia replied.

"Don't sleep too much, though. Sleeping with one person is enough," Ronan teased.

Cordelia thought, “How can he relate everything to sex?” She loved sleeping, but that didn't mean she

loved sleeping with men.

After getting out of the car, Cordelia walked straight ahead, and then Ronan got out. They each headed

towards the company.

Just as Samantha was coming from the other side, she thought, “Why is Cordelia getting out of

Ronan's car?

She's married now, so why is she still involved with Ronan? Is it because of Jamie's behavior, she

wants to find someone to get back at him? Also, they walked separately, and it seemed like they didn't
