Shannon couldn't believe what she had just heard. Brendon was asking her to go back and rest, without even offering to escort her?

"Brendon, can you at least walk me back?" Shannon pouted, "I'm a little scared."

Finally, the doorbell rang outside with Brendon's deep voice calling out, "Ranita! Open up!"

Ranita was annoyed as she threw down her phone and opened the door.

"What do you want?"

"Get your things together; come with me," said Brendon as he took hold of Ranita's hand.

She tried to pull away from him but he held on tight as he walked inside.

"I want to live alone," said Ranita firmly. But before she could say anything else, Brendon pulled her into his embrace from behind with both arms wrapped around hers. His hot breath tickled against

earlobe as he asked, "Are you angry?"

Ranita pursed her lips tightly together in response, "No."

"Stop denying it! You're so angry you could burst!" Brendon straightened her body and playfully poked her cheek with his finger. "You're pouting!"

His finger tickled her skin a bit.

And it seemed like some of the anger had deflated.

"I'm not angry! Miss Murphy came all this way to see you, so you should take care of her first!"

As soon as Ranita finished speaking, her lips were kissed.

He kissed her passionately, without reason or method, a bit hurriedly, with a hint of indistinguishable annoyance.

"Let go of me!" Ranita blushed and gasped for breath from the passionate kiss.

Brendon rarely blushed, and even during intimate moments, he always maintained a cool demeanor, making it hard to tell if he was emotionally moved.

"I'm not angry!" Ranita was like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, glaring at Brendon. "Don't say that."

"Right, right! You're not angry! Can we go back now?" Brendon realized that Ranita was easy to please. As long as he said something sweet to her, she would smile at him.

Suddenly, Brendon's heart surged with uncertainty. Maybe after three years of marriage life together she still had some feelings for him?
