Cordelia stood at the front door, a heavy burden weighing on her heart. She knocked lightly on the Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

door.

"Come in," a voice from inside beckoned.

As Cordelia entered, she was greeted by a woman of striking beauty and elegance. Upon seeing

Cordelia, the woman's eyes instantly welled up with tears. "Are you... Della?"

Caught off guard, Cordelia nodded slowly.

"Della, my dear, I've finally found you," the woman, now identified as Allison, said, reaching out to grip

Cordelia's arm. "All these years without you by my side, you must have suffered."

Allison appeared to be overwhelmed with emotion at the sight of Cordelia. But Cordelia... didn't share

the same level of excitement. She felt detached, as if her heart was untouched by the reunion.

"Cordelia, it was wrong of me to give you away all those years ago," she began, her voice trembling.

"Alana was a force to be reckoned with back then. I feared for your safety, so I had no choice but to

hand you over to a construction worker. But I never intended to abandon you. I gave you a ring. I had

one just like it. Alana took it from me, because that ring was originally hers, but that's okay. Even

without it, I found you, thanks to Alana’s vendetta against you, ironically. Sadly, Shelley has passed

away," Allison's voice was filled with sorrow. "Did she treat you well all these years?"

"Shelley was more than good to me." Cordelia's eyes welled up at the mention of Shelley.

"Yes, I know, I know," Allison said, squeezing Cordelia's shoulders. "Shelley's death was untimely and

tragic. I used some contacts to get the police reports after her death. Have a look, is this how it

happened?"

With that, Allison handed Cordelia a piece of paper. Cordelia was initially perplexed by the document.

Until now, she had no idea how Ronan had managed to explain Shelley's death to the police.

The police report stated that Shelley had gone to look at a house for her son when she ran into Olen,

who was also interested in the property. Due to a misunderstanding caused by Shayla, Olen had

always associated the house with her.

Misled by Kendra, Olen was under the impression that Shelley was Shayla. When Shelley was in

Shayla's house, Olen was convinced that she was his enemy.

Shelley's thought process was as follows, Olen, being Cordelia's future father-in-law, was mentally

unstable and was bound to cause Cordelia trouble. Since he perceived her as his enemy, she decided

to provoke him into losing control. The window had no glass installed, so she planned to make him fall

out of it.

Shelley kept provoking Olen until he lost his mind. Unfortunately, her plan backfired. Instead of Olen

falling out the window, she did...

Cordelia noticed the police station's stamp and the detective's signature at the end of the report. The

confession couldn't be fake.

Ronan had framed Shelley to absolve Olen. He was so despicable!

"Where did you get this?" Cordelia asked, her voice choked with tears. She wiped her tears away.

"I have some friends at the police station. They made a copy for me."

"Thank you. I need to go now." With that, Cordelia left.

Cordelia spent a long time at a local coffee shop, crying. She wanted to know how Ronan could treat

his family so cruelly! Ronan was tarnishing Shelley's reputation, treating her unfairly just because she

was dead!

In the past, she had chosen to forgive Ronan time and time again, choosing to stay with him. But now,

how could Cordelia possibly stay with him?

As for Callum, she would consider him a gift to Ronan!
