The Contracted Ever After (Cordelia and Ronan)

Chapter 300

Chapter 300

Today, Samantha headed to the set of The High Society.

Yesterday, she had snatched a ring from her grandmother that belonged to Cordelia, warning the old

woman to keep mum about it or face the consequences. The old woman was helpless, penniless, and

on her last leg. She had no choice but to comply.

The ring fit Samantha's finger perfectly.

This ring, despite its unassuming appearance and vintage charm, had a remarkable effect when worn.

It seemed to make the person who wore it radiate with a magical glow.

Samantha had seen many TV dramas and novels featuring the swapping of real and fake heiresses

and stories of wealthy families abandoning their children. Although she was reluctant to admit it,

Cordelia was indeed exceptionally elegant, tall, and appeared quite aristocratic. She must come from a

noble family.

Now the ring was on Samantha's finger, making Samantha the one with the noble birth.

Samantha gave a triumphant grin. She even told Sienna to play along. It would be hard for Sienna to

admit she had adopted her daughter, but poverty had made her desperate. If there was a chance to

gain wealth, she was willing to take it.

As for Ronald, he was a silent type, not worth her concern.

Today, Samantha wore the ring to the filming set and kept it on during the shoot. She didn’t know where

Cordelia’s birth mother was, but the more people saw the ring, the higher the chance of finding

Cordelia’s wealthy mother.

Thinking back to the way Cordelia and Ronan visiting her house together yesterday, Samantha felt a

surge of anger.

It seemed that the conflict between Cordelia and Ronan was gradually being resolved.

This was something Samantha would never tolerate. She couldn’t stand Cordelia having a better life

than her. She would rather have Cordelia and Deanna at each other's throats, so she could focus on

her role in The High Society, and network with renowned directors and producers. If Cordelia's birth

mother recognized her, her life would be set.

Yesterday, she posted a status on Facebook: "Cousin and her hubby visited our humble abode. They

say you should never air your dirty laundry in public, alas..."

While she seemed to lament about her own family woes, she was actually hinting to Deanna: Cordelia Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

and Ronan were now an item.

Cordelia had forgotten her mom’s hatred.

As expected, soon after she finished shooting this morning, Deanna called. "Cordelia and Ronan

visited you?" Every time Deanna spoke to Samantha, her tone was just like that of questioning a

servant.

"Yeah, they might be together, but clearly, Cordelia isn't willing to let go of what happened with my aunt.

Maybe Ronan is sticking around because Cordelia is pregnant, but she’s been quite unhappy. Their

relationship seems irreparable," Samantha informed her.

"Cordelia is unhappy?"

"Yes, she's been cold towards Ronan. My parents fought in front of them, which was embarrassing.

They soon left." Samantha added, feigning a sigh.

Deanna hung up before Samantha could finish.

Samantha's intention was clear. She wanted Deanna to know there were cracks in Cordelia and

Ronan's relationship, and Cordelia wasn't happy being with him. As long as Deanna targeted someone,

that was all Samantha cared about.

After the call, Deanna pondered how to sow discord between Cordelia and Ronan.

At noon, she made a reservation at Bistro Belle. A producer had arranged a meeting for her with

several directors and investors.
