The Cursed Wolf’s Love

Want to do it willingly

Adolphus motioned his hand in the air, gesturing for the servant to leave. He saw Iris’ nose and cheeks were red because she cried profusely after he raised his voice at her.

“Take a seat,” Adolphus said.

Iris stepped up and sat on the vintage-style sofa chair on the left of the couch. Adolphus picked up the jar and filled the glass with water. He rose to his feet and handed it to Iris. She first refused, but on his insistence, she took the water glass from him.

However, she didn’t drink water from it. Adolphus told her to drink the water. Iris brought the glass to her lips and drank the water. She put it down on the table before her.

“Why did the Master call me? Does he want me to strip for him? As a slave, I must do that, right? Else, I may lose my life,” Iris stated. It amused Adolphus that she wasn’t a bit scared of him. Also, it irked him that she again took the wrong meaning of his words.

“If I have to strip any woman, then it will never be you,” Adolphus pronounced, “unless you want to do it willingly for me.”

Iris lifted her eyelids, and their eyes met for a brief moment.

“On the very first day, I have cleared one thing to you: Look at me while I am talking to you,” Adolphus reminded her.

“Slaves cannot look into their master’s eyes,” Iris firmly said. She didn’t fear him anymore. If he killed her, it would be better because she didn’t need to have such a tough life. At least she would be free in the afterlife.

“And they can move their tongues sharply, right?” Adolphus questioned her. “I do not know why I am so patient with you. If there had been any other person in your place, then it would have been the end of that person,” he stated.

Iris stated, “Master Adolphus can kill me for talking back to him.”

Adolphus chuckled and walked up to her. He pulled her up while his calloused fingers rested under her chin. He slightly raised it and made her look into his eyes.

“Did you ever talk this way in front of your family?” He inquired.

“Why does Master Adolphus want to know that?” Instead of answering, she asked a question of him.

“Because it’s strange that you don’t fear me. I am the Alpha of Arcaria Kingdom. People tremble upon hearing my name, let alone speaking to me or looking at me. While you do the opposite. Since the very first day, you have been very different toward me. That made my interest grow in you,” Adolphus said. His voice had turned calmer and gentler. He wasn’t angry at her anymore.

“I don’t even glance at women. Do you think I lack women’s attention? For some reason, I got attracted to you in the clothing washhouse,” he stated. His eyes lingered all over her face, trying to read every single expression of hers.

Iris blinked and sniffled because of the intense weeping.

“I never apologized to anyone in my life because I never made mistakes. However, I would like to apologize to you. Forgive me for making you feel that way.” Adolphus let go of her chin and stepped back.

“Forgive me, for saying those words. I must be out of my mind. I will be careful of my words from now on,” Iris said, and bowed.

“I am a werewolf, Iris. Unlike humans, I get easily aroused. It happened to me when I was with you. Standing close to you, I did something strange to my mind and my body,” Adolphus explained to her the reason behind the act he did.

“As you know that I am cursed and can’t get the scent, so I never felt my mate’s presence. I don’t even feel attracted to other females. However, for some reason, you broke that wall inside me. I never experienced this,” he stated.

Iris felt guilty for talking that way to Adolphus. He didn’t harass her. It was she who was scared that he would do something more. She again apologized to him and told him that she would stay away from him.

“Why would you stay away?” Adolphus inquired.

“So that Master Adolphus will not feel that way anymore,” she stated. “Also, earlier, he said that he didn’t want to see me. He told me that he didn’t want to see my face,” she reminded him.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

“It won’t happen again. Don’t take my words to heart. I was furious when you said that I harassed you. I can’t even imagine doing anything odd with you,” Adolphus said, with a concerned voice.

“I am going for lunch with my family. You don’t need to follow me today,” Adolphus said.

“Yes, Master Adolphus,” Iris said. “Forgive me for arguing with His Royal Highness. I must know my place,” she said while being embarrassed.

“Let’s forget about that. I noticed that I can’t stay angry with you for more than five minutes. You are special to me, Iris,” Adolphus said and patted her head. She looked at him with her doe eyes and realized that she made a mistake by calling him a harasser. He was a great master, who gave so much care to her during these few days in the palace.

“Your Royal Highness, I sincerely apologized to you for my insolent behavior. My words must have hurt my master. I can rectify my mistake by working more,” Iris stated.

Adolphus ended up laughing. Iris has this amusing charm that he could not stop admiring her.

He cupped her tiny round face in his large hands and leaned down. He kissed her cheek and looked into her eyes again. Iris gaped at him in astonishment.

“How about you rectify your mistake by doing something else?” Adolphus asked and raised his eyebrow.

“What do I need to do?” She inquired.

“I will tell you later. For now, go and have lunch with the other servants. I will see you in the evening,” Adolphus stated. Iris nodded her head. She bowed and then walked away.

Adolphus smiled and left for the hall where his family was waiting for him for lunch.
